I purchased some smoked steelhead and smoked black cod on March 19, 2026. I was massively disappointed. Both were virtually inedible. They were heavily doused with Old Bay or similar seasoning. I have smoked fish and a variety of other proteins for over 50 years. Neither of these fish spent much time in a smoker. You should be ashamed of your supposed smoked fish. read more

We stopped in here to have some fresh seafood but they truly are a fish market! Amazingly enough they had flown in Ono from Hawaii, which I couldn't pass up!! So I did pick up some of that and we enjoyed making it back at camp. I'd stop here again off in the area. read more

I go outta my way to support local businesses, but this place has turned into a Tourist TRAP. I've been here several times over the years and while I understand the cost of doing business.... the prices are getting out of control. The 6oz serving of rockfish ceviche was worth giving a try, BUT for $12.00 I expected flavor and texture to be on point. Not the case, needs salt and slightly chewy texture. Hard Pass. House Smoked Salmon: 2 small fillet portions maybe 6-8oz totaled $27.00 (~$50-60 per pound)?! I don't recall it being that expensive ever *sadness* Still paid the requested $39.00 with high hopes of unique bursts of flavor and mouth watering freshness from locally caught seafood *fingers crossed* Nope. Next time, buy a whole filleted rockfish here for $8-12 and add lemon, lime, a Tbsp of white onion and a sprinkle of cilantro + salt *WIN* I have no idea how much you could possibly charge for smoked salmon, BUT ~8oz for $27.00 is not something I'll do again *sadness* read more

Pretty cool spot. I am from California and was on a road trip. Was told I needed to try the canned tuna in this area. Was just passing by but made sure to stop. Great little fish market. Nice staff. They were nice, but, I got some oysters from them and thought that they tasted a bit funky. I don't like to mess around with oysters so I put them in the trash. They also were pretty limited in their selection, with no small tartar sauces and no oysters on the halfshell (all they had were oysters in plastic containers, despite the photos on yelp). Found this place while we took a trip to OR. I wish they had a place like this where we live in CA. This place is great! The rockfish was my favorite, flaky, tasty, so fresh! We even bought some frozen ones (they have a freezer with pre-packed fish) and they tasted as fresh as when we cooked our fresh ones. We packed our RV freezer and we just finished our last pack. I can't wait To go back to get more. They also BBQ smoked salmon belly, my husband's favorite. We bought tons of it. Everything is fresh, you can see just by looking at the fish and when you smell it, it doesn't smell fishy, it smells fresh like the ocean. I can't rave enough about this place. We settled on halibut, with a side of seaweed salad, and freshly smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was probably the best we have ever had, and the halibut--simply seasoned with Tony Chachere's Creole, and blackened in olive oil and butter--was the best on our trip, in home or at restaurants along the coast. They had the best and freshest fish, that my husband and I have seen on the Oregon Coast. The two gentlemen working there were very friendly and helpful. One of the guys even gave us a sample of smoked salmon (from the salmon belly) right out of the smoker!!! It was devine and still hot!!! Awesome place..being from the desert I have never been to a fresh fish market nor am I familiar with how to cook with fresh fish..These guys are so helpful and informative with everything. The seafood they have is never "fresh frozen" like other places I have been to in town. They always have a great selection of everything I need and the hours are very accommodating. My kids love coming here, although they have been offered to pet the crabs they haven't yet ...(little chickens haha). But they still enjoy looking around! I was thrilled to stop in and discover that the fish market near the boat ramp at the port had re-opened. I picked up a loin of local albacore that was the freshest and most delicious piece of tuna I've ever thrown on my grill. The friendly owner told me about each item in the counter and when and where it was from. He had several types of local fish and an entertaining tank of live fish and crawdads. Bought some fish from the Jacksonville farmers market a few weekends ago, service was ok to say the least. I then bought ling cod that was supposed to be fresh. It looked great, but when I got home it had an off smell. Still served it for dinner and then got food poisoning later that night. I'm almost positive it was the fish, because the rest of my family was sick as well. I should have trusted my gut in the first place and skipped this place all together. Will never go back. read more
