John had the incorrect day for my pick up, but was very accommodating and said he could butcher my filets in 10 minutes. I had ordered 7 filets between 6-8 oz. ea. They turned out to be some of the best beef tenderloin I've ever had. Don't let the price deter you. Well worth it. read more

The chicken brats are amazingly good. And then there are the smoked pork chops. We get ours about 1 1/2 inch thick. These are absolutely perfect! They have easy on line ordering now and drive through pick-up. read more

awful customer service. we've been coming here for years but after two terrible experiences, we will never be going back. the staff are not wearing masks, and leaning into our window to speak to us while we are all wearing masks. the staff is not communicating with each other, so we are getting different answers from different people. you should not speak to anyone the way the manager spoke to us, let alone a customer. today was the second time we experienced this and we will never be going back. there are other butchers in the area where you can be treated nicely. read more

Superb butcher shop! Many options both fresh and frozen, got some of the freshest salmon filets ever! Homemade sausage was delicious.... most importantly this is a family run business that has been in operation over 40 years, the original owners are still working side by side with their children . The daughter joked that they're trying to get her parents to start taking time off but the old man personally wrapped all our purchases. Charming people running a charming business in a charming lakefront Michigan town. Highly recommended! Havnt tried the key lime cheesecake yet but am anxiously waiting ! Wonderful butcher shop and very worth the drive down Red Arrow Highway. In particular, the Italian chicken sausages are some of the best, if not the best, sausages I have ever had. Definitely worth the visit/purchase. Went in based on the recommendation of the property manager of the place we were staying at + Yelp, and the meat quality and service is top notch. I got the chicken brats, which I was told they sold upwards of 1600 lbs. during July 4th weekend, chicken breasts, breakfast sausage, and a few pounds of the ground beef to make hamburgers. All in all, the meat was really quality and flavorful -- so much that a few non-meat preferring members of our family enjoyed eating the burgers. Definitely would go out of my way to purchase my way from Falatic's if we vacation in southwest MI again. read more

I've been stopping in here for about ten years now and not much has changed and I love that. For a small place, there is a good variety and high quality. The beef tenderloin steaks (filet) cut to order are superb and there is always the "do you want me to wrap it in bacon" offer. They don't need it. A cast iron pan, a sear, an oven finish. Good to go. I like the salmon, cut to my specifications as I watch. There is a good selection of lamb, almost always frozen, but once I lucked upon it having come in fresh during the busier summer months--loin chops from Colorado. Succulent. They smoke salmon, pickle herring and make sausages here. I'm grateful that family-owned and operated places like this still exist. read more

We have had every kind of meat possible from there -- fresh gound chuck, flank steak, turkey -- every year, once got an 18 pound rib roast -- best ham on bone anywhere, bacon is fab, fresh hot dogs --- dang -- all this talk and I need to go over there now! read more
