We have been eating veggies we never tried before and exploring new recipes. They are extremely reliable in delivering the veggies to a convenient pick-up point with flexible hours. We get an email to tell us about each week's harvest. The email includes a recipe for one of the veggies featured that week. If I forget to pick up our veggies, the family hosting the pick-up calls to remind me. I also appreciate that this CSA offers discounted plans for those who can't afford full price, and lets us donate our veggies if we are out of town one week.

We get a standard share, which allows us to pick out around 8 vegetables per week. It is a generous amount of veggies for a very reasonable cost! It addition, people who pick up the shares at the farm are able to pick flowers, additional veggies (like cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, beans, edamame), strawberries in season, and fresh herbs. All the good is incredibly delicious! I am sad every year when the season is over and I have to go back to store bought vegetables. There is also a fall and winter share available with storage crops and later growing vegetables. Wendy and Asher are kind and flexible, and they work hard to make the farm a welcoming place for the community. I can't recommend Common Thread highly enough!

I love Wickham farms!…read more I've been going here for 4 years and I feel like every year it gets busier (so that does definitely have a downside as the farm and parking lot get full), and they add more cute little things around the farm as well as more events. You're not allowed to bring any food or drinks in, but they now have enough food options that I think most could find something that works for them. The hot foods like burgers are pretty basic and remind me of school lunches, so they're a bit overpriced for what they are. The apple cider shakeups are the best though, and they also have great apple cider donuts and slushy. Highly recommend. Tickets are pretty expensive. If you're an adult without kids, it might be worth it to buy the full ticket pass (for apple picking and the fun farm area) once if you want to check it out, but in general I recommend buying the apple picking ticket only. You get to pick a bag of apples, take some cute pics in some of the areas set up for that purpose, and check out the pumpkins and the store, where you can buy the apple shakeup and donut. In the summer they also have flower picking events and the sunflower spectacular tickets which have also been a great time!

However, I bit the bullet and found the value($23.95 for barnyard tickets and $28.95 including apple picking) to be worthwhile as well as the selection of activities for all ages to be enjoyable. To every member of the staff that we approached, they were all very kind and informative. We got to enjoy the apple cider donuts, apple cider, pumpkin smash, and the ride to the apple orchards. We were surprised to see an event where they drop a large pumpkin high above ground, but it was very cool to watch (and wondered if this was because this was their last weekend of opening!)
