My friend and I came here on a Sunday morning, maybe around 11 ish, the place was pretty chill and quiet, just another group there at the time. We ordered the biscoff latte (we asked for it to be less sweet), ras malai tres leches, anday wala burger, and chicken paratha roll. I really enjoyed the biscoff latte, i mean biscoff just taste amazing in anything. We also enjoyed the flavors of the burger and the paratha roll, just wished the paratha roll was bigger. I wasn't too crazy about the ras malai tres leches, because it tastes too flowery for my liking.

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon after reading the tiramisu latte reviews. The coffee shop itself is cute, brightly lit and adorned with lovely Pakistani art. I ordered a tiramisu latte iced, pistachio creme latte hot (less sweet) and some samosas. The pistachio creme latte was amazing, would definitely order again. The tiramisu latte reminded me more of a mocha with a cold foam topping and heavy espresso flavor. The Samosas were a bit well done and I'm glad I asked for the chutney (it's given only on request) to cool it off as they were fresh out of the fryer. We liked the samosas so I went back to get another order, and ended up ordering a chicken paratha roll and Karak chai as well. The chicken roll was very greasy and the filling over salted basically rendering it inedible. The chai had a nice color and decent flavor. Will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

This café has been on my radar for a few weeks now, so exciting to have a warm and welcoming space in the heart of little Pakistan. From the outside this place is pretty unassuming, but once you step inside, the layout is roomy and cozy. My friends and I were pretty full from breakfast earlier so we didn't get to try any of their desserts which looked really tempting and amazing in the glass case. I ordered a small iced Matcha with almond milk. Staff was pretty friendly, kind and accommodating. They also had other Halal goodies like Halal, Gummies, salaam, cola, and other stuff. We noticed a carrom board tucked away in the corner and transported it out. It's been years since I've played back in Pakistan. It was honestly so much fun to be here with my friends. I love that they had other games available as well. I think they should add Jenga and Ludo to their collection. It was so nice to just sit here and be in a warm space with other patrons from the community. We definitely need more spaces like this in this neighborhood. My Matcha was well made although I will say it was more on the milkier side. I don't like matcha lattes that have too much milk and not enough Matcha powder. I think the latte could be made a lot stronger, I wouldn't mind if the portion was smaller. The small was a pretty big size. I look forward to returning here and trying their desserts. If you live in this area, definitely stop by for a warm pick me up.

Wonderful coffee place. I am addicted to the pistachio tres leches and the pistachio crème latte. The staff in here are great also. 10/10 from me. I love the decor as well. Must try place for coffee :)

Great addition to Little Pakistan in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Anda wala burger was delicious as well as their rasmalai milk dessert. Friendly customer service & clean establishment.

As I walk in, the friendly lady behind the counter asks me what I would like. I respond: A cappuccino please. Then, I carefully inquire further for what baked goods are available with a smile. In her reply, she tells me sadly that there is only croissants. So not being picky, I tell her: Great, I'll have one. Next, she brings me a cappuccino on a glass saucer and my croissant on a dish. Also, there are numerous napkins, sugar, long stemmed spoon given to me as well. I felt like a sports lounge vibe with many tables and chairs (probably enough to seat 35 people at least). Most demographic would be elders, mostly men, in their 40's to 60's kicking back and enjoying the hot, lazy afternoon. It was around 3 pm and I just got off a flight. Now, I know how the other half lives and it's nice!

I found the service impolite and dismissive. And the coffee pod, yes a COFFEE POD AT A CAFÉ is outrageous. Well aside from me noticing a bit to late to stop the process I watched her make it and seen the liquid coming out beige at best. I actually thought she was running a cleaning of the machine, because the color just wasn't the color even a blond roast would be. I mentioned it looked light, to which she replied it's not light it's black coffee it's dark. Well I took my sip, left a dollar tip and left the coffee on the counter. With the myriad of cafes in Brooklyn these days, I would have been better with mud from the bodega.

I ordered the Journey to Baku salad, the Turkish bread, and the Guru Khingal. The salad needed a pinch of salt, but there was a shaker on the table and with that addition, it was a decent refreshing appetizer. It's sort of a spread so I would recommend ordering some bread to eat with it. The bread came out steaming hot and smelling amazing. It was soft and fluffy on the inside and delicious. I took the extra home and ate it all immediately when I got there. Delicious bread. The Guru Khingal is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten in New York City. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, as I have never eaten this type of food before. The tender, handcut pasta seems to be layered with flavorful lamb fat like the most decadent possible buttered noodles and the ground lamb topping is rich and perfectly seasoned. The yogurt sauce gives the dish balance. It's a fairly large portion that could easily be shared between two. I highly recommend this spot, the glowing reviews are not exaggerating at all. I often like to try new and unusual restaurants, and sometimes I enjoy them mostly for the novelty. That was not the case at Village Cafe. My meal here was delicious and I am eager to return, even with the 75 minute commute from north Brooklyn.

I felt like I was inside someone's home and felt welcomed and comfortable. Not loud and well lit. Service (5/5): We came at an off hour during the weekend around 1:30pm there was still around 6 parties dining in. The staff provided good recommendations and good service. When asked for water without any lemon slices, they provided bottled water at no extra cost! Food: (4/5) - rated New York Times top 100 Best Restaurants in New York City in 2025 Every dish came with a small cup of sour cream / Tzatziki based sauce that went with every dish. This was a must and this was mastered very well. Kutaby with chicken and lamb (4/5) - we ordered one each but the lamb was far superior than the chicken. Guru Hingal (4/5) - served in a warmed bowl with a lid in a bed of soft pasta and minced lamb. The pasta reminded me of chow fun (Chinese rice flat noodles) and then some seasoned minced lamb. While overall there were flavors in there, it was still lacked flavors and required to be drowned in the Tzatziki sauces or perhaps a order of table hot sauce. Finally we got the Lamb Lulya Kebab (5/5): this was by far the best dish of the meal! The meat was so wonderfully seasoned throughout, juicy, and complemented well with the rice, onions, and tomato based dip. The wraps themselves were way too small to enjoy using hands so we definitely reconstructed on our plates and attempts with our hands.

She checked on us multiple times and was just overall very nice. We ordered the Oofte Arberia, small grill plate, afjar condiment, and French fries. Everything was delicious. The French fries, wow. They were so delicious - perfectly crispy and not oily at all. The perfect shape too. I don't even like French fries like that but I couldn't stop eating them. They also have fresh bread that was made in house - that was delicious with the eggplant dip that we ordered (afjar). The grill platters were so delicious. I would recommend the grill platter so you can try different types of meat. But each meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked. We got a house salad with the meat and it was nice and refreshing. Having never tried such delicacies as flija anywhere else before, how could I know if they were being exalted for their own execution or for the dish itself? After trying another interpretation at Arberia, I believe the answer is simply that flija is one of the most delicious savory cakes out there. It's the original Lady M - layers of crepes clearly stacked with copious amounts of butter. I wish the ajvar came with it, but it's worth shelling out a few extra dollars to add a bit of color to the dish.
