I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this business.

If I have a vehicle problem and they do that kind of work, I take it to them first. They are always kind, quick, and reasonably priced. And if the first fix doesn't quite fix the problem, they will take the vehicle right back in and find the final problem and I haven't been charged after the initial fix if no more parts are needed. My car has needed extensive service lately. I came in - paid $550.00 for repairs. I was told my car had a busted tire and I needed 4 new tires. I took my car to Mahones and they pulled each tire. There is nothing wrong with any of my tires. Thanks for nothing. I will not be back... I'm a women, guess that was what the problem was. They think women are stupid. read more

I was new in town with a reoccurring problem with my car. I had tried several places, but none of them were tenacious about fixing it. The people at Griff's pride themselves on fixing a problem the first time you bring your car in, so it was a big deal that my car continued to experience the same problem. Matt, the owner spent quite a bit of time taking with me about it and as a last resort, he installed a genuine Mazda part and bingo - that fixed the problem. He only charged for service one time regardless that I took the car back several times, and only charged for one part though it was the third part that finally resolved the problem. They use Bosch parts which I know are good, but sometimes you have to use the dealer part. In the two years since, I make a point of taking my car to Griff's because I'm not afraid of getting the run around because I'm a women and because I trust their expertise. David, the manager is always courteous no matter how busy they are and I feel that they do a thorough job any time they work on my car. I feel that my business is appreciated, and I can't say that about many other car repair shops. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I absolutely do not recommend this place. We took our car to get a new head gasket put on and he said it would be $700 which is fine. Got the car back TWO WEEKS later and the bill was $1200! Said he replaced the gasket along with timing belt, thermostat and fuel sensor, all without our permission (the timing belt was only 9mo old and did not need replaced to begin with). We had the car less than 24hrs and had to have it towed back, it was clunking loudly and stalling out. Turns out he destroyed our motor by not replacing the head correctly and wanted us to pay another $1200 to replace the engine! Needles to say we took it elsewhere where they told us Griff is definitely who messed it up. We called him to explain the situation but he is refusing to give our money back (even though he gave us a 90 day warranty). We are now looking for a lawyer as well as a new car. DO NOT give this man your business! He will do half job repairs and charge you ridiculous amounts for slow, sloppy work. read more
