This was the sweetest place to stay, the owners truly put their all into this Inn. We loved staying at the Broad Street Inn and will 100% be coming back! We felt so welcomed and knew if we needed any information or tips for where to visit we would be pointed in the right direction! Such a sweet town just down the road, everything is walking distance but just relaxing in the back patio area was a great way to spend the night after walking to dinner! I've already recommended this Inn to friends as we were staying there a gorgeous home away from home!

Wonderful, charming, quiet, historic and affordable inn on the edge of downtown. The inn's owners, Julie and Ron, are friendly and were so helpful to us with local recommendations on hikes, restaurants, historical places. We were three couples on a weekend visit to see a musical performance at the Miners Foundry. We were able to ditch the car and walk to the concert and restaurants. We enjoyed hiking the Deer Creek Tribute Trail without needing to drive to a trailhead. Rooms are small but wonderfully appointed with comfy beds. And we were encouraged to use the downstairs parlor for gathering. We also appreciated the quiet hours posted for 9 to 9. We all agreed we want to return. Thank you for the morning coffee and homemade biscotti! 5 thumbs up!

Very nice place to stay. Owners were very friendly. Also, location is closed to downtown.

As soon as my husband opened the door we could see how cute, clean and well decorated this cute little cottage was. So light, airy, warm, inviting and friendly color choices. We had a living room with a good sized TV, absolutely BEAUTIFUL bathroom, kitchenette area with everything you would need if you stayed for many nights even! I loved the tea options!! So many coffee, tea and hot chocolate options with everything we needed. The bedroom was so perfect! We literally loved everything about this place so much! Whoever helped decorate this place did such a fantastic job! I honestly loved everything...from the little things like the plugs with USB ports near the bed, the ceiling fans, solo wall/corner AC/heaters with remotes, WiFi, TV options, cute little hooks with 2 hangers on each...to the perfect bedding, comfy couch, vintage dresser and the cutest little 2 seated table. Enjoy your stay...much better than any fancy hotel we've stayed at in my opinion! Definitely fitting for this quick little getaway from the city!

I am giving it 3 stars because we rented a room for 3, and what we got was something barely big enough for two. Our room had two beds(one was tucked into the wall) with no closet, one small hook on a door and one luggage stand. Nowhere to store 3 people's stuff at all. There was a single chair, and two tiny bedside tables. No issues with the bathroom, which was spacious and nice. I was told it was "like a hotel room", but I don't agree. Awkward and cramped for 3 humans. Besides sitting outside, there was no literally nowhere for us to play cards, or eat takeout food. Nice place overall, but I felt a bit duped. We were literally instructed to not post to yelp unless it was five stars and to write them directly, but when I saw another review echoed my experience I just had to.

We arrived before check in time and Andrea greeted us with a smile and offered to check us in early. I told her I have sleeping issues and could we be placed in a quiet area with a room. She said she knew the building with rooms 163-170. When we got to the room it was nice and warm, (a problem that we had at The Pines, a small space heater only because the wall unit wasn't working and no maintenance on the property.) We're old and there's good lighting for night time on the exterior. I left the party at 9 PM and stopped by the office for an extra blanket. The two women working were friendly and helpful. The bathroom had a new shower, glass doors and a rain shower head. I always bring my grey slippers for travel. The carpet was very clean and I was so pleased because I'm not used to that. I told my hubby, this is where we are staying in the future when we drive down to see the family.

The moment I walked in, I was hit with an overwhelming chemical smell--something like bleach, degreaser, or another strong cleaner. It was so overpowering that it made the room uncomfortable right away. The bathroom was the biggest disappointment. The bathtub drain was dirty, there were skid marks on the toilet seat, and there was hair left in the sink. None of those issues should ever be present in a room that's supposed to be cleaned before a guest arrives. The bedroom wasn't any better. The comforter had a noticeable blue stain and a rip in it. It was obvious the damage was visible before the bed was made, yet it was put on anyway. To make matters worse, there were actual boogers on the ceiling and another one on the bed frame. I have pictures documenting all of these issues. The hotel itself is clearly older, and while I understand older properties require more maintenance, many of these issues could have been addressed with basic housekeeping and attention to detail. There were also paint chips missing from the walls and several other small maintenance issues that would have been simple to repair. None of these are major renovations--they're basic touch-ups that would make a significant difference in the appearance and quality of the room. My reservation was originally for two nights, but the room was in such poor condition that I couldn't bring myself to stay a second night. I checked out after just one night because I simply wasn't comfortable spending another evening there. Considering the condition of the room and the price I paid, I do not feel I received the quality of accommodations I was promised. I would appreciate appropriate compensation for this experience. A room at this price point should be clean, well-maintained, and ready for guests upon arrival. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Overall, this was a very disappointing and disgusting experience, and I will not be staying here again. The size of the rooms and available amenities simply do not make up for the lack of cleanliness and care. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously so future guests don't have the same experience.
