Tourist TRAP: Does this look like $39.00 worth of seafood to you? Smoked salmon $27 + rockfish ceviche (needs salt) $12 *sadness*
    Madison M.

I go outta my way to support local businesses, but this place has turned into a Tourist TRAP. I've been here several times over the years and while I understand the cost of doing business.... the prices are getting out of control. The 6oz serving of rockfish ceviche was worth giving a try, BUT for $12.00 I expected flavor and texture to be on point. Not the case, needs salt and slightly chewy texture. Hard Pass. House Smoked Salmon: 2 small fillet portions maybe 6-8oz totaled $27.00 (~$50-60 per pound)?! I don't recall it being that expensive ever *sadness* Still paid the requested $39.00 with high hopes of unique bursts of flavor and mouth watering freshness from locally caught seafood *fingers crossed* Nope. Next time, buy a whole filleted rockfish here for $8-12 and add lemon, lime, a Tbsp of white onion and a sprinkle of cilantro + salt *WIN* I have no idea how much you could possibly charge for smoked salmon, BUT ~8oz for $27.00 is not something I'll do again *sadness*

Nice spot to grab some fresh fish to grill. Prices were a bit high, probably taking advantage of tourists like me at the harbor. Well worth it though! They have a little of everything you may need. Nice little art/gift section. We got some Rock Fish and it was tasty grilled. We also got a spot of garlic butter and tarter sauce for it. I wish it had been crab season!

King Chinook salmon. FRESH! It was lovely.

Amazing little store! FANTASTIC service. FANTASTIC seafood and fish. The highest of quality. Great quality and great service. Super clean. No fish smell. You can tell the owners know and embrace the highest of expectations for their wonderful little store. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. They have an amazing array of seafood. Reward yourself and treat yourself by going there every day. We did. We had a wonderful fish meal three nights in a row. Exceptional store. It is one of the highlights of Brookings.

My poke salad made with tuna purchased here!!!

Great people. Total service with a smile & good information. Don't be afraid to ask! Fabulous fish of all kinds, just depends on the day. All sorts of seafood condiments. Total one stop shop. Right by the docks for a nice walk while you're out.

Great view with the best salmon salad ever.

They have fresh seafood and helpful staff. I would recommend this business. Try to get there early for best selection.

Great fish market!! All the fish is local and they have locally canned albacore. Check out the pristine Dewey Weber too.

Super disappointing brunch service this morning. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but the…read morewait time was a little ridiculous for simple breakfast food and considering the place was only about half to two thirds full at the time. It was at least 40 minutes from the time we ordered to the time our food started showing up and, for whatever reason, our French toast kabob appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our mains. The bigger problem was the Irish Filler. Of the two strips of bacon it came with, one was overcooked to the point of being brittle and hard to chew, while the other was way undercooked so the fat had just barely started to render and had that sort of gross gelatinous texture. On top of that, I had to send it back twice because it was missing the gravy and the corned beef; both of which are standard ingredients included in the base recipe. Our server was very apologetic and was quick to return to the kitchen for the missing ingredients. Unfortunately, when the dish was complete I dug in only to find the entire thing lukewarm to the point that the cheese hadn't even melted over the potatoes in the bottom of the bowl. By that point I just wanted something in my stomach so I just sort of picked at it until I was no longer starving, but I didn't even bother with a box for the leftovers. To be fair, the Top o' the Mornin' omelette and the breakfast burrito with sausage were really good; generous portions and cooked well. But I feel like when your brunch menu only consists of like ten items to begin with, you should probably excel at all ten of those items. Hopefully this was just a one-off and not indicative of their usual quality but with a variety of other local places to choose from, I can't say for certain that I'll be trying my luck here again.

I made the fatal mistake of trying to order 1 time too many, (2006) This time all I got was excuses and a bill on my credit card for over $371. No product ever came. I called them several times, got the run-around, and wrote letters to the address they list on their website, all of which were returned. I see now that the BBB has not rated them and I've finally contacted the U.S. Consumer Protection Agency. Why could they not have sent me what I paid for? Why did they misrepresent why the goods were not sent me?
