Horrible! I took my vehicle to here. It had a broken belt that ran the alternator. They gave me a quote for over $5000 dollars that included replacing the timing chain and the brakes. I asked them to please only fix the issue that I brought the car in for and they refused to even give me a quote for it. They said that was my price. I had to tow my vehicle to another mechanic which was much more honest. They were able to fix my issue for less than $1000 dollars. It's obvious that they saw me as an easy mark and tried to take a lot of money from me. It's a shame that you have to be so careful and almost fight with so many mechanics these days to not get robbed. But I'm here to tell you, these are crooks. STAY AWAY!! read more

THE SERVICE OF A BMW DEALERSHIP - IN GRIFFIN ! I need to set the record straight for all of these less then 5 star reviews. I have never been to this location and it was recommended by another repair shop in the area that could not diagnose my BMW. So this car has been the absolute best car I have ever owned but it has also been the most expensive (in repairs) So the diagnostic fee was $250. I was informed (very professionally) - the deposit or diag fee does not apply to repairs. I thought that was completely reasonable. Another large and long standing repair shop here in Griffin did not have the computer equipment or the experience to begin to tackle this problem. It was discovered that the main computer had a fault and needed to be replaced. I was also told it would be covered by a 2 year warranty (I was pleasantly surprised). I was also told that it would cost about $2,200. Not that I did not trust Griffin Imports but you know - I called the BMW dealership in Macon now that I knew what the problem was. The dealership in Macon wanted almost double the cost to make this repair. I am very thankful for GRIFFIN IMPORTS - IN GRIFFIN that saved me money and the hassle of taking this car to a dealer in Macon and completed the repair flawlessly with a warranty. For those of you low star folks - highly skilled - high tech repairs are expensive. If you have a car worth investing in - especially a not so common import - this is the place !!! read more

When I called this place the voice mailbox is full so you can't leave a message. The announcement says to text them instead. So I did. I asked several questions trying to find out how much they would charge to replace a starter on my 2000 Ford Explorer Automatic V-6. Their answer was, "Good morning, $200 on a diagnostics. Then we'll come up with a game plan on how much to repair." So I asked how much to remove the 4 nuts & starter & put the new one I bring them in my car? They said, "Cannot make any estimates until we know exactly what the issues are." So I asked what their hourly labor rate is? And they said, "we work by the job!" Then I said, "Ok then could you please tell me how much to replace a starter, please?" So they never responded. I just don't know why they couldn't give me a ball park price on a specific repair without needing to ask the same question over & over in different ways. It makes me feel like they have something to hide when they can't give you an estimated cost up front. I would not recommend them if you are wanting straight answers to simple questions. read more

I was very pleased with the service I received here on my late-model Mercedes. The owner is very knowledgeable, did well to keep me well-informed as to when my parts arrived, and arranged a late afternoon appointment around my schedule that would accommodate me even if it meant he had to stay later than his normal business hours. He repaired my air conditioning unit in no time at a reasonably affordable cost, and I drove away with ice cold air blowing throughout the car once again. He is substantively knowledgeable as it pertains to foreign cars and has a obvious passion for foreign vehicles. I presume that is why he is so successful at what he does. I highly recommend his repair shop for all of your needs on your BMW, Mercedes, and other foreign vehicles. Based on my experience, you will not be disappointed. His wife who is there sometimes is as very kind and hospitable. I wish i could rate this place a zero if it was possible. They not only take a while to look at a vehicle and i had to call for updates, but they have the audacity to charge $125 for a "diagnostic fee" 6 months ago and has increased it to $200. This is just the charge to look at the vehicle and doesnt go toward any other charges. He also charged me 125 adn told me the car was fine and took it again for him to tell me it was the battery a week later, which they charged us twice for.
