Worst experience ever waiting for the check for 15 minutes while the bartender was flirting with a customer on the other side

Some good/some OK/nothing technically bad. We sat outside and the service was quite good. We always had refills and we had two or three people taking care of us. We got the grouper and the Cuban egg rolls for apps. The Cuban egg rolls were really good. I would go back and get those for a meal. The grouper was good. The star of the meal was the $6.99 cheeseburger and fries deal really (their Monday special). It was a good burger too! We got the tacos...wouldn't really recommend. The grilled cheese was interesting but I would not get it again. Overall nice place and would come back. read more

The food was excellent. The portions for most of the food are really big even though the price point is very reasonable. The service was great as well. Jayden N took very good care of us! The vibe was great whether you were there for a game or just to enjoy a meal. There is an outside option that has tables of 4 or 8. The bar is pretty big with a lot of seating if that's what you like. They have at least 30 TVs making this a good choice for a football Sunday. I did the bottomless mimosas. Basically they have a bar set up in the back for you to make your own. I didn't love getting up and walking back there, but it was nice to get one on my own terms. They were very good about monitoring it, and making sure it was stocked with everything you needed. They have a game room in the back as well. read more

I tried to cheat on Twin Peaks... and instantly regretted it. Pulled up here thinking I was about to discover a hidden gem. Nah. It was more like finding out your "promising rookie" can't dribble. My boy kept side-eyeing me the whole time like, "We could've been at Twin Peaks right now." That look? Pure disappointment--with a side of hunger. I was holding out hope that the food would be clutch it in the fourth quarter... but nope. Came out flat. No buzzer beater. Just bland plays all around. Now, I will give props where they're due--the music was legit. Trap, hip-hop, even some unexpected tracks that had me nodding like, "okay, DJ came to play." But the vibes? Nonexistent. It's like the DJ was playing to an empty arena. Great soundtrack, no crowd energy. Also--those prices? Felt like I was getting charged playoff ticket prices for a preseason experience. It's about time I left a review since I get Food+Beer to-go at least 2-3x per week. It's so tough to find quality "fast" food and Food+Beer has been my solution for that. The burrito bowl is my go-to when I'm in a rush for lunch/dinner and I'm so thankful I never have to stress the quality of the food - it's always consistently the same (which is great). Really haven't had any issues with food not being ready at the projected time which is a big plus as well. I tried the Kona Bleu burger, Kona coffee rub, with bacon, crumbled blue cheese, & sauteed onions. LTOP Toppings lettuce, tomato slice & sliced red onion, great dill pickles, brioche bun..I didn't really notice the coffee overtly, but it was a really great hamburger. I ordered the double, I probably should have just had this a single, the patties looked to be 5 or 6 oz. It came with plenty of topping packets: mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard. The burger needed nothing, it was delicious as served. My wife got the Greek Life Rice bowl. It featured a hefty portion of grilled salmon over wasabi peas, half half an avocado, chopped cucumber, & some pickled veggies, with Green Goddess dressing. It was pretty in the box, a good size. My son got the Buffalo Chicken grilled cheese and said it was good, if messy. I don't like the fries here, always soft and limpid, unappetizing. We were unable to get the fries to crisp in the air fryer. I don't know why, normally the air fryer will restore the fries to near-original crispiness. The bar has a good selection of beers including a few local craft options and plenty of TVs to catch whichever game you want to watch. The food menu features both standard bar options and more creative takes on bar food. I ordered the Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks, Fresh Wings, and Fresh Cut Fries. The Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks were addictive and a must order. Nicely crisp shells were filled with a gooey and creamy mixture of cream cheese and mozzarella, topped with crisp scallions and paired with a sweet lightly spicy chili sauce. The wings had crispy skin, tender meat, and paired with a lightly spicy creamy jalapeno ranch. However, they were very small and not very filling; at $9.79 for 5 pieces they were very expensive for what you get. The fries were soft, savory and nicely seasoned. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon. We were seated right away. This is a spacious, well lite and modern space. The menu has variety of food options to select from. The name lets you know what to expect. The beer selection was okay. I opted for the green 'gansett for St Patrick's day. A little heavy on the green. Second beer was an IPA. Both had massive heads. Service was decent, Delaney was there every time we needed her. We each ordered a wrap: Barbie for her, mahi for me. The mahi wrap was on the small side. My small order of fries, however, was enormous. And tasty. So hopefully it won't happen to this one. I have eaten so far here at food + beer twice. My family and I enjoyed our waitress Rachel. She was very informative on the menu and great attitude. We tried the goat cheese. I loved it but the family did not. It's a lot of cheese so you have to like goat cheese. I got wings with the sauces on the side. The wings were juicy. Sauces are on the spicy side so glad I got them on the side. My family tried the burgers and loved them. The second time we went for brunch. Loved the bartender April. Had the Bloody Mary. Was very good and brought back one of my favorite memories. One downside no sweet tea when we went. It's Polk County you gotta have sweet tea. Loved the place and definitely will be back.
