So thankful I found Gridless by accident. They come to you for minor checkup and oil changes.

Support small and local businesses! Come here with your vehicle!…read more I've been taking my 2008 Mazda3 to David for years- For the longest time ever it had a clicking sound and every time I took it somewhere I felt like I only received temporary solutions that worked for a few months and then it would come back. My husband takes his RAM to David too (bought it just last fall, but tired of dealership nickle and diming him.) Our neighbors around the corner also take their cars to David! He's definitely building a reputation for himself in the neighborhood. David definitely knows what he's doing and he's a perfectionist. I can tell he takes a look at the problem in it's entirety and he's the absolute opposite of the mechanic that will try to do a quick diagnosis just to get you in and out. I just visited him again today to drop off my car (we're going out of town for the holidays) and he asked if the work he did 2 years ago was still good. I told him absolutely nothing ever came back and he had this satisfaction from hearing that. That enabled me to write this review (which I probably should have done 2 years ago). David will put in the effort to really get to the bottom of the issue and resolve the root cause problem. He will provide a series of solutions (and respective price ranges) and provide the expectation with the solution. E.g. You can pay $XXX.XX, and it'll work for the next 3 years. If you pay $YYY.YY it'll work for 10 years. To be honest, I think he's one of the rarest mechanics that provides options at all. He also breaks the car talk down to lamens terms so people like me (who don't know much about it) don't feel overwhelmed, which I appreciate very much. I've referred him to friends in the area and I hope if you stumble across this review you can read that bottom line: David knows what he's doing, he's an honest man, and you'll get more out of your vehicle than you ever thought you could.

He even quoted me before he started the repairs. He kept me up to date during the process and finished early. He was extremely fair with the price for labor and could have charged me more. He's the only one in the area that I will allow to work on my car and I will recommend him to anyone.

After 10 months of having our BMW at their garage for what we thought was a simple install of a couple custom parts, like a drop-in turbo, they told us a valve was damaged and the vehicle would need a cylinder head, but failed to get us an estimate for that work until, after 10 months, we filed a lawsuit! Then and only then did we get an estimate! We ran as fast as we could from that garage, and should have paid attention to their bad reviews! K&A AUTO REPAIR is a ray of sunshine! We took our Chevy Silverado in when the engine light went on. It needed a fuel pressure sensor. No hassle! No stalling! My hubby took the truck in and spoke with Kevin. It was late in the evening, so it stayed overnight. By 10:00 a.m. the next day, Kevin called me to tell me the truck was fixed and ready to be picked up! And the bill was not inflated to some crazy amount! Kevin was very responsive and prompt in his communication with us! He was professional and truthful about what the truck needed and the cost. True to his word. K&A AUTO REPAIR is now our go-to auto repair shop and Kevin is our contact person! It is great to know there are still auto repair shops and techs who care! Thank you, K&A AUTO REPAIR!

Customer service at desk isn't great. I've been here 4-5 times now to fix numerous things on my…read moreover a decade-old Elantra, and I've never walked into this place without having to wait for the 1 person working the desk to get off the phone or finish up paperwork. Usually the person is also disgruntled and likely just overworked so I suspect this place is just understaffed. Anyway I called this morning to see if they could fit me in and the guy (store manager I think) told me they might be able to fit me in between appointments to get my a/c issue at least diagnosed. Told me to get there within an hour so I left my house immediately. I waited for him to finish multiple phone calls and look through papers for 15 minutes. He was more interested in answering the phones than he was responding to the customers in line. He took my info finally and it took about an hour and 15 minutes for them to do an a/c diagnostic (the mechanic found me to talk to me). Then I had to wait in line again to check out... The whole time I was there, I had to wait for the desk guy to answer about 6 calls while I stood there waiting. ALL THAT SAID-- the mechanics here are fantastic. They get to the point, tell you exactly what's happening without wasting your time. This time, he let me know that the dye would take some time to move through the system so it'd be better for me to come back in a week than to just sit here and wait the whole day. He refilled the coolant or whatever and said it'd probably work fine until then. As a systems engineer, here's my free consult, Pepco: maybe train the people at the checkout counter to answer the phone about scheduling an appointment so that in-person customers don't need to wait for the customer service rep to answer phones.

Understood, went home and made an appointment for today because they had an open slot online. Went back with a 6PM appointment and Happy still said they couldn't see my car because he had already told me earlier he wasn't looking at my car so it just wasn't happening today. His unprofessionalism and condescending attitude are a disgrace. I don't know if they were short staffed or why exactly they couldn't see me today but this is ridiculous for a business to conduct themselves like this. There DEFINITELY wasn't any attitude when I was buying hundreds of dollars worth of tires a few months ago. Both interactions were EXTREMELY disrespectful!
