Must love cat poop. The RV park portion of this place is disgusting. I'm not a picky person, and I don't mind animals, but there are tons of cats everywhere outside. And what come with cats? Cat poop! The "lawn" (using that term loosely) areas between the RV spots are heavy in weeds, no grass was seen. And heavily scattered among said weeds are dozens of piles of cat poop. It's so gross. There is no way to sit outside of your RV without the overwhelming smell of cat poop. Our son stepped in a fresh pile two steps out of the truck. You must have good balance because you basically have to walk on the concrete mow strip instead of the weeds to avoid the poop. They are making zero effort to clean anything or keep the lawns decent. The random trees are dropping leaves and flowers that are left to rot and stink on the ground also. It's so fun to track that in the RV. read more

First and foremost I'd like to say I only give this place 5 stars only because of 2 of the employees that work there! I stayed here for over a year and these 2 employees I'll forever be grateful for! It is a clean hotel and quite! Not to much crazy stuff happens around there! The cops do patrol though there also! Let me start off with kim one of the housekeepers she goes above and beyond she'll make sure you have everything you need and bust her ass to make sure all her guests are happy she also works the office and will do both jobs at the same time! I'll give fare warning there's a Russian lady that works in housekeeping also and she's very rude and disrespectful!! She's rude to everyone even other employees! I've even over heard other guests request for only Kim because she is awesome and very nice not like the other lady! Now the other person would be Nancy she works in the office and also does the rest of what housekeepers don't finish up! She will also go above and beyond to make sure you're good and have everything you need! I've gone to her multiple times to get bedding and she had no problem getting it for me even if she had so much to do! These 2 women are rock stars! I can honestly say I'm grateful for meeting these 2 women and become close to them and the bond my daughter had with them! Overall I'd say yes stay if you're passing through only because of these two wonderful people! Employees in this hotel do not consistently wear masks. When I checked in, I asked the front desk attendant why she was not wearing a mask. She then put on her mask, and said not everyone in Gridley, California wears a mask. I also observed the women responsible for cleaning the rooms were not wearing masks either. This establishment is out of compliance with California state guidelines, and endangering customer's lives by putting them at risk of contracting COVID-19. I have reported this establishment to the state and local health departments, who I expect will follow-up to ensure this business is adhering to state and local guidelines in order to protect the public from COVID-19. read more

We called to inquire about a monthly stay and talked to a man who quoted us $650. When we called back later to book, suddenly the price was over $850. Considering they were the only place with space, we booked by phone. 48 hours before our arrival, our plans changed due to our employment situation out of state. We were told only then that monthly stays needed to be prepaid and wouldn't be refunded. We were told they were prepaid over the phone when we booked, but was never given any information about a cancelation policy. We were even willing to pay a week of the stay due to short notice (though most camps are fine with 48 hours). The woman in the office screamed at us and hung up on us and was completely unwilling to discuss a resolution. Steer clear. There's probably a reason they were the only park in the area with availability. read more

I cannot thank this great little Inn enough! Being displaced as an evacuated and now finding out we lost her home to the Campfire, the owners and staff have been phenomenal in helping us get comfortable and settled temporarily. Besides having RV spaces and a little studios, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the beds and bedding extremely comfortable. Their prices are reasonable and they have bent over backwards providing food, toiletries, necessities and I even heard the office manager was doing someone's laundry last night. Would stay here again, especially on vacation because it's like staying with family! read more

We stayed in the RV Park here on Friday July 21st for one night. This was probably our 5th or 6th stay here when we head up north from San Jose to Lake Almanor, over the past 12 years or so. It's been a good place for an over-night stop. The good: nice long pull through sites, full hook-ups, green grass, pool, right off hwy 99, but far enough back you don't hear much traffic and the cost is reasonable. The bad: We were there with two other families (3 RV's). Most of us that were sitting outside in our chairs on the nice green grass got bug bites on our ankles. We suspect they were probably fleas, super annoying and itchy for a few days. The same thing happened when were there 2 or 3 years ago. If it wasn't for the bug bites, I'd probably give it a 4 with the context it's an overnight stop, not a vacation destination. If you need an overnight stop and don't plan to be outside on the grass, then it's probably a decent overnight stop. There was a kid (teenager) working the front desk when we pulled in. Stay away from this dump. I reserved room 7 months in advance. 6 months later and 24 day before I needed the room I was told they couldn't guarantee our rooms. I was told they would call in 10 days to update confirm but they never did. I got rooms elsewhere. 6 months later I was charged for one night for my entire bookings which was over $400.00. After a heated debate with the manger, Jaz, nothing was settled. They stole my money so stay away from this place. Thief's come in all forms. read more

