Cool spot! Local and the car hop style at its best. Drove about 40 minutes to get here. Worth the drive! We had the small burger, 3 piece chicken and the large chili cheese dog. All were good but we ranked with the chicken then the burger then the dog. The portions were huge and the prices were great. But the real star of the show was our car hop. She (Destiny) was outstanding and honestly the best part. She was very attentive and helpful with questions and suggestions. Very much appreciated. The portions of the food were so large we couldn't finish them so as a result we had a lot to place back on the window tray. Destiny noticed we didn't finish and offered to get us something else as she initially thought we didn't care for the food. We were just full but truly appreciate her looking out for us. That is a rare trait now days. She made the whole experience something to talk about and come back for. I hope she still works there when we do come back! Thank you. read more

FAMILY FOOD ADVENTURE, 3 TIMES OVER 2 DAYS!!! First day here: The Wife, my son and me have been wanting to try Dino's been seeing it for a while. Since it was just us 3 and it was getting late we decided to try it, FINALLY!!! The Service was awesome, waitresses were very pleasant and informative. Even asked if we had any questions. The picnics tables are outside next to where cars pull up, so be ready for lights in your eyes from non courteous customers, but it's a nice throw back to the ways of old in essence. Maybe if the wait staff asked drivers to turn there lights off while they wait or if Dino's hung signs it would help. Food = Value This place is spot on for sizing to what they charge and for some items like the footlong chili dog, It's just a great deal!!! You can bring everyone here and get most a Full Belly for under 10$ and it's not fast food!!! Frozen foods yes, but cooked really well!!! We got a little bit of each of our Fav's. PRO TIP: GET THE BASKET IT IS WORTH IT!!! Fries or Onion Rings!!! Our order consisted of: Fried mushrooms: Pre made frozen mushrooms, but the cook was perfect, the breading stayed intact and there was only yummy mushroom water juice inside the breading. No oil leak through that can happen with cheap frozen mushrooms. These are at least mid level frozen level and were enjoyed by all. Especially with the in house Ranch dressing, this was really tasty!!! Philly cheese steak: Price for size was good food value and if you get it with all the toppings it would have been even bigger. It comes with the salad works as a topping with grilled peppers and your choice of onion type, raw or grilled. I only got the grilled peppers and onions as it should, for me anyways, lol!!! The Philly was cooked very well and the steak to cheese ratio was decent, but I can always use more cheese, can't we all??? The Philly bread went perfect with the bite of steak and cheese. A nice soft bread. Great Value!!! Chili dog (12") w/bun to match length. Hot dog was great all you'd want from a dog. Not a low grade tasting hot dog at all. It was quality. The bun was really good as well!!! The Chili was a little lite, but it was late so it might have been the end of a batch and they just didn't have enough left to give more. (Look at the 2nd day for an update of chili). Onion Rings as a side were ok. These are basically like the McCain onion rings from the super market. Flat formed batter, not crunchy like you would get with a better battered pre frozen onion rings, which does cost more, but then just give a couple less, there's better quality onion rings out there for sure!!! Still good food value tho. We would get again, just with known expectations next tim The Large Cheeseburger Basket: My son ate the cheeseburger before I even got a chance to ask him how it was. LOL he loved it!!! Rice and fries were good as well!!! The Wifey got the Clam strips dinner it came with Fries, Slaw & Rice, All 3!!!Tartar sauce and cocktail sauce available. The clams were a little small as a portion for her likings, but it was still enjoyed by her. With all the sides it is a very filling plate especially for the price she said!!! All in all it was a great 1st visit, it was so good food = value, taste and service wise, that my eldest and I went back for lunch the next day. For lunch my eldest got the Large Hot dog, Fries & Cole slaw. They enjoyed it all!!! I got the buffalo chicken salad w/blue cheese dressing. It was a very good salad and plenty of chicken/dressing. I really enjoyed it!!! Now I was tired and still full from lunch when everyone else was hungry. So, I said Let's go a third time so I don't have to cook!!! Three ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers with sides & the little one had to try the chili cheese dog. Again everyone enjoyed their food and it was only 36$ for 4 non fast food meals that's cheaper than 4 fast food not as good food meals!!! Last Pro tip: Call ahead if you want it to go. We did, twice and both times we were told 10 minutes and each time they were on point. We would pull up, someone came right over, take our name go in and a few mins later they would come out with our food. Did I mention GREAT SERVICE!!!! 4 Star rating b/c some things I mentioned can be improved upon for even better quality, but definitely worth the try and return!!! I have eating food from the establishment before, today was my first time to be able to stop in. I have tried several dishes, from burgers to wings to seafood and it has all been excellent. My son ordered us some grub (not hub, although it was to go and he drove the 15 minutes back to our home). I requested the BBQ beef sandwich and some onion rings. It was probably due to the items being placed into Styrofoam containers, but the bun to the sandwich got a tad wilted so to say and the onion rings couldn't breath and they were limp. The BBQ beef was tasty though. I'm thinking eating both fresh after being made, especially the rings, will make a difference. When we try the place again I'll give an update. I ordered online and had a 3pc with double fries and onion rings. I paid an additional $1.75 for the onion rings. Checked my order only to not have fries. The lady comes just to say oh we can do both fries and onion rings on orders. I'm like well I was able to Oder it online and she says yea we have that issue. And so I ask so I can't get fries even though I paid additional to have onion rings. No you can purchase fries. So they have policies that you won't know about until you get there. I had a cheeseburger and fries ans my husband had an Italian Sub and onion rings. They do have a few picnic tables to eat at if you don't want to eat in your car. We will be back. read more

