We came on a Tuesday around 7pm and it was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. Their service was fantastic throughout our dining experience. The staff were very attentive and hospitable. On Tuesdays, they have a Mix & Match 3 tacos deal for $11.99. You can mix both flour or corn tortilla tacos, but it doesn't include the Birria tacos. I ended up trying the shrimp tacos on flour tortilla, ribeye taco on corn, and al pastor on corn. I also tried a bite of the carne asada on flour taco from my sister. I would highly recommend the al pastor taco. It's juicy (comes with pineapple sticks) and the flavor is fantastic. The shrimp was also good but it's on the heavier side bc they add cheese. The ribeye was my least favorite and although the flavor is good, it's pretty dry without much sauce. If you want steak, I would go for the carne asada instead (they add guac) Overall, fantastic restaurant and a great deal for tacos on Tuesdays. My favorite part is the complimentary chips and salsa. Stopped by La Victoria for lunch as I've been on the hunt for good Mexican food since moving to NC and this place did not disappoint. When you arrive there is plenty of parking around the restaurant. Walking in you'll feel like you've been transported to a trendy, upscale, and casual comfort atmosphere. For appetizers we ordered the dip sampler which had the queso, guacamole, and bean dip. By far my favorite dip was the queso. For my entree I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the shrimp was a little overcooked but tasty. Also, the flour tortillas tasted like they were made in house. This is probably some of the closer Mexican food I'm use to in Texas. When we arrived, we were immediately seated by really friendly staff member. The waiter came and gave us her waters and our menus and gave us some time to look over the menu. The set up is really nice and we had a backdrop of the large mural in the back. I asked him what were the nonalcoholic drinks and he gave me a list of fountain drinks plus the option of a daiquiri. They had mango, strawberry, and lime, and I asked him to mix all of them. It was a great treat and did not disappoint. For my entrée, I had the bowl with the trio which was steak, chicken, and shrimp. It was magnificent! This is, by far, the best Mexican food I've had in the triangle. They have a varied menu with items I haven't seen in other Mexican restaurant. I've never seen tortas offered anywhere else. This weekend we really just wanted to try something different. You know, see what else is out there. We found and ended up at La Victoria in the Renaissance Park Place area of Cary. First impressions? Very visually appealing place. Inviting, well decorated, even with the AC apparently out of commission. A few fans were running to keep the air moving. The servers were kind, present, though the attentiveness varied from table to table. We ordered tacos and an enchilada. Really good flavors with both, though the portions were smaller than expected (and what we're used to). We had a margarita and a beer alongside the meal, both were good. The chips and salsa are always a hit, though the portion of salsa was surprisingly small (we actually needed a refill before even finishing the first basket of chips). Walked in right at dinner time and had no wait. Our server was friendly and ensured we had no questions about the menu. The food was fantastic. However, there was a major fly problem. I'm not sure if they were attracted by the steam from the fajitas or what, but tens of flies swarmed our entire table when we got our food, which was very off putting. This was my first time at La Victoria. I had an early dinner with a friend of mine and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant. When you first walk in your greeted with an amazing ambiance and bohemian aesthetics. I had a dinner reservation so we were seated quickly. It was pretty busy for a Friday. I ordered the birria quesadilla and an elote (corn on the cob). Both were extremely flavorful and the birria was cooked to perfection. It was so tender it just melted with every bite. My friend ordered the enchiladas chipotle which came with rice and pico salad, which was also delicious. The chicken was really good and was complimented well by the chipotle sauce. Although we elected to sit outside, the decor of the interior of the restaurant is eclectic and interesting, thankfully void of the typical campy-Mexican themed decor you so often see in restaurants. The menu offerings were also elevated as compared to typical Mexican fare. I enjoyed the plantain rellenos with chicken, and the combo of savory and sweet was just lovely. Not to mention, it was served on top of black beans and rice, both of which were very nicely flavored - not just starchy filler. My son had the Smoky Asada tacos with steak and he loved them. This was a good place to come until my most recent to go experience. I ordered nachos and something else . When I was headed there my phone died but realized I no longer wanted what it was because I lost my card and the card I had with me only had enough for one of the things. I would've called and canceled it had my phone not have died. When I get there I ask to take off the one order and just keep the nachos on. She looked at me annoyed and said it's already made and started asking the girl next to her about it . They both said it was already made and tried to make me pay for both which I not only didn't have the money for but I wasn't even going to eat it . What a great find in Cary! I was attending a work conference at the Embassy Suites up the road and a quick Google search led us here for dinner. So glad it did! It's tucked away in a little shopping center with apartments. The ambience is so cute and fun, indoors and outdoors on the patio. The decor is very colorful with a beautiful mural on the wall. We got some Guac for the table which was fresh and tasty. My friend and I ordered a Mexican Old Fashioned and we loved them. Very unique! My other friend got a Piña Colada, and also enjoyed it. For our mains, I ordered the Birria tacos