Best of all, they clearly label the shelves with gluten-free stickers, making it incredibly easy to navigate. The staff here is also fantastic, attentive, and highly observant. While I was browsing one of the gluten-free sections, a staff member noticed, let me know there were even more options, and personally showed me where everything else was located. I highly recommend checking this place out!

I was going in a few days a week, but I won't anymore. I stopped in for a bottle of wine and a couple other things. Three young women were in front of me and overcharged for frozen pizza. They questioned him and he said it was for a different pizza, but then they went over to the cooler and it was priced $5. He did not adjust the price for them. They just kind of looked at each other and left. I was next in line and decided to look at my receipt. I too was charged more than the listed price in the cooler for that wine and another item I bought. I pointed it out and all the cashier said was they were adjusting the prices for the season. I said that they needed to publish the correct price then. Nothing. Crickets. No adjustment and no apology. Barney's is only a couple miles, so I will just go there from now on. Check your receipts, but good luck getting them to make good on it.

The meat department has excellent cuts of steaks at great prices. Huge selection of wine. Many of the stores carry liquor, this one does not. But I have been to the ones that do carry alcohol and they do carry everything. It is unbelievable inexpensive too. The customer service is great. Erik at the customer service area was very helpful and attentive. Since we are coming to South Bend so much we got the Martins advantage card. They have a great app also that gives you all the specials and advantages. Since I have retired , I have done most of the shopping and know the pricing of items we usually buy. They have the meats!!!…read more I searched high and low looking for a meat market that had wagyu steaks in the area. Family told me about this place and low & behold they have a large variety of meats at a reasonable price. Navigating the store is a bit cumbersome has they have it set up to flow a certain way. Other than that, for it to be on the smaller side of grocery stores it packs a lot of stuff from the butchered meat, to liquor, to seasonings. I had to do two laps to take it all in and stay to my grocery list, not randomly picking up stuff to purchase. Ultimately I picked up a few of their custom made brats, oxtail, and wings. The oxtail came out to $17 for what normally cost a bit more in other stores in other states. The wings prising wasn't bad either. So I'm definitely going to be back for that wagyu steak and other meats from the butcher area. Overall impression of Lowery's is high. Employees were friendly, they had a variety of goods, prices were reasonable.

Hot food, cold pop. when I overheard 3 female employees by the deli, hanging out, talking about maggots under the floor tiles. I was hoping they meant at home, surely they wouldn't be serving food around live maggots? However after listening to another minute of these despicable women's banter, they went right back to the maggots in the floor..the exterminator had just been in and it seemed to be a complet joke to these women. It sounded like they were more concerned with fighting other coworkers then proper hygiene or service. No gloves, hair all over, maggots in the floors, nonchalantly slicing deli meats. Casually hanging out and talking trash. Disgusting! Needless to say, I put everything down and I won't be back for lunch anytime soon.
