Service isn't quick, though I wouldn't call them slow either, and both employees I encountered that Sunday were very nice. They have cups to stay, but none for the food. Probably my preferred coffee spot in The Bay. Nice and bright. The service isn't the quickest, but I like the more causal vibe. If you like flavored coffee you may want less pumps as they can be a bit heavy handed, but still, a nice coffee shop. read more

They are quick and friendly and also making perfect coffee for visitors. They also server breakfast and other sides. They are known to be one of the better coffee spots in the area. They have specialty coffee, pastries, snacks etc. Located at the corner of busy Sheepshead Bay Rd. Not so convenient to go out of my way and drive through doubled parked cars with minimal parking. There's indoor seating, small interior but no restrooms. The customer service definitely impacted the quality of my drink, one of the least friendly and slowest coffee shop I've experienced in awhile. We stopped by for a latte while visiting friends in the area. My latte was beautiful and delicious. It was perfect temperature with nice silky foam. I would definitely come back when in Brooklyn. Definitely DO NOT recommend this place. First, there's no restroom, it's ridiculous for a coffee shop. So basically my idea to stay and work there for a couple of hours failed. The place is also tiny. Wouldn't recommend as a remote work spot. Second, no ceramic cups as shows here on Yelp in the pictures. Only paper cups And on top of everything they sell mold-covered chocolate bars ($4.95 each by the way). They also served my cappuccino in a filthy dirty cup. read more

You cannot find any better coffee in the area other than Orso. Hot Latte with Oat Milk, Turmeric Latte, and Iced Americano with Pellegrino are always my go-to items! Don't go without ordering their chocolate and almond croissant, it's buttery, flakey. It's perfect! Also, their everything croissant is my kind of drug. You'll be craving for more the second you finish your last bite... Is it a little pricey? Yes. But is it worth it? Yes, if you want great coffee! Would I come back? Always. This area does NOT have a coffee scene whatsoever. Orso is like...the only spot if you want coffee that isn't Dunkin' or from a bodega. It's good. Definitely quality. It's slightly expensive but that's as expected. They also have a small fresh pastry selection. read more

Remember when you can order a coffee and say "Light & Sweet"? If you do that today, you'll get strange looks. All I want is espresso that's not from a crappy chain place in Sheepshead Bay, I'm going to Orso Coffee. This is a little slice of Brooklyn heaven. There aren't too many coffee house in the area so Orso is a welcomed relief. I swung in coffee but I hate drinking a latte the first time at any new spot. I asked for a Flat White which is less milk in the morning. Macha? Pul-ease.. Once sip of my Orso coffee and I knew I was into something good. The roast was kinda mellow. Easy like Sunday Morning mellow. I bought a bag of beans to take home, its something I know my wife would enjoy. That Barista with glasses and beard? He was a mellow yellow man! Used to come here so often - and so did my parents supporting local business and coffee shops! I don't know what changed in the past couple months, but the coffee is so weak, consistently. The last 3x we ordered it was not good. We gave up. Ordered iced cappucino today and it should be labeled "iced milk". The espresso is not strong here at all. Will not be coming back. I went here because after a stroll along Manhattan Beach on an unseasonable warm day I could use a cup of coffee. We looked up best cups of coffee in the area, and sure enough found orso. We both had cortados with oatmilk, and those hit the spit. The vibe of the cafe is a perfect minimalist, crisp, atmosphere. The café is cute but there's not that much seating. However, the coffee was delicious and so was a cheese danish. The two workers at the front were also very nice. I got both regular latte and a decaf latte and a decaf latte didn't taste like milk like most places. I definitely would go again. Boycott Starbucks. read more

