I had a sales rep come out and he quoted us several prices for the different services they offered. I went with two of them and I was given a price and I said I want to pay for it in full which I then gave them my credit card. I had asked questions about the contract I was signing because what was on the form and what I was paying for in full was a difference but the way he explained it to me, I was all set. 3 months later I get a bill saying I owe money. I call them up and said I paid for everything up front so they were going to check into it and never heard anything again. A month later I got another letter saying I owed $600 more. I called them up and said I had paid everything up front and they were going to look into it and never heard from them. A third time and a fourth time this happened. Now I'm at collections! I asked to talk to the sales rep who came to my house and he unfortunately is on maternity leave because he had a baby. How convenient that I can't talk to to the person who came to my house and told me what I was getting. They are a scam from what I can see on other posts as well. I've been using the quarterly spray service for some time, and I've never had an issue until now. They've come back multiple times in the past, to take care of things (ants once, and bees last year). However, this time, we have hornets inside our home. A LOT OF THEM. I'm talking hundreds. They came back to spray twice, but then told us they won't come back out because they believe the hornets are in our attic, and the techs aren't allowed in the attic. So they sent us the number of someone else. I called the person, it would be $300 just for that person to come out, not sure what it would have been to actually perform a service. But we were desperate, so I set up an appointment. An hour before, he cancelled, and I havent heard anything back from him. I've never seen anything stating that you're only covered with the quarterly spray service as long as it's not in the attic. So I called Bullseye Pest Defense. They're setting us up for a yearly spray cycle that's $185 cheaper a year than Griffin, and they can access the attic to take care of us. I feel so unbelievably let down by Griffin. We've been in absolute terror in our home. I'm glad we finally have a rescuer! read more

When I contacted the company, they were prompt in returning my call and answering any questions I had. Our service was scheduled within 1 week of my call. The service requested was for a business and we were not coerced in any way to sign a long term contract. Our scheduled time was for between 2 and 4 p.m. The technician arrived at 1:50 and was finished by 2:00. He was professional and did not disturb our business in any way. I have been looking at having someone out to my home for service, and may end up calling Griffin as the other 2 companies I have been trying to work with have been nothing but nightmares. read more

Griffin did end up canceling my contract with no additional payment. They sent me an audio copy of my original phone call in which I clearly did not agree to the contract as they had argued. BEWARE - Griffin records your phone calls! My interactions with Griffin were very unpleasant and the extended disagreement over billing was unnecessary and stressful. read more

Be very wary when doing business with this company. While the technician was nice, the people in the office do try and strong arm you into a contract for way more visits than you need. The woman in the office did not make it clear that they do not do one time visits. Before I knew it, I was was roped into a yearly contract. They were of no help when I called to try and get my money back. Just over and over that they do not do one time visits. I did sign the contract, sadly. But when I called they charged me the full contract amount of $312. A good company with good customer service might have returned part of the money to make a client happy. This is the worst pest solution company . I took off of work to be here for service between 8-10! I called at 8 to remind them that I need interior and exterior service, and they told me that Mitch, my technician, was on the way. I then locked up my two cats in the bathroom in preparation for the appointment. I just got off of the phone with them, after calling, since it had been an hour since he was 'on the way'. Not only was he not on the way, he wasn't coming at all! I took off of work and locked up my cats and he is not coming! They now want me to wait two more hours! They have Saturday appointments but will not give me one! I can't even speak with a supervisor! They will 'call me back' I am LIVID! I'm done with these people. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

I would not use this company. First, they make you take a pest application whether you need it or not. Imagine a technician walking in a foot of snow in the winter to apply exterior bug spray. Ive lived in Michigan for 63 years and don't recall too many bugs being active at that time of year. Second, they got us to sign a contract and then 4 months after it expired they claim we need to have a pest application and pay for it. I cannot say how poorly we were treated by the field supervisor. On March 16 we were his last stop of the day. We were home and the service tech had a supervisor ride along with him. No one showed. I complained to the head office and we were still billed and since I was on auto pay I was also charged. They have a system that is a wand that is a monitor of each bait station and this indicates a technician was at a residence. It was conveniently not working that day. When I saw a paid invoice I was livid. My wife called and they gave her the run around and I had to later call to complain and dispute the charges with our credit card. Was able to get a resolution with the manager and the field supervisor came out and tried to tell me that in Hamilton MI the name of my street was also in another area. He also claimed he went to a house with the same address and street name that was also a Griffin Customer. We did receive treatment, however, I had to take multiple showers from all of the B** S*** from a supposed field supervisor. If you sign up, make sure you are home and check your invoice. You could pay for service that you never received. read more

Would not recommend this company ever. The worst interaction I've ever had with a business. They took advantage of my senior citizen father coaxing him to sign up for a serious of visits after I had approved and only paid for one visit at $107 as gift for him. Then they continued to withdrawal money out of credit card account totally to over $500 without my approval as credit card holder. When I disputed the charges through my credit card company they then sent my bill to a collection agency after previously extracting the money out of my account. I tried to talk to them without any avail. I would not recommend this company to anyone it has been a nightmare and I am considering taking up a lawsuit. read more

