    Somewhere in Texas
    Becca H.

From the creators of Lovebird, we get this super fun and delicious new burger restaurant. Same funky, fun vibe of Lovebird, bigger and much improved location! There's plenty of outdoor seating (I think like 10 tables?), though the inside seating area has a similar number of tables (aka not many). Came around 11:30 expecting to beat the lunch rush since we know this is a popular spot. Not busy at all when we got there but it majorly picked up while we were eating. I ordered the Somewhere in Texas and some fries. Fries are well seasoned and crispy, and taste great dipped in ranch. The burger is messyyyyy! So much sauce and slaw, so prepare for that. But also prepare for it to be DELICIOUS. Every bite has slaw and bbq sauce and bacon in it. 10/10, I loved this burger. We regularly meet as friends in Lakeland who live in Orlando and Tampa and I'm sure this will now be a part of our regular restaurant rotation. Also an easy walk to The Joinery for dessert! The menu here said they're going to have gelato but not yet, so can't speak to that.

Weekend Burger and Krinkle cut fries

First visit to Grievous Angel after seeing all of the hype on the socials. We ordered the Weekend Hero Burger ($11) two smashed patties filled to the brim with melty cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles and the Somewhere In Texas Burger ($11) which is two smashed Pattie's, bacon, cheese and a ranch slaw and a side of Krinkle cut fries ($4). We sat outside where the majority of seating lives on large picnic tables made for sharing. Our food was delivered to us and I have to say, while it was warm, it was not hot. The burgers were both quite tasty and ample in size. I usually done care for lettuce on my burger, the ranch slaw was perfect and I really enjoyed it. The Krinkle cut fries were barely warm and way over-salted. Next time we will order without salt. The staff is nice and the location is nice too. I'm not a huge fan of outdoor dining as it's hit in Florida and we have lots of bugs. Today around noon was nice, somewhat overcast and a decent breeze so our dining experience was enjoyable. There is only a couple of tables inside and of course they are full. They do offer some special event like a movie night on the lawn and a Mother's Day out event coming up on Mother's Day. Will we go back....yes we will. Should you go? These are some pretty fine burgers at a little bit of a higher price. I can recommend them. When we got there, there was a short line inside, and by the time we ordered the line was outside on the sidewalk almost down to the street. There is no parking at the restaurant but there is a public parking lot across the street near the lake.

Grievous Angel didn't disappoint. As regulars of Love Bird's Chicken, we were excited to try this concept from the same team--and it delivered. The "Somewhere in Texas" burger is loaded with flavor, and the ranch slaw really sets it off. Add jalapeños if you want an extra kick. The standout, though, was the "Revival" hot dog--topped with cheddar, chorizo chili, and onions. The snap on the dog was unmatched, with a balanced, subtle smoky flavor. We also tried the fried pickles and dipped our fries in the jalapeño sauce--definitely worth it. Only heads up: parking is limited, so plan to park across the street and walk over. Excited to come back and try more of the menu.

My husband raved about the burger he had. The fries are delicious. I ordered the dog , lots of bun and my dog wasn't hot? The beers were cold and the server was super nice . The decor is interesting and pleasing to the eye. We caught them on a Tuesday when it wasn't busy before 5:00. We were just killing time while our pip got groomed . Will return and try more of their restaurant options .

After reading reviews on Yelp our family made the short drive to downtown Lakeland to try Grievous Angel. Parking was easily found in the public lit across the street. The venue is small but cosy. A few Yelp'ers talked about the music being loud but it wasn't too bad for a Friday dinner rush. We placed our order (three Weekend Hero burgers, two orders of fries and three drinks) and were then lucky enough to find seating inside to avoid the humidity outdoors. Our order was delivered to our table within a few minutes and was fresh and hot. The burgers are more of a smashburger style and were well seasoned. The fries had seasoning on them which wasn't overbearing. Discounting one star because it's a little on the pricey side (our meal ran $53.50).