This is the 3rd review I am leaving for this place. I never write them because I am usually never that impressed on a place to sleep. But if I could write more reviews on this place I would. I absolutely loved this place. The rooms are very modern. The parking lot was very clean. Our room was affordable. We got 2 double beds for $90 bucks. Tons of fresh towels. Lots of fluffy pillows. Fuzzy warm blankets and even a extra throw blankets were given to us. Fast Wi-Fi and xfinity cable tv. No hair dryer and no free breakfast. But Starbucks was close by. This hotel is not nice by any means. The owners don't help by being unbelievably rude. I made a reservation at hotels.com. It was a non refundable reservation but I was hoping to change the date of my check in. The owner just has to approve the change. The person at hotels,com said the owner called her a freak. The super nice hotels.com employee did not deserve to be treated like that. Last time i I stayed here they wouldn't give my father in law a blanket when he asked very nicely. Perhaps in their culture it's ok to be rude and still get business but I will never ever stay here again. They lost my business which is too bad because we used to stay here several times a year. My husband and I have been here 5 or 6 times with the RV club that we belong to. I would have to say that it was just OK. The kitchen was bare and no TV or anything in the clubhouse except tables and folding chairs. They do have full hookups and a small pool and hot tub. Things were different this time. The staff at the front desk didn't say hi or even make eye contact with us when we arrived. The kitchen was still bare... except for the mouse trap and droppings in the drawers and cabinets. And the freezer had no door. Still no amenities in the clubhouse... and a challenge finding the table and chairs. Our club will NOT be back. read more

Gridley Inn helped my business house some tenants during a maintenance emergency by booking 4 rooms for 3 nights. I gave them my card number (because I live out of town) to hold them an low and behold when I went to pay they charged me for 4 nights. I told them I did not authorize 4 nights and that I wanted to cancel the 4th night because it was the next nights stay. 30+ hours from consumption. They said sorry "we don't cancel rooms once booked." I said I was going to contact my card because I authorized 3 nights not 4. DO NOT GIVE GRIDLEY INN YOUR CARD NUMBER. This is little inn isn't bad the room service is nice Rooms are great but the people there aren't grate there is loud noises at all hours most people there are perverted and gross the rv park part of the inn is terrible there is loud music playing all night long my neighbors come over uninvitedly an there dogs pee on my grass mats people are always up at 5 am being very obnoxious I do not recommend this rv park if u have kids or a low tolerance for rude people read more

If i could give negative stars i would. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. July 10,11 i stayed 2 days. I had called to reserve 1 bed, i was told there were plenty 1 beds available there was no need to reserve. When i get there, there are only 2 beds available. I pay and go to the room, it reeked of cigarette smoke so bad i couldn't breath, i called and asked for a diff room. The second room smelled of cat urine so bad. Finally the 3rd room was half decent smelling. This night there were people visiting the people staying next to us in, and out. They clearly had a note taped to their door stating no visitors, one of there visitors was under the stairs drawing on himself, as his elbow was bleeding all over. 2 women in the pool drinking wine out of a bottle, and making out. Same 2 cars constantly in, and out. 2nd night, The day seemed pretty quiet. When nighttime came at about 11 o'clock the couple next to our Room started arguing,a little after 12 I peek my head out, the night manager with standing at the stairs she said she would let them know to quiet down. They continue to argue and fight. Stomping, and yelling. She kicks him out of the room at 420 am. She then leaves after him. They come back and continue to argue until about 7 am. When i check out i let the owner Jas know, she says she will check the video. Tuesday rolls around and i call her to find out the situation, not for a discount, maybe an apology. I do frequent the place for the pool. I get no apology! She basically calls me a liar, and that when i called the office to complain it was 10. Well for 1! I didn't call the office, i opened my door! So someone else obviously called to complain about the fighting as well. I will never be back, and i will never ever recomend any business she owns!!!! read more

Beware they try to charge for extra month when you pay month-to-month this was the RV park not the rooms my husband is working in Oraville and had to stay at this park until one Open up in Oraville closer to his work anyways they try to charge us two months when we have the receipt showing we pay every month and when we try to do our laundry at 8 o'clock in the morning it wasn't open my husband had to knock on the guys door to wake him up they need a code on the door so people that work nights or days they can't do their laundry between their hours we will never stay at this park again we give it a zero'star we stayed at a lot of parts with my husband travels for work and this is about the worst one yet read more