This is a cool spot to get some coffee and pastries like this pair Danish below. I think it's one of the very few coffee houses in the Sheepshead Bay area, so it's a welcomed venue. However, they need to be mindful of the music they play because there were a couple rap songs that had profanity and that's not family-friendly. Although they have Wi-Fi, note that they don't have a public restroom. That's important notes in his coffee is known to be a diuretic. I found this place few month ago, I started work here near by and OMG first cup of coffee was amazing here, my only one and favorite is Mocha iced coffee. BUT every time when I started to come back taste was always different and the quality was worse and worse. The last time was today and I'm not planning to come back anymore, I got enough. I paid 8$ for large cup and what I got? I got milk and half/half with ice. Literally, no mocha, no coffee. People who work here have no idea how disgusting their creatures is. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. When there is a disgusting Dunkin' Donuts on what seems like every corner, it's nice to be able to have some decent coffee in sheepshead bay. Small corner coffee shop right off the main road. Very well lit and with plenty of room. Seems like a nice place to get some work done if you want to bring the laptop. I'm not exactly a coffee aficionado but I can tell the coffee is good quality. Prices are in line with a hipster coffee place or a Starbucks; it's definitely not cheap. Cool new coffee shop and much needed addition to the neighborhood. I stopped by over the weekend and had an almond milk latte. It was smooth and almond milk was perfectly frothy with a cool design to boot! Hubby had a espresso which was rich and strong the way he likes it. We came a little late in the day and they were sold out of a bunch of their pastries so we ended up having a salted buckwheat cookie. Very interesting taste but a little dry. Looks like they have a nice selection of vegan and gluten free offerings and I will surely be back to sample all of them. Besides the excellent coffee the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I can see myself coming here to meet a friend or just hang out and do some work on my laptop. Finally a specialty coffee shop opened up and it's definitely worth going to. I had a hazelnut latte (organic syrup!) and it wasn't overly sweet like Starbucks. $4.63 for a 12oz is typical for a medium so it's not expensive at all. The shop is also situated perfectly; every seat is a good seat. I sat facing the sun at the window but it wasn't blinding as I could still see on my laptop. Pretty good music choices as well (Miguel radio? Yes please). Shout out to the barista that served customers lemon water at our seats and another barista who was enthusiastic about giving me the WiFi. Great service! read more

I grew up in South Brooklyn and have always been in search of a quality coffee shop. This is the first coffee shop in Sheepshead bay that I could call a real coffee shop and send my friends to. They serve ForFive beans, a micro roaster based out of queens. The espressos are on point!!! The attention to detail is impressive. From the wall art to the home made tables, the owners gave a lot of thought to the design. My go to drink is an iced almond latte and Orso never fails to deliver. It's smooth, full and soft to the tongue. The price is very fair for the quality and awesome service! I very much recommend it! Will definitely be back! read more

I do recall having bad experience here, forgot I already gave it a 1 star but HERE I am again. So recently in the past month I've been coming in here 2-3 times a week. It's a hit or miss. I get an OAT MILK LATTE every time and a few times it was regular milk. They are extremely slow (waited 17 minutes before because the barista was talking to staff about a vacation and there were only 3 people ahead of me but whatever) Today I walked in and again; asked for a OatMilkLatte....... the woman behind the counter asks me "is regular milk fine"...... I repeated OAT MILK. She proceeded to catch an attitude with me "yes I heard you that's why I asked" And then the woman behind her has the audacity to tell me "it's hard for us to hear cause it's loud" Hmmm maybe you should lower the music? Anyhow... I seriously seriously am not going back to this place. Arbuz has better lattes anyway, and better customer service. Sorry orso, I really tried to like you guys. He should get fired as he literally asked me & my friends to leave for no reason today. We ordered four lattes and moved one chair but he came over and said: "you are blocking clients with strollers so either move the chair back or leave. These are the rules of our company". Great coffee, great vibes, great barista, pretty pricey coffee when you get iced. I really enjoy Orso. It is my go to go all espresso type coffee and cold brews in the lower BK area (bensonhurst and below.) The only issue I have with Orso is the 6.75 for a large ice latte. The coffee is great but idk if it is 6.75 great. I find it a bit pricey for what it is personally so I would stick with the started iced latte rather than the large but even the standard is $6.25 on their menu. But aside from that great coffee, highly recommend. The price is actually reasonable for all sizes but the large iced. read more