egg rolls (often sold out) we weren't impressed

Been twice. Loved the Peppercorn Saint-mainly cuz it's messy. Second time got their signature burger which was "ok". I'm not a smashburger fan but this was the better among them. Roughly 10 min wait outside, 10 min wait once line goes inside, then 10 min for your order to come out. Not bad. Too crowded inside, too hot outside, we ate with a/c in our car 2nd visit. Parking is a bit of a walk and you will get towed by local businesses. Music is much better (reasonable) than their too loud counterpart, Lovebirds. And enjoyed the music selections. I do want to try their hot dogs but won't be an addict like some are to burgers & fries. Didn't enjoy the hustle and bustle of order delivery and movement among the crowds.

We came in with VERY high expectations. Love Bird is one of the best around, they can do no wrong. We wanted this next endeavor to meet the same standards, but it fell short. They were out of a few things on the menu: egg rolls, chorizo chili, and ranch slaw. I opted for a grievous angel burger, chili cheese fries, and fried pickles. The burger was lovely. The top layer of fries were great, then they they were just plain fries. And the fries pickles were a disappointment. Pickles chips are superior, pickle spears will work, random tiny pieces of fried pickle, many of which were just skin? Eehhh, no thanks. The service was pretty good. Most of the staff went above and beyond. Making conversation with those waiting in line, and answering questions to help speed up the process. And then there was the cashier who had no interest in helping, answering questions, or even being polite. Maybe she was having a bad day. The ambiance is fun. Nice decoration, clean bathroom, easily accessible drinks and condinents. The bar is super cool (though horribly placed),but theres Definitely not enough seating at the bar or otherwise. Ill go back and hope they've worked out the kinks, and also hope they have the eggrolls and chorizo chili in stock. Those have to be better than the fries and pickles. I hope.

Although this place has Just recently opened, this place is already a serious contender for one of my favorite spots. From the owners of Lovebirds (the hot chicken spot we all love and swear by), and somehow they've struck gold again. The Revival Dog is loaded and ridiculous in the best way -- juicy, flavorful, and just messy enough to know it's done right. Every bite hits. And the Somewhere in Texas burger? Absolute knockout. Smoky bacon, juicy patty, great sauce balance -- you can tell they didn't cut corners on anything. The whole menu feels intentional, the quality is there, and the execution is already dialed in -- which is wild for a brand new spot. Ambiance had great music. The service was just too notch If this is how they're starting, yeah... this place isn't just good, it's going to be a problem will be back often.

Grievous Angel- devious burgers and a kickin' vibe that are here to stay! The plot of land where Grievous Angel has bravely stationed has struggled to keep business- place after place has tried and fell through here, but I think this one is finally gonna stick. From the same minds who dreamed up LoveBird Almost Famous Chicken-(if you haven't been you must also visit) this place had high expectations to live up to. And it served every bit of anticipation with hot fresh and delicious food. It's set up similar to fast food joints, where you order at the register, then sit and your food will be brought out. They also have a full service bar for those eating at the restaurant. The vibe is funny- kind of a western/revival type feel. Just as with Lovebird they did a great job with the decor and feel of the place. Now, the menu is primarily burgers and hot dogs. But the burgers are smash style, and I don't exactly know what that means but they are so much better than a lot of burgers places out there. Juicy and cooked and seasoned perfectly. I tried the peppercorn saint which was basically their take on a mushroom & Swiss burger. Absolutely mouth-watering and so good. My friend enjoyed a burger that came with slaw on it, unique and a success. Since they just opened (literally today, 2/16/26) they have a limited menu until they get into a better rhythm. With the full menu, there's yummy sides and a few desserts. Fries don't come with the burger or hot dogs, you order them as a side. All of the workers were super lovely and it's a great experience here. It does take a long while waiting in line to order, and especially while it's new be prepared for that. But located just off of Lake Mirror and downtown Lakeland, the Grievous Angel is in a prime location and is ready to wow your taste buds!