First time customer. I spoke with Shayne on the phone. Great customer service! She was very thorough with what I would be paying for and how much it would cost. She also went to great lengths to explain what the technician would be doing out there. This all made me feel better inside. As for the technician, Ulrick Andre, he was awesome. He arrived during his window time slot, he was dressed in uniform. He identified himself, asked me to show him around, listened to what I had to say, then got to work. Due to the home being vacant, he explained what not to do and what to do. They had no problem accepting payment for services for all those years. 1 month ago I found a huge wasp nest in the attic-guess what? - their "customer service" rep Kim H. informed me they don't remove wasp nests. Didn't offer an alternative. I suggested they reimburse me the cost of having another company remove the nest which was flatly rejected. Don't waste your money. Stay away from this company. They will force a contract on you, and then charge you 60% of the full contract services if you cancel at any time. My wife and I in no way, shape, or form, wanted to sign up on a contractual basis - all we wanted was a one-time visit to get rid of some bird mites in our bathroom. After their visit, however - and after we insisted that we did not want any additional services - they claimed that we accepted a one-year contract over the phone, and then sent us a bill ($160) for the services remaining on the contract but not yet performed. We already paid for the one-time visit and thought that was it, but now they are holding us liable for services that were never rendered nor requested, on the basis of a contract that doesn't even exist? We even requested a copy of the contract that we supposedly had signed, only to get the run-around on the phone and then completely ignored via email. My best advice: exercise extreme caution if you decide to do business with this company. read more

Initially Griffin Pest Solutions seemed like a great deal. After talking to multiple friendly employees I was advised to get the Gold Plus, which seemed reasonable (recently moved into a rental on a lake that was vacant for 6 months). After this initial set-up things went down hill. I was bombarded with emails and calls to sign a contract. When signing the contract, I had scheduled an appointment, which they canceled on me. It ended up taking three weeks to get a technician out. When the technician came out he told me there was no need to treat for many of the pests in my gold plus plan, because he did not see any. Now I am stuck with a year contract, for pests that my home will NOT be treated for. After contacting the company and trying to work something out they offered me two options: cancel and pay-out the contract or continue the gold plus service. I was disappointed they did not agree to downgrade my plan to one that would better meet the needs of my home. Overall, I felt the employees were trying to sell me the most expensive plan, while not accurately representing what the contract and service would entail. Would not recommend their service to anyone. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!!! WARNING!!!! Failed to provide proper services for over a year. Refused partial refund because 'It was all my fault for paying my bill and not calling to complain!!!!" No shows, when they did show did not come inside. Lied about showing up. Management said "I wouldn't have paid the bill if I was you the service was that bad" I responded "if I had not paid the bill you would have filed a claim" The next follow up call is when they said it was all my fault because I paid the bill. I had a one year contract with Griffin. While they were under contract there were no issues. After the contract expired I called them to let them know I was not going to renew the contract and that their services were no longer needed. The woman on the other end of the phone acknowledged that I did not want their services anymore. A few weeks later one of their technicians pulled in my driveway, ran from his car to the house, dropped one bait station at the corner of the house, ran back to the car, and left. He was on my property for less than two minutes. A few days later I received a hefty bill for a gold level treatment. I called Griffin again. This time the woman on the other end of the phone was very unpleasant. She told me that since I didn't contact them in writing that they had a legal right to keep billing me. I tried to explain that the technician had not performed a gold level treatment. He didn't attempt to contact me or nock on the door to do anything on the inside of the house, check any of the existing outdoor bait stations, spray the perimeter of the house or garage, etc. She didn't care what I said. She just kept saying "It doesn't matter. You have to pay the bill. We can keep billing you." It was clear that they were just trying to ding me for another hefty charge. I contacted the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department and filed a fraud complaint. I also contacted Griffin in writing to cancel all services and copied the Sheriff's Department. Finally, the Sheriff's Department contacted Griffin on my behalf just to make sure there wouldn't be any future misunderstandings. read more

I've had Griffin for three years and this is the first issue I've had with them. I have a contract and they came to treat the exterior of my home and check bate stations. Four days later a very large spider came from under my siding to say hello, walking around they had left both my gates unlatched and old bate laying beside a bate station. My report from Griffin stated bate stations were fine and no replacement of bate needed. Upon contacting Griffin asking if my home was even treated, if bate stations were okay why the old bate was left for a dog to eat and questioned if stations were refilled. No response about treatment, stations or gates. Was told if dog ate the bate "it wouldn't hurt them too much". I responded with "if the dog had eaten it, causing diarrhea or vomiting ending with a vet visit would they pay the bill and clean my home?" Office person said she'd contact the technicians manager and have them contact me. Never heard from them. Only received a Robo call scheduling another visit. Are they under new management?? Attempted to locate a 'corporate' number but all my searches refer to Stadium Dr office. They will schedule ALL appointments when I'm present from here on. read more

We had Griffin Pest Solutions for many years and they did a wonderful job until about a year ago. At that point we noticed that our service had gone way down hill. Three times in a row when we were supposed to have service, they did not show up, or they showed up and did not fill our mouse houses with bait. Our garage filled with mice again thanks to the lack of service from Griffin. This month was the last straw. We noticed that we had mouse droppings again in the garage. We called Griffin to come because we were under contract with them. We told them that the problem was in the garage. They came and left us a tag saying that all the traps were baited. When I checked the traps later that day, they were empty! I can't imagine that 6 bait traps were totally consumed with in a few hours. Needless to say, we called to cancel our contract. When we called, they just said OK. Never asked why or what the problem was. Sounds like they don't need customers or want to service the ones they have. read more
