When considering a car service you have to put considerable faith into whether the choice you pick is going to be reliable. After all, the last thing you need is your driver not showing up on time or not at all when your big vacation day arrives. I have been using some of the bigger-named services over the years but was so surprised as to how expensive they have become since the pandemic. For that reason, I had to shop around for someone cheaper, and in doing so, was faced with whether I would find the same quality service. As you may be doing right now, I poured over reviews of several Monmouth County car services companies and found that Sperling had a consistent 5-star rating from riders. I must say, I have been extremely impressed with my overall experience with Sperling from booking to the ride. So much so, that I plan to use them exclusively moving forward. Let me explain... The booking process started when I sent a personal text to its owner, Bill. I had many questions about the ride and pricing and he responded to me promptly in text replies and then referred me to booking with his wife, Linda. Linda was also a joy to deal with as she also was readily available via text when I had questions. She also made a point of keeping me updated on the pickups from my home and airport, providing me with a confirmation of the addresses and the name of the driver assigned to us. We were very fortunate to be assigned Phil as our driver, who we absolutely loved. He arrived early and was extremely professional and personable. My girlfriend and I were flying to California, and being someone familiar with the area we were visiting, Phil provided us with a wealth of information. We had some really nice conversations on our rides to and from the airport. We couldn't have asked for a better driver. Thank you, Phil, for making our ride so enjoyable. We miss you! Suffice to say, we are extremely pleased with Sperling Car Service. There's a reason this company has a consistent 5-star review rating and that is they put emphasis on customer satisfaction. I was also pleased with their pricing and the fact that they include the gratuity into the final quote so I am not fumbling around at the end of the drive to give the driver a tip. I had a bad discriminatory experience. I made a reservation in the morning, spoke to Linda. I repeated my email 3 times and after 5 minutes she called me back to say it was wrong. I patiently repeated again and said: " pay attention to this part (the part she was getting wrong) because it's tricky". She responded " I'm paying attention". Few hours later my trip was canceled and I called to cancel the shuttle service. Linda didn't answer I left a message. since nobody called me back I called again, Bill answer. when I asked to cancel, Bill said: I figured you d'cancel! I asked why, he said because the way I talked to Linda! How did I talk to Linda I asked and he hung up on my face. He probably noticed my foreign accent, and discriminated against me. i will never use these people. read more

My usual airport car service closed shop a few years ago, Haven't been happy with others I tried. Decided to give Sperling a call. Seems to be a Mom-pop run business. Incredibly easy to communicate with, both online & via text/phone. After booking, and 24-48 hrs before pickup, they send you a text with the driver's photo & cellphone #. Very professional. Best of all, competitive "all inclusive" rates ; don't have to figure gratuity, taxes......don't even have to carry cash, since I used a CC to book. Would DEFINITELY use them again! read more

Choose Sperling due to their prompt response for a quote, very reasonable, their personal attention to make confirmation contact with me and it appeared to be a local family operation. Communication via text msg works out perfect, ease of use was a plus. Phil the driver arrived promptly, car was immaculately clean and a very comfortable ride. I recently needed a round trip transport from Asbury Park to Woodbridge, NJ for an important business appointment. When I called Sperling Car Service to book my trip, I had the good pleasure of speaking with Linda Sperling, one of the owners along with her husband Bill Sperling. She was delightful and very accommodating and made the entire booking process quite effortless. I immediately received a detailed email confirmation of the booking, and as the date approached I received both text and email reminders of all the specifics. Moreover, I was sent a text about who my driver would be along with his photograph. It turned out that I was lucky enough to be driven by none other than one of the owners himself, Bill Sperling. He was extremely punctual, (in fact he came a little early which was nice and allowed me to relax as I readied for the trip, knowing he was already here), and arrived in a beautiful Chrysler 3000 black sedan. When I stepped outside, he graciously and congenially introduced himself, and stepped out of the car to assist me and open the passenger door. He was consummately professional and dressed impeccably in a jacket and tie. The interior was extremely clean and comfortable with plush leather seats (I believe). Moreover, he offered bottled water if you were so inclined. The ride was very smooth, the driving careful and professional, and the company extremely amicable. I made it to my appointment with time to spare, and before exiting, Bill told me that if my appointment was going to run under or over the expected 3 hour timeframe, to just call his cellphone a half hour beforehand and he'd be there. When a few hours later, I did in fact call him to let him know when I'd be through with the meeting, he picked up his phone right away, and to his word, was waiting for me out front as I exited the building. The ride home was as smooth and pleasant as the ride there, and upon arrival, he once again got out of the car, opened the passenger door and made sure I was safely out of the vehicle. Of course, in this instance, I had no luggage, but I can assure you that had it been such, Bill would certainly have carried it for me as well. In the end a very excellent experience which made the usual stressors of travel much more bearable and easy. Furthermore, they did not charge my card until after the entire trip was over and that very evening, (only a short time later), I received a complete email receipt directly to my inbox. I HIGHLY recommend Sperling Car Service for all your transportation needs! PS: I forgot to add that at this juncture during the pandemic, Sperling Car Service responsibly requires all passengers to wear masks and their drivers, (in this case, Bill), all do likewise! I called a few companies & Sperling Car Service was the first one to return my call. I spoke with Linda, who was professional & kind. The price was reasonable so I booked them. Bill was our driver. He was on time. The car was beautiful, clean & Bill was an excellent driver. Since then I have used this service almost weekly for the past two years. Every driver has been professional & courteous. We'd never use another service! We've gone with Sperling to EWR, so we gave them a call to take us to and from the Prudential Center for a concert last week. The driver, Phil, and the entire process made the night so much more fun and stress-free. Bill et al efficiently return calls, send email confirmations, texts, etc. to ensure that there is no miscommunication. Phil could not have been more friendly and professional. He was timely, safe, personable, and dropped us off right at a Prudential entrance. When pick-up time came, he met us at the same place - we had to walk about 10 feet to the car, which was much appreciated since it was raining and my mother has mobility issues. Words cannot express how positive an experience I had with Sperling Car Service! I have had negative experiences in the past with other car services and had resigned to always driving myself and parking in long term parking. However, I hate driving back when I am jet lagged and tired especially from JFK to South NJ!!!! Well I am glad I didn't as this time I didn't feel well on top of everything else...The car was on time, clean, large, comfortable and worth every dime. I'm a little late in writing. I took a trip last month and needed a ride to and from JFK. Bill was on time and incredibly pleasant, which is amazing considering my first trip was at about 4 am. The car was immaculate and Bill was a professional. He had me there in plenty of time and was waiting when I landed. The reservation process was pretty seamless, as well. I filled out the request form and they contacted me later that evening. If you're in the area (I was coming from the Jersey shore), I highly recommend Sperling!