I recently visited Lakeland's newest burger joint with a friend for lunch. I tried The Grievous Angel Burger with a side of Crinkle Cut Fries. The burger had a soft bun filled with a pair of nicely charred burger patties, gooey American cheese, caramelized onions, tangy pickles, crisp pickled jalapenos, and a creamy salty sauce. The fries were crisp and nicely seasoned. Overall Grievous Angel is a nice addition to the Lakeland food scene.

Sooo good! We got some basic burgers and fries and the egg rolls. The burgers and the buns are the perfect smash burgers. The fries were nice. Egg rolls were definitely worth it and just pour the sauce all over them. Full bar was an awesome touch too. Would return often if we lived down here. Outside seating and inside. Fun decor and noisy inside but because of some great music playing. The service was great. It was a busy Friday at lunch and we had people coming to check on us, clean up for us and just making sure we were set. Awesome place!

Great burgers cooked and seasoned perfectly. Really good fries fast service and very friendly. These burgers are a 8.2 if you are in the area and want a great burger. This is the place. We will be back soon.

Absolutely incredible! The food, the service, & the cleanliness was immaculate. Always enjoy Chef Rocco's creations.

Family Food Trailer Adventure!!!…read more Please note: We have been eating here since Mid Nov., but I wanted to wait until we tried almost everything before placing my review. After our first dining adventure here, I knew we would be back and I wanted to leave an epic, honest review for everything I could. Our Family craves this food and when they open and at the AutoZone location so are we at least once that weekend!!! I have been Driving by this food trailer, sitting in the AutoZone parking lot for a while before that. The large burgers on the trailer had me gauking as they looked so good! We finally had the chance to stop by and OMG these are some of the best Smash or non smash burgers all 5 of us have ever had!!! This is now our go to place for burgers as they have something you cannot get anywhere else... SNOOP'S SPECIAL SAUCE!!! What an elevation to any burger!!! The price point is definitely on point with the quality, plus you get a pile of fries (Plain or Parmesan) with that SPECIAL SNOOP SAUCE all for 16$. Let me ask a question: WOULD YOU RATHER? Have a basic burger from corporate stores for 12$-17$ and have a Good Burger & Fries Or... Have one of the best burgers of your life every time you go to snoops as consistency is key and SNOOPS has it!!! You can also get a burger, fries & 6 piece wing combo for 25$ - Saving you 7$ from the cost of a 6 piece wing, what a great deal!!! The wings are amazing and large in size to support the 6 pieces & then Parm Fries for the 16$ price point, but still the burger/fry/wing combo is definitely worth it!!! Sauces available: XXX BACON JELLY RANCH LEMON PEPPER MANGO HABANERO - tried and loved Garlic parm Thai sweet chili - tried and loved Hint honey Garlic - tried and loved The Philly steak may seem higher priced than most, but holy beef this is the best Philly Steak I have had in Florida and I've eaten them all over the northeast, even in Philadelphia, so I like to think I know what a real Philly should taste like. First Snoops got the soft/fresh bread, which we all know is key to the sandwich, the bread is filled with meet and cheese and I could not get enough the first time as I went back the next day to get another one. For me the 25$ Philly is so big you could share with another or eat it all yourself, like I do, cause it's so good & don't forget those Parm fries come with it to!!! To sum things up if you haven't tried Snoop's your doing your and your families bellies a disservice. The owner operator is passionate about his food and proud as he shows every guest their food before bagging it up. I'm sure it's just to see your face as this man takes pride in his food quality and guest service!!! AS ALWAYS, TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

And the VERY unimpressive burger (which should have been 3 sliders) tasted like week-old-defrosted meat, and very gamey tasting. It was supposed to be Angus beef, but it most DEFINITELY WAS NOT! Not to mention that, although it was supposed to be a smash burger, it shouldn't have been see-thru and PAPER-THIN. I highly DO NOT recrecommend buying from this food truck. It will be a waste of your time, taste buds and money! Go buy a Krysral burger, you'd enjoy it more.
