Just had the best iced pumpkin latte I have ever had! This is only my second time here, but each time my espresso beverage was fantastic. Their pumpkin latte is made with real pumpkin purée, not just some spices and artificial flavoring. It really tasted like a pumpkin pie! I also had a sandwich (the smashwich(omelette)), on multigrain bread, it was very filling. The first time I came here I had the iced campfire latte, which was so cute with the little marshmallows on top. Downside is that it is pricey, but I appreciate that they use actual pumpkin for the pumpkin lattes, and real chocolate for the hot cocoas and chocolate beverages. Employees are super nice and the owner's good friend hangouts there fairly often spreading good vibes throughout the café. read more

Nestled in this orthodox neighborhood is this little gem of a coffee shop called Milk Crate. It's stellar reviews are mainly due to the owner and baristas serving up wonderful cups of coffee with a kindness that's so needed in these times. I ordered my Mocha Latte up front and decided to look around the small shop as I'm waiting for my drink. Wall was plastered with post-it notes of customers "paying it forward" to people that's in need. Felt it was a great gesture the shop is doing for it's community and should give praise to. I requested latte art on my drink and the barista delivered (kuddos to my cup of art!). The drink itself was a bit on the milky side, I liked it. Price is average in this neighborhood. read more

Made my day! It was early, cold and I needed coffee - slipped in a few minutes before they even opened - they graciously served me a hot, good cup of coffee. Hit the spot. Got hungry, and was enticed by the look of an everything croissant that they had filled with a layer of jalapeño cream cheese. A little Paris, a little Mexico, but only in NYC. Stayed there for a few hours and saw the place fill up. What really warmed me up was how happy everyone seemed to be there. I hope to be back in the neighborhood soon! read more

It's a really cute little coffee shop that's always packed. It's in Borough Park so there are tons of Hassidic Jews. The place is kosher and keeps Shabbat hours. It's very yuppie and the coffee is amazing. I like sweet lattes & so far they haven't disappointed. It's like a better Starbucks. Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts overcook their beans and their coffee tastes burnt, so you have to add flavors to cover up the burnt coffee taste . I'm very happy I found this place. Great quality. They're not cheap but I feel like it's worth it. A large, white chocolate latte is $7.50. read more

What a lovely gem ! This place is always busy and for good reason, the service and food is amazing! I love their lemon ginger tea, its my favorite! Their breakfast egg sandwiches are also to die for ! The bread is always fresh, soft, and toasted to perfection. They use boiled eggs which is unique and delicious! Walking somewhere on the border of predominately Asian and predominately jewish Brooklyn, I stumbled upon an interesting and maybe important melting pot location. An orthodox bourgeoise coffee shop. Other than being pretty cramped, it was a good iced latte beverage and it was interesting seeing 80 % of the clientele being orthodox Jewish, lined up like yuppies for their coffee. It actually wasn't too bad on price (pricey coffee Brooklyn is still better than pricey coffee Manhattan). read more

This coffee shop is a hidden gem. Walking in you are met with a cool, hip designed space, it's welcoming and a very warm environment. The coffee is delicious and the Gluten Free pastries are Delicious. Every time I stop by the Barista would recommend a new drink from the menu. Because the decor is beautiful, coffee tastes amazing and a good food variety I say that this is a spot you should definitely check out and I'm sure you will return again and make it a regular spot. read more

This was a small, but nice cafe with really nice workers. The coffee that I ordered was also amazing. I sadly forgot the breakfast that I got here but I guarantee that it was good (as their whole menu is good, in my opinion). Really good pastry choices as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find the charming, retro style cafe this morning when continuing my search for good coffee in this neighborhood. The latte with almond milk was excellent as was my egg sandwich. The service was friendly and the seating much appreciated. There were also beautiful bread loaves for sale. We travel to different states for work and my favorite all day drink is coffee. The lattes here are amazing. I get sugar free Carmel and sugar free cinnamon crumb. Both amazing and no aftertaste. My daughter actually drank her entire drinks here. She waste Starbucks , Dunkin and other small chain coffee companies drinks. Her favorite was the iced truffle. It's crowded but you will not be disappointed. Everyone is really nice too! I'm truly going to miss not being able to go here. read more

The food was nice but my cookie was stuffed with another item in the same bag and broke into many pieces. I had to pour it out of the bag and it was disappointing since I was looking forward to it. The sandwich was supposed to have hashbrown but it was potato chunks instead. However, the drink was nicely wrapped to prevent spillage. read more

Since living in boro Park less then a year I discovered Milk Crate while walking around getting to know the area. I am from East village of Manhattan for past 20 years. The vibe here is like going to a bistro or chill cafe. The decor from the retro color scheme to the exposed brick walls and the wonderful background of french bistro music and cozy tables is perfect. This is my favorite place to eat, hang and work my business from my laptop all while having amazing Americanos and wonderful sandwiches or breakfasts and amazing artisan Fork and Bowl Kosher Salads. Their homemade pastries and croissants are buttery, sweet, savory and hits the spot. The staff know you by name, remember your coffee right when you walk in and always greet you with a smile and a bubbly personality. They have a very clean establishment, gloves and masks are worn by all staff and they make sure all customers are wearing masks when they come in to get food or coffee. I will say that some customers are not always willing to comply even though they say something. You will love everything Milk Crate had to offer. read more
