I called Monmouth Iride a few days prior to our pickup to ask when we would be charged for the $300.00. I was told that we would be charged $150.00 after the pickup from our.home and the remaining $150.00 after we returned from our trip and were picked up at the airport. We were charged $300.00 immediately after our trip to the airport instead of what we were told would be split up to $150.00 after our pickup to the airport. I didn't call Monmouth Iride to ask why they charged me the full amount of their quote. I knew we wiuld be be picked up from the airport in a week from Monmouth Iride and still owe for the remaining $150.00. We returned from our trip and were picked up by a driver from Monmouth Iride and taken home. I was then charged another $300.00 from Monmouth Iride. I called Monmouth Iride and explained that I was charged double, a total of $600.00 to go from Monmouth County NJ to JFK airport and the back to our home. Monmouth Iride owner became nasty and arrogantsaying I was told that the cost was $$600.00 for round-trip from Monmouth County to JFK airport. He's wrong! I WAS CLEARLY RIPPED OFF BY MONMOUTH IRIDE. The booking process started when I sent a personal text to its owner, Bill. I had many questions about the ride and pricing and he responded to me promptly in text replies and then referred me to booking with his wife, Linda. Linda was also a joy to deal with as she also was readily available via text when I had questions. She also made a point of keeping me updated on the pickups from my home and airport, providing me with a confirmation of the addresses and the name of the driver assigned to us. We were very fortunate to be assigned Phil as our driver, who we absolutely loved. He arrived early and was extremely professional and personable. My girlfriend and I were flying to California, and being someone familiar with the area we were visiting, Phil provided us with a wealth of information. We had some really nice conversations on our rides to and from the airport. We couldn't have asked for a better driver. Thank you, Phil, for making our ride so enjoyable. We miss you! I called them Sunday morning to reserve a pick-up time of 4:00am the next day. After providing the necessary information (i.e. home address, phone number, and drop-off location) to the receptionist, I felt confident that I would not run into any issues the following morning. However, the next morning after waiting 10 minutes past my pick-up time, I decided to give them a call to find out the status of my driver. Fortunately someone picked up and told me that they would find out and give me an update. Another 10 minutes pass before I receive a call from the driver who explained that he had trouble finding the apartment and that he was only a couple minutes away. So after 5 minutes of staring out my window I see the driver pull up a couple doors down from my apartment. I head outside and as I walk towards the car, the driver drives away (probably wondering if he is in the correct location) and I am left in the dark wondering what happened. So I get on my phone and call the driver back. At this point I was very upset and worried that I would not get to the airport in time for my 6:00am flight. As I step in the car I keep my cool and inform the driver that I need to get to the airport ASAP. When we arrive at the airport the driver drops me off at the wrong departure level (i.e. Level 3) and I am forced to run to the TSA checkpoint at Level 2, which at this point is filled with passengers. By the time I get through security I hear my name being called for final boarding and I sprint to the gate. I eventually make it on the plane in time for my departure, but the experience left me very bitter towards Advanced Transportation. I wish the first impression with them was better, but unfortunately I do not plan on using them in the future.
