Last year I contacted Griffin Organics to fix my lawn. It was more weeds than grass. I highly recommend their service. By the end of the summer there was a remarkable change. Their service was great. Do not use this company unless u receive a lifetime guarantee. Glenn, the owner said he personally over saw my job when indeed he let his Forman, who on many occasions had alcohol on the job. All of the $90,000 of work Griffin Landscaping completed stated falling apart with in months after completion. Rock walls. Leveling of land, walkways etc. I asked him to repair instead he sued me. We both won in the lawsuit. He sued for $14000 and I was credited $4,000 because of the "shoddy" work. And I had a terrible attorney. Bad recommendation. read more

Very disappointed in Griffin's. Recently had them deliver a cord of firewood and it was poorly seasoned. I have tried to burn it in my fireplace, but find it very difficult to burn. If it wasn't such a hassle/ production I would return the wood for a refund. read more

After yesterdays record breaking Snow Storm, I was able to sleep through the night knowing Glenn and his company would not let me or my tenants down. And after awakening this morning. After I complained that the employee who gave me an estimate was not responding to my emails or texts, Glenn said that he would personally oversee my job moving forward. INCREDIBLY UNRELIABLE. I ordered a dumpster to be delivered on Wednesday morning and took the day off from work to be able to begin filling it. At 8:40 a.m. I received a call from them saying the driver had a personal emergency and the dumpster would be delivered the next day instead. So I went to work. I took off the next day. At 10:00 a.m. I called to be sure the dumpster was being delivered and was told, "The driver had a personal emergency. It probably won't be delivered until tomorrow." They didn't even have the courtesy to call me to give me this lame excuse again! I canceled the dumpster - as I'd likely get the same response the NEXT day - and ordered it from a reliable company. I just had a lot of work done to my front yard. Glenn was very responsive and his team and foreman were great and very positive no matter how many times I asked for a planting to be moved. I didn't compare prices with anyone else because Griffin's does have an excellent reputation (I have lived in this area all my life) and both my husband and I had a good feeling about him. In the end, I wound up adding a bunch of plants (10 More) and I only paid for the extra tree. From start to finish it was one day and my house looks completely different. I can't speak to the low scores but my experience (yesterday) was fantastic. Glenn even asked me if I was comfortable with the workers, were they respectful etc.. which they all were. I found this company to be very expensive and, having lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years, have never really heard anything positive about them. A few years ago, I called them for an estimate for a stone walkway and the seeding of my back lawn (appr 1/4 acre). Was given a quote of $10,000. I called around the neighborhood and had a few other companies come in to give estimates. I wound up with another local firm (who was very familiar with Griffin's) and was charged $2,500 for 2 walkways and the area beneath my deck done in Unilock stones. For the tilling, new soil and seeding of my backyard, I was charged $1,800.00 Doing the math, that's a total of $4,300 for an excellent job that was done in less than half the price from Griffin. Griffin called me back a few times and I finally informed them that I went with another company. They seemed a bit insulted about it but I had to do what was needed. They pressed me for information (who did the job and for how much) but I didn't think that was any of their concern. I cannot honestly assess the quality of Griffin's work. But I found them to be way overpriced so I cannot recommend them simply on that basis. read more

Horrible customer service.They never call you back, they always say call us. They charge you for services they never perform. I cancelled my service . Going with a smaller honest service. I caught them twice sending me a bill for services they never did. When I questioned it they backed down right away. Stay away from these guys. read more

Used them for landscaping, lawn service and sprinkler service- switched them all after one too many bad experiences. Got a $700 bill for sprinkler replacement that was quoted at $200...and found out they replaced with used parts. Tried to contact them and was referred to the person who overcharged us. read more

Do not use. I spent nearly $5,000 for foundation plants last spring ( I later realized I had overpaid for what was done.). Over the winter 8 small ferns died ( I understand, this can happen). I let Glenn Griffin know and requested that the plants be replaced. This was a cost to him of under $150 at most and should have been a simple fix.. He dragged me out from April to November (claiming we should give the ferns a chance to regrow, claiming we should wait for cooler weather etc). You can guess the rest of the story: plants were never replaced, neither hide nor hair response from the owner. Let my experience be a warning to others! read more

I have own at Chappaqua commons for many years. We have had many landscaping and contractors on the property. Most of them were overpriced, unreliable, not very professional. We first hired griffin landscaping co as a contractor. I met very successfully with Glen the owner who was hired too do brick work, rebuild stairways, rebuild walkways, masonry work secured all our loose cobblestone, pointing replace bluestone steps, irrigation and fencing around property His prices were very fair, we had three bids on every job. Needless to say he and his worker did a excellent job. We subsequently hired Glen's CO for landscaping and snow removal. They planted hundreds of plants and trees and many daffadils and tulips, trimmed and cut down dead trees when necessary. We are now changing the name of our complex to CC botanical gardens. Glen and his men did a fantastic job. Glen stands by everything he does for us. If we are not satisfied he comes back until we are. If plants die he comes back and replaces them. Incredible improvement from what we had and where we were. Our quality of life has greatly improved. For years we could hardly sell any units, since Glen came aboard we have sold over twenty units in two years. His foreman and workers are terrific. Glen constantly comes to check on the property.
