It was my sixth time donating. Everything was great. They put me on a needle and then all the sudden they pulled me off and try to say that I dropped a Suboxone in the facility, absolutely false it never happened. I didn't do that. I don't do drugs. They refuse to communicate with me.They wont return my phone calls or emails Shame on CSL Plasma for falsely accusing somebody who does not do drugs of being high.

However, several aspects of the experience left me feeling that the donor experience could be more attentive. After being called back, I waited approximately 15 minutes before anyone started my donation. Once the donation was complete, I waited several more minutes before being disconnected. Customer across from me even asked why had I not been disconnected yet. Staff kept walking by and finally someone said they would unhook me and proceeded to tell me someone saw me and wasn't doing their job. I understand that centers can get busy, but a brief explanation or update would have made a big difference. It can leave a donor wondering whether they've been forgotten. During the donation itself, no one checked on me to see how I was feeling. Even a simple "How are you doing?" or "Are you feeling okay?" would have helped me feel more cared for and reassured that staff were attentive throughout the process. This was my first donation. I also didn't feel the music being played was appropriate for a medical setting. I realize music preferences are subjective, but I was hoping for a more clinical atmosphere that would help donors feel relaxed during the procedure. Overall, my impression was that their was a lack of efficiency, and the experience lacked the level of attentiveness and clinical atmosphere I expected. With a little more communication and periodic check-ins with donors, I believe the overall experience could be significantly improved.

It goes relatively quickly if you do some of the stuff online first when you arrive you will do your health questions and do your check in and then stand in line, I would have to say my only complaint is the lack of seats. For those of us that are older, and have arthritis standing for an hour or so, can really be traumatic on one's knees. I mentioned this before, but no one really had a reason why they don't have chairs. I do think that the phlebotomist and the front and people are pretty nice and caring and also are trained pretty well because sometimes I have gotten people who stick me and don't do well. At this location I haven't had that issue at all. They definitely check back with you. They're open to you asking questions , overall so far it has been a really good experience. One additional thing to note is that they have newer machines, so the actual process goes very quickly. Once you get connected I spend no more than 30 minutes there.

They waited for 20 minutes until there were 6 people in line. I give plasma around my full time job and other commitments. This center treats everyone as if they are homeless and irritating. They've taken out all chairs, hidden the line behind a wall so the donor is unable to gage time commitment, and yell at people for leaning. It's as if we are livestock, not people with feelings that work hard and don't have hours to waste standing at attention to be barked at. Without donors CSL wouldn't have a product. A product that they pay pennies for and charge thousands. I've brought 2 people to donate at this facility and because they were treated as though "they should just know how to do it" neither returned. Staff will not cue donors only roll their eyes and grumble. I've been coming here off and on for years. This seems to only apply to front office staff as the phlebotomist seem to have a work ethic. I was going to another branded center but this location is more convenient. I had forgotten how little location or timing matters here. It's ALWAYS a cattle style experience. Shame on all the reception techs and front office for being so unconcerned with your customer.

I even looked up my medication before going and this medication should NOT have disqualified me. So has to be a company thing or the interviewer is being prejudiced. Which is it? To protect my privacy I will not say what medication it is. But you (CSL) need to be more transparent and add this medication to your list. I should not have had to go thru all this crap then be turned away. I could have walked out the door after answering the kiosk questions. The only reason I chose to donate was I'm in a desperate situation and needed the money. Plus I would be doing a service for my community. Now I can't donate anywhere thanks to CSL!! I should receive some compensation. I think I'll call my lawyer and ask about this.

"it was 4:45, I am sorry I am a little late because of traffic and an accident but I did call and no one answered". Both employees continued working. I stood there thinking, okay no big deal. A few minutes later the older woman snippily says, "I said I'll be right up". I said," okay, no problem" but since she was clearly annoyed I sat at a chair. A third lady came up to intake me and the older woman says,"Nope, reschedule". I am appaulled at how rude they were. I was FUMING and really had to try hard to keep my cool. I am a human, so you can use full sentences when talking to me and treat me like it. I have AB positive blood by the way so I am a universal plasma donor.

A young short blonde haired lady attempted to put the needle in my arm, but missed and proceeded to try and poke around with the needle inside me to hit the vein. Doing so, she left scarring, bruising and swelling and walked off with an attitude asking someone for assistance to apply a separate needle inside my other arm. The Second young Lady was great. Nice, quick & professional. Be careful on who you allow to put a needle inside your arm. I'm glad my situation didn't turn out worse than it is.

I kept hearing my co worker talking about how her daughter's life was saved by a blood transfusion. She donates regularly for this very reason. I usually don't pick up when they call but this time I did and I booked my appointment on the spot. Everyone was very nice and patient with me. There was several signs with testimonials about how they were saved or their child was saved. So I knew I was doing the right thing. I won't lie and say it didn't hurt cause it did. But it was worth it if I am able to save a life. Did I mention the snack bar?? After your donation you are advised to sit and eat a snack before you leave. Consider donating......it can save a life.
