I've been to MANY different Grocery outlets in many different states and this one is my favorite. Since living 2 years in Brookings, this Grocery outlet has been a lifesaver. Yes, there is a FredMeyers and a McKays grocery store in Brookings, but they can be pricey if your needing organic foods. This grocery outlet usually has so many organic and vegan options, I never go home empty handed. I also love the fact that they offer new inventory every 2 days. I wish other grocery outlets would do this. You never know what your going to find. Staff is friendly and checkout is a breeze. I will miss this store. read more

We love "GOB-UM" (Grocery Outlet Bargain Mkt - my husband's acronym and favorite place to shop). We have a local store in N. Calif, where we're from, but the one in Brookings is by far and away, the best one we've been to. It has lot's of organic products and the staff is always, super friendly. We vacation in Brookings every year or 2 and this store is our first stop, to stock up on everything we need for a wonderful 2 weeks at the beach. Keep up the good work! read more

All the staff work hard to keep store stocked, fresh and theres always local beer and food on tap. They recycle cans and bottles too in the back. One of the friendliest places in the area. read more

I am writing a review for one thing only.... the rap music. I was excited to try this store. I heard good things. I was immediately blasted with music that is notoriously violent against women and society in general. If you think I should have plugged my ears and stood up for it, consider the elderly lady I mentioned it to. I told her I'm not a "ho" and didn't appreciate music that recommends passing women around "for enjoyment." She almost teared up and said she was so glad someone else said it, but that she had to shop there because she could not afford Fred Myer. I called the manager. He said they had received a lot of complaints but that I was the first to be so adamant about it. If the store has received a lot of complaints, this should be a clue to remove said music. What about the "Me too" culture? Has this been forgotten? What about the culture of women's rights and being treated with respect and equality? What about assaulting an elderly lady who cannot afford to shop elsewhere, so she's subjected to music that promotes raping women? Go ahead and laugh. Prove yourself how low a scumbag you can be. read more

I used to love shopping at the Brookings store, and probably average spending about $300 to $400 there every month. However, today there were numerous people in the store without masks, including two women wearing their masks, while their numerous young children (five in one case) were running all over the store without their masks. We've all had to suffer masks and social isolation for over a year at this point, and with vaccines coming to all of very soon, or so we hope, this is not the time for people to let down their guards and to endanger the lives of their older more vulnerable neighbors. And, while these mothers may not fear for their children's lives from covid, their kids could, without ever showing symptoms, infect and even kill others more susceptible to the virus. Had the manager seemed more interested in following the guidelines and in protecting her customers, I would have simply shrugged this incident off. But, the manager seemed more annoyed that I'd asked for her help than in doing anything about it. read more

I love any opportunity to stop at a grocery outlet store. This one is probably my favorite ever. The clerks are so very friendly, and conversant. In general GO has the best prices and a great selection. Not to mention the fact that they keep the place very well stocked. I have to commend this in particular store even more for the fact that their employees are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. As an example, our check out girl recommended that we go to the Vista Pub for dinner, and boy was she ever right! That is a top five favorite restaurant of mine now! The thing is that I probably never would have known about it if not for the friendly and up beat staff here at GO. I wish every store was more like this Grocery Outlet. read more

Today was my first visit to the Grocery Outlet in Brookings. The place had a big parking lot and looked clean on the inside and outside. I enjoyed checking out all the goodies they have. They had a lot of veggie options too when I went. The place was very popular. The best was the checkout. I was having a bad day and the cashier was a breathe of sunshine! Gotta love Grocery Outlet... Crazy cheap prices on most items, friendly staff and the fun of never knowing what they're gonna have at any given day. Like other have mentioned, check the expiration dates before buying. I like to fill my freezer when I see a certain item that I like for a great price. A side note: What's with the employee that does loud bird whistles all day? The last several times I've shopped there, he's in constant bird mode..... Curious, if not slightly annoying. read more

This Grocery Outlet is A++, the store is clean and organized, including the women's bathroom (cant vouch for the men's -LOL); the staff are all helpful and friendly and most of them even have good singing voices (I know, a random fact, but it's lovely noneltheless, and I have suggested they get together and sing a commercial for the radio, but so far hasn't happened :( The deals at this place are great, and the selection of organic, natural, and non-GMO products is impressive. I always go to Grocery Outlet first, then finish up at Freddys for anything I couldn't find at GO. If you're in Brookings or traveling through and need groceries, definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. P.S. I travel all the way from Gasquet to shop here, even though the Crescent City GO is closer because this one is so good!! read more

Sarah A is spot on, Grocery Outlet has some great deals! While you cannot always find the same thing twice (the products do vary greatly sometimes) there are things I ALWAYS come here for. First, come here before you shop elsewhere. You are going to be annoyed with yourself if you don't. Who wants to pay $3+ for a box of Wheat Thins when they are only $1.99 here? There are lots of deals for school lunch stuff, as well as baking products and more. I always buy my face cleaner wipes here, 95% of the time they are in stock! :D Carefully check the expiration dates on meats and dairy as well as check the produce. Sometimes their produce is great (I had some awesome cantaloupes, grapes and strawberries this year) and sometimes not so great, but I find that with any store. I tend to avoid the meats here unless it is a brand I have heard of and their expiration date is a ways off. That's just me. They do not accept manufacturer coupons, which is a bummer, but if you watch their deals, you can really score some great ones. I come here often and always before I hit other stores! read more

Great deals. Fun concept and always something different here. Just watch the expiration dates. I like the organic section but would like more organic produce and dairy choices.
