Fabulous place for beer and food. Got the nachos and 3 beef tacos. Forgot to take a picture of the food. Very generous portions and tasty. Beers also great and staff were friendly and welcoming. We had planned to go somewhere else in the complex for food but glad we found this place!

    Beer to go.

Great place. Had chicken tacos. The pumpkin stout and strawberry ale. Service was terrific, especially on a holiday weekend. Will be going back!! Easy to just hang out, plus good music.

Spending the night in Brookings we decided to try a local brewery (of course) before settling in. This little brewery was just across the way and down the street from our accommodations. A quick 5 minute walk to be exact. Found down the stairs in the basement, is this little hole in the wall Lord of the Rings themed brewery. We had the King Under the Pumpkin Stout. Sweet and stout like dessert in a glass, and Hop Back Pale Ale. We also tasted Rohan Red, 3 Hunters IPA as well as Goldberry Kolsch. They have a small, but nice menu of food items available. There is a Pay It Forward list on the wall to take from or give a beer. The space is small and the owners are friendly. This is definitely a locals place. Stop in and have a pint or two, I'm sure they'll be happy to see you.

You can drink your fancy ales , you drink them by the flaggins , but only brewery for the true LotR fans is at Misty Mountain ! I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the small brewery for I had no idea that it was a LotR themed bar. I was amazed by the art work and music that drafted through the air. I had stopped at seaQuake brewery so i knew they had done a couple colabs with them that I had tasted and that were amazing! But while here I tried some of their own exclusive beer . Everything I tried was truly well crafted smooth and crisp! They had a limited food menus but the " Tooke Tacos " instantly jumped out at me . After ordering 2 , they were the most outstanding flavored pub food I have ever had , so I had to get seconds. If you are looking for fantastic brews , and great food, or if you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings , you have to check out " Misty Mountain Brewery " here in brookings OR!

A wall of "pay it forward". I love it.

If you like beer you HAVE to stop here. It's downstairs behind the restaurants on street level. We stopped for a beer and talked to the owner/brewer who was the nicest guy ever. We love smaller, locally owned places and would love to see this guy and his business thrive! His IPA was awesome. I hope when we visit again he will have expanded! Go try his beer!!

Right in the middle of town, this little den of amazingness is fun, worth it and has a surprising team building skill builder. I love anything "hole in the wall" places and this fits the bill! Off the Main Street you enter into an upstairs common area of businesses that smells weird and makes you think your lost (don't freak out. Trust the process!), follow the stairs down to the amazing little hole of wonder that has super personable, helpful folks working there, some amazing regulars willing to jump in on selfies and a wall game of strategy and infuriation! Such a fun, cool spot!

First place we tried when we got to Brookings…read more Great food and service. Came here with the family. We got 2 pizzas that were shareable sizes. We got a margherita and all meat. Both really good and made in their stone oven. We also got the calmari for appetizers. Calamari cooked perfectly, not rubbery. Light batter, crispy, and seasoned really well that gave it great flavor. Others in the group ordered a clam chowder bread bowl, chicken Parmesan, fish & chips and shrimp & chips. The overall consensus was good. Casual atmosphere and perfect location. It's at the boardwalk near an arcade. During the day, there's also ice cream and coffee nearby. Couldn't get any pictures.

We came down to Brookings to take care of some business and decided to stop in for lunch and a drink afterwards. We weren't especially hungry so we ordered our usual favorites (clam chowder for me and steamer clams for the fellow) that combo usually helps us decide whether or not we want to return, without breaking the bank on a new spot. Our server was delightful, she was kind and attentive without being overbearing. Our order took a little longer than expected for what we ordered but we didn't mind, we had some nice blackberry cider they had on tap to tide us over. I was a little disappointed when our meals came out and I didn't get a slice of bread with my bowl of clam chowder like the fellow did with his steamers, but we were able to buy a half batard for $5 and that was perfect for us to split. It came out warm with a side of butter and complimented the chowder much nicer than the oyster crackers they originally brought out would have. In fact I recommend getting the bread if you order the chowder, it almost stole the show. The chowder was delicious, could've been warmer but still very tasty, the potatoes were cut super thin, and the clams were plump and tender and tasted fresh, they did add bacon but not in overwhelming amounts, and I thought it was spiced perfectly. I only added a few shakes of red pepper flakes to finish it. The fellow thought his steamer clams/mussels were marvelous, with a very flavorful broth, and he loved the fact that he was allowed to mix them. They made a good first impression on us, we will definitely be returning for dinner and ordering a couple of pizzas and perhaps a salad as well. Who knows, they may prove to be one of our new favorite spots.