which were great! They're a little pricey ($18) but come with rice and beans and the tacos are a decent size with a good amount of meat. Other items the table ordered: Enchiladas and Platano Relleno. No complaints! The Platano Relleno looked divine! I want to go back just to order it myself! The chips were fantastic lol. The birria quesadilla was well executed but lacked that burst of flavor you expect. The pineapple fajitas were creative and looked great - but mostly chicken inside with very little beef, shrimp or bacon and the 3 tiny corn tortillas that come with it aren't nearly enough. I'm pretty understanding of the servers being short staffed but I thought the waitress could have been more attentive. I don't think someone should wait over 10 minutes for a waitress to come take your order. Now to the food! We got a chori dip for an appetizer. It was really good. I got the carne asada tacos for my meal and the steak is very tasty. My husband got the trio fajita and he said the meat was a little over cooked. He has had the chicken tacos before and said they were good so I think overall their good is good. I came for lunch on a weekday and ordered some tacos: Carne Asada Tacos and Birria Con Mole Tacos. Both were good, packed with flavors and topped with a decent amount of meat and toppings. The chips and salsa that came with the meal were also quite tasty. The service was prompt and friendly, the space is clean, and there is a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be a bit tricky since the restaurant is in a shopping center which can get busy during meal times. I've visited La Victoria twice now. Each time the food was quite good. I ordered Catne Asada Tacos and sweet tea on this visit. Service was quick, I was seated and the server brought over chips and salsa. The chips tasted homemade and not store bought. The kitchen may have been backed up because it took 30 minutes for the tqcos tocime out. The only thing I don't like at La Victoria are the bar chairs. Cute though they are, they are the most difficult to get onto and most uncomfortable chairs...not to mention, they are not high enough for patrons to be able to comfortably sit and eat at the bar. read more

Apparently the truck didn't come in that has the seasonings. There's absolutely positively no seasoning on this meat. Absolutely not. It might not be a everyday occurrence but I sure have caught them lacking today. The shrimp tastes like water or maybe oxygen. Lol. Great value shrimp!!! If you're going to do a very low quality shrimp how about marinated in water with actual shrimp. Or put some kind of marination or twist on it but just don't serve it right out the bag like that. I thought the steak was tender though. We sent back two drinks. I overheard and waitress saying that the margarita machine wasn't working well, if that be the case then stop serving until you get that fixed. No?? Finally settled with the drink called on The rocks I believe. All the drinks have a little ice cube in them, kind of cute. I could not stop looking at this woman painted on the wall. Her eyes were telling such a story. And she was beautiful. My opinion. Her necklace has a beautiful red charm on one of the pieces or so it looks. After closer look the charm is actually the fire alarm. Lol. Kind of genius. The dip trio was decent the cheese sauce was running, the guacamole was basic, and the Chipotle that taste like pork and beans juice and cheese. Lol. I had the shrimp tacos kind of sweet but the shrimp wasn't that good. The chicken rolls in my opinion were excellent. Those are the best things and those were appetizers. My daughter had the chicken bowl. It's pretty base. This place is not that big. But it has a very nice scenery for the spacing. It was all a basic experience with southpark food in my opinion. My wife was like, "we don't need the dip, I'm gonna get full on chips..." And then proceeded to be amazed at how great the bean dip was the next 20 minutes! Yes, amazing flavors, amazing presentation, seems very upscale Mexican cuisine for reasonable regular prices. Loved the ambience, even for a quick lunch; we'll have to get a baby sitter and come back for dinner! So was in the mood for tacos but wanted to try out a new place and came across La Victoria... and man oh man I'm glad I checked it out .. Hidden in the smaller Renaissance Park Place complex where Ko an and Burgerfi is you will find La Victoria .. Place is about 2 months old and found out it's owner is related to the family who created Totopos over on Kildaire in Cary.. La Victoria is owned by Maria who you will find working at the front of the house at La Victoria. She always stops by and checks in on how your meal and experience is ... I sat at the bar and got to talk to Gabriel and Carlos ... and both were cool to talk to and gave great recommendations. So started off with the dip sampler and was not disappointed at all ... the chipotle bean dip was awesome and the freshly made guacamole was the best I've had in the area so far... and to round out the trio was the thick not water queso dip which was very good . The chips here are fresh and also very good .. light and crispy and has a nice flavor to them .. One of the reasons why I picked this place to try was because they had birria tacos and man oh man I was surprised how flavorful and good it was especially the consume which is one of the better ones in the area that I've had ... wish they still offered the lamb version but since local taste buds aren't adventurous enough to have the authentic version they had to take it off the menu :-( But the beef version was good and only can imagine how the trading lamb version wouldve been like.. the fresh corn tortillas that were used for the taco shell was amazing .. definitely not your average tortillas shell. Also had a chance to taste the Mango Chicken Tacos which were served with a chipotle mango sauce and damn was it tasty... the chicken was flavorful and delicious. To round out the meal the guava flan was ordered and damn oh damn was it good... it's not your typical flan that you find anywhere else..