As much as I wanted to love my first try with Dino's, I think it was a "one & done". I drove in about 11:30 to a less than filled drive-in. I waited longer than I should've due to people pulling in later getting served first and orders coming out. I'd actually thrown my car in reverse when I got a server and placed my order for a hot dog, onion rings and a chocolate shake. They didn't have relish offered pickles, said yes. Always surprises be when a hot dog seller doesn't have the the 4 main requests--catsup, mustard, relish, onion. Food came out fairly quickly but she dropped it off and then was off to drop off another, picking up their payment from me last. The 3 items was $14 plus tip. The dog was longer than the bun but extremely salty and not cooked through. The bun was dried out and cracking. No pickles. Onions weren't diced but strings, awkward on a dog. Onion rings tasted great but the "crumbs" in the box tasted like fish--so people allergic to seafood might be wary of anything fried in the same oil. The shake was super thick so that the straw did not work, but no spoon included. It was only mixed on the top half, the bottom have was straight vanilla. It was not pleasant trying to eat it by pouring the cup at a tilt and letting the pile plot at your face. I think you get the total picture. Not an enjoyable meal. the way others love this place it may be a case of choosing the wrong things, but the service was off today as well read more

The monthly special is country fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans, rice, and a roll. Price??? 7.95 And it is really good. Any place else it would be 10.95 or 11.95. You can call and order to pick up at 967-0230. The servers are friendly and don't mind answering questions. Everything is very clean. The ambiance is Havendale Road. They do get busy, so come early if you want a table. Oh, the half pound burger is really good, and only 5.95 beats anyone for taste and price. The basket is around 8.00 bucks. Went to Dinos today, was very disappointed, drove away with food, order was wrong, took it back to have it corrected, they corrected it in a very disappointed way, told girl a second time hoping she'd let management know, told her I was very disappointed, she basically shrugged her shoulders as if there's nothing she could do. Been a long time customer for over 50 years, hoping they are not losing their touch with customer satisfaction? My mom and I stopped here for dinner once we saw how cute it was when we first drove by. We ordered two corn dogs, onion rings and a milkshake and a drink and all of it was cooked to perfection and fixed just right. The prices are extremely reasonable and it felt like old times when you could order at a drive-in and get good quality food for a great price. My husband and I were looking for something local to dine at (not a chain) and found, thanks to YELP!, Dino's Drive In. It sounded like fun, so we drove on over. SQUEE! Oh yes, this is what we were hoping for. A real drive in, in business since 1968, you pull up in your car (you can eat in the car or at a picnic table) and a waitress comes out and takes your order. Then she brings it back out on a tray and hangs it on your car window. We decided to eat in the car because there were a lot of large families arriving that needed the picnic tables more. So, what to order? There were a LOT of choices on the menu board hanging down and the prices were fantastic. My husband and I were laughing at eating things like fried chicken or ribs in the car but we ended up ordering chili dogs. (LOL) One odd thing I forgot to ask "why" about, the sandwiches come with a basket option of adding fries and slaw or fries and rice. Entrees come with fries, slaw, and rice. Hubby had fries and slaw, I had fries and rice. The rice is yellow and has pieces of stewed tomato in it. It's very good, but strange. I really should have asked "why?" LOL OK, so those chili dogs (we got ours with cheese and onion too). Oh man, those were freaking delicious. They were large and double wrapped in foil on a paper liner (don't eat by accident lol) and we laughed ourselves silly trying to eat them in the car. We did get it all over our faces but kept our clothes and car clean, thankfully. We both agree, probably the best chili dog we've ever eaten. Yes, I'm sure the experience helped flavor it somewhat, but still. It was fresh, slightly spicy, generous, hot, messy and just the right amount. The kind of best where you are licking your fingers and looking at the foil wondering if you'd be committing some type of serious etiquette faux pas by licking it clean and then wondering who gives a flying fig because it is that good and will you ever see those people again? Ate lunch here the other day. The road noise was off-putting, as was sitting at tables outside with people running their car engines while dining inside them. The food was all good. The prices were amazing! I was a little disappointed that so much looked to be pre-made and just dropped in a fryer. Service was good. Weight staff was friendly. The hamburger was very good. The catfish was lightly battered. The fried fish and the shrimp were clearly frozen food items, but I do love a place that makes her own ranch dressing! Today we experienced Dino's Drive In for the first time. We ordered the large cheeseburger with fries, large bacon cheese burger with fries, Chili dog with cheese and an order of hush puppies. All of this along with two unsweet iced teas was just over $25. The burgers are of good size and taste flame broiled. These were some awesome burgers and they were under $5 each. The fries are Krinkle cut and abundant. The hushpuppies were just right. We saved the chili dog with cheese for dinner and it is a thick and was close to a foot long. It was very tasty even after a few hours when we had it fir dinner. Service is either at your car, at one of the few tables outside under cover or picked up as phone order. If being served in your car, there are menus posted in front of the parking spaces and servers or car hops come to you. We've passed this place many times over the years and we are so glad that we stopped in. We will be back for sure and we are excited to try some of the many other menu items. read more