We had such a wonderful time at fat Irish kitchen! I was in Brookings for work with my wife…read moretraveling with me and we just didn't know where to go, our hotel receptionist said we should come here and man are we glad we listened! The vibe is exactly what you expect from a awesome little Irish pub. Lots of beer artwork on the walls, cool little tree of life art, and the friendliest staff you'll ever find. The bartender Holly was the most friendly bartender I've had in I feel like a decade or more, and the bar back Josh was pretty awesome himself. He gave us some wonderful tips for some other places to eat at as we travel around the state, and all in all both of them gave us some pretty epic conversation. We almost never said at the bar, we decided to this time and I'm so glad that we did! The food was so so, nothing to really write home about but nothing really wrong either. It's bar food, you get what you expect when you go to an Irish pub. Taco Tuesday was well worth it, I'm a pescatarian so I had the fish taco and then tried their awesome potato taco and enjoyed the potato taco the most actually! I wouldn't pay what they normally charge for these tacos, they're pretty basic and the tortillas are not grilled nearly enough, but Taco Tuesday made three tacos only $10.50 and I could mix and match between all the different types so that was totally worth it! My wife tried the honey mustard chicken salad and unfortunately it did not live up to what she had hoped for. It was a really basic salad the veggies were fresh which was fortunate but it was basic, nothing was really seasoned, the honey mustard dressing didn't taste like mustard at all and the chicken was basic breaded chicken that tasted like it was from Dairy Queen. It was fresh, but still tasted like it was from Dairy Queen. All In all, the drinks and the bartender will definitely keep us coming back. Next time it'll just be for some drinks and some fries probably, but I definitely can't wait to try the steamer clams with jalapenos.

My husband got the salad bar. Based on other reviews I inspected the salad bar before he ordered and didn't find any concerns. The ingredients were fresh and he piled the plate high. Our pizza was fantastic! We got a medium Wild Side and subbed out half without olives and extra pepperoni instead. The crust was thin and perfectly crispy. All ingredients were generous and fresh. I sampled a couple of the beers before landing on the Kolsh. Is a solid beer among several that were very good. It's a medium size space and has an old school pizza place vibe. There are a couple games for the kids (in all of us) and a pool table. Music is mixed genre and isn't so loud that you can't have a conversation. Seating is long tables, family style, chairs are comfortable. Overall I would have no hesitation to return here and bring, or recommend it, to friends and family. (Or strangers like you for that matter!) 10/10 recommend! Get in here for good pizza and beer!!

September 27, 2024, Cave Junction, OR…read more We stopped here after a tour and hike at the Oregon Caves, so we were a bit hungry, and pizza sounded good. Perfect choice! We ordered a small Deli Delight Pizza (linguica, mushrooms, pepperoni, olives, and pork sausage, $22). The pizza was delicious. Small was definitely enough for both of us, and we had some left to take home and munch on later. Their pizza is unique in that the sauce and toppings are spread all the way to the edge of the dough. The pizza is cut it into perfect-sized pieces, which they call the "party cut". From their website: "Owners Jerry and Bertha Miller tell the story: When they served their first pizza at the grand opening in 1975, a large crowd of helpers, friends and neighbors were present and waiting hungrily. So they chopped that first pizza into many pieces, so everyone could have a bite. It turned out to be a great way to serve pizza, especially to large parties." Well, we were only a party of two, but we loved the party cut. Service was good, and the pizza came out quickly. Glad we stopped in.