Of course you can't consider this to be a 5 star hotel, but for what it is, I would definitely give it a solid 4 stars. I had read all the reviews and complaints about cleanliness and functionality, but when we arrived at 11pm just to stay the night we were pleasantly surprised to find it clean and functional. The shower was great with RO water too! If you are needing a quick clean stop for the night I would definitely recommend. There is also available RV Parking towards the back. Quiet place and they have a nice pool and hot tub but the bathrooms could use some cleaning and the showers backed up due to all the hair in the drain...I was a little upset to find that they lock the bathrooms, pool and laundry room at 10 pm until 7am so if you come in late they won't let you use the showers or bathrooms until 7am which I didn't like. read more

We rented a room for one night. The room was clean but the AC needs some work done. As soon as the room was given to us, the AC was turned on. We left then we we're back after 45min. The room was not cooled at all it was cooler outside than inside. The Tv control didnt work and the Tv only got one channel. I asked for the wifi password and the guy at the office was rude when providing it. The room was paid with cash so a $50 deposit was required. At check out, the guy made us step out of the office while he went back to check the room. Which I thought was rude the fact that he made us wait outside of the office. read more

We rented a Mini-Suite, Room 206, from them. They said it was a non-smoking room, but the moment we opened the door, it clearly had been smoked in. There was a "No Smoking" sign on the dresser, but there was also an ash tray on the dresser. In hind sight, I should have gone straight back to the office and demanded another room, but it was late and we had a sleeping child with us. When we returned home, as I was unpacking, I realized that anything that had been exposed to open air, including my tote bag, smelled like smoke. So disappointing! I don't know the smoking laws, but I would have thought that people can't simply stand outside their room and smoke. However, we saw people doing this on multiple occasions during our stay. Management / employees were absent, except for being in the office. As another reviewer mentioned, the young man that checked us in was all business. I got the feeling that his Dad made him work that night, and he wasn't too happy about it. Other problems: 1) One of the light bulbs was out when we arrived. 2) The show head leaked at the connection point to the pipe and sprayed side-ways onto the bathroom floor. Unless you absolutely have to stay in Gridley, our advice is to skip the Gridley Inn & RV Park and move onto the next town. Next time we will stay in Chico or Yuba City. read more

We have been traveling full time for almost 10 years. This is the worst dog fenced area we have ever seen. To begin with this is the first park that we had to pay extra for our dog. So with that said you would expect a well maintained fenced area. The area was a nice size but there was dog poop literally everywhere. The majority of the park is monthly's so I must assume none of them clean up after their dogs. There are bags available and a deposit container that will make you sick from the smell. I do not believe they ever water the area so the urine smell is also overwhelming. The afternoon temperatures increased during our 3 days which made the flies come out in full force. Besides this area there was dog poop throughout the park...on the spaces between RV's, on the gravel streets, in the flower beds, etc. Our last morning we stepped out of our RV only to find a pile of dog vomit which I know was not from our dog. If you decide to stay here know what you are getting. read more

Just spent a night here and can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. They were friendly and helpful immediately while an out-of-state friend booked the room over the phone. We arrived at 4pm, check-in was easy. The room was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. There was a very soft bed, a mini-fridge and a microwave, all to our delight. There's also reasonably-priced laundry on-site and a fenced-in dog run. All of the guests we encountered were a friendly as the staff. Location was prime with nearly a dozen restaurants (fast-food included) and a Safeway located nearby as well as a Dollar General adjacent. Overall, we had a lovely visit and would absolutely recommend this place read more

I work construction and have stayed here off and on over the last couple of years. There have been 0 upgrades and upkeep to this hotel over those last couple of years. Walkways covered in grime, bathrooms dated 1970ish and good ole fashioned tube TVs. Management has no personality, not even a response when you say hello. No eye contact at all, which in my opinion is rude. My last stay was ridiculous. Large diesel trucks in and out all night, people wandering around and talking all night. Paper thin walls so you can hear a mouse fart in the next room, let alone people next to you. If you need a room, I would suggest you keep driving. Within 20 minutes you can have a more restful stay, anywhere else. As for the $59.00 rooms advertised on their sign, don't count on that when you check out. Stay far, far away from this one. read more

Blown away by $10 of deposit being kept due to makeup (foundation ) on washcloth! Heater didn't work. Shower backed up around my feet! And went to get front desk for check out only to be greeted by a freshly woken man who didn't know why I woke him up. You're supposed to inspect dude!
