It seems like this is a Vietamese run and owned supermarket, with a select few staff who also speak Chinese, as well. This is a very older supermarket in a smallish shopping center, but also has plenty of parking spaces. The inside is very old, and could really use a remodel to make it more modern, but for a supermarket, it does the job. The cleanliness isn't quite there compared to a 99 Ranch Market or other chain supermarket, but thus one seems like a single location, non chain. The prices here are pretty reasonable, especially for the fruits, not sure how they are able to compete with other stores and offer fruits are relatively low low prices. Oranges are $0.49 LB! These is the cheapest I've seen, even previously, they've offered them at $0.39 LB too. Again, not sure how they can sell them so cheap! We also really like the Fried Tofu they sell here for $4.99, the only supermarket that sells this kind. It's large sized, fried square tofu puffs. We get this every visit we come here. They sell alot too! The customer service here is really non-existent, meaning there is basically none, unless you speak their language, which is vietnamese. They automatically start talking to you in vietnamese, not much english with the cashiers, although they do understand basic english. Plenty of parking in the lot, so no worries there and they also have plenty of shopping carts for customers to use. However, I wish they would provide some shopping cart corrals for the parking lot, so customers have a place to return it after use. Overall, just a 3 star. Basic supermarket, nothing spectacular.

1 star: Extremely unpleasant checkout experience…read more I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Milpitas location on 9/9/2026, at approx. 11:46 AM involving a cashier named Ha Ngoc. When I entered the checkout lane, Ha Ngoc had left her register to chat with a coworker in the lottery section despite customers waiting. After returning and scanning my groceries, she left the scanned items next to herself rather than moving them down the counter so I could easily reach and bag them. I politely asked her to move them down. She gave me a side-eye and only moved them slightly. After she finished scanning, I politely asked again. Instead of responding, she turned her back to me and ignored me despite my saying "excuse me" multiple times. She then began yelling in Vietnamese, which I do not understand. I asked to speak with a manager and ultimately with upper management because the situation continued to escalate. I was particularly uncomfortable when Ha Ngoc continued discussing the incident with other customers who had NOT witnessed what happened. What was especially disappointing was that all I wanted at that point was a simple apology. Instead, Ha Ngoc repeatedly responded, "No sorry." I eventually spoke with another management staff member, who listened to me and apologized multiple times. I appreciated her professionalism, and I want to make clear that my complaint is specifically about the conduct of the cashier involved, not the staff member who ultimately helped me. I emailed management afterward with a detailed account of the incident and requested a follow-up, but I have received ZERO response. I am posting this review because I believe customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, and management should take complaints about customer-facing employee conduct seriously.

They do get a lot of the new items which is lovely. Folks here are always lovely and friendly. The only thing that is horrible is the parking. The parking in the garage is so tight like they decided we're going to squeeze as many spaces that barely have space between cars. I end up parking outside sometimes just for a slightly better space though it's again getting harder and harder to find parking here as more new restaurants are springing up on the first floor nearby. Still will come here on occasions depending on what errands we need to do and it's also on my way home for work if I need to pick up anything.

So i decided to get two boxes of wine since again I had to grab some stuff for an order I was working on. This cashier made my expertise go from wow to dam you really should not be talking to people that way. So I show her the ID of the customer on my phone like we all do when we have an order for liquor and she then decided to rudely say no I need to see yours so I look at my wife and ask her to give her my ID to what she says if your the one buying the liquor it should be your I then looked at her and said yes it is she just has my id. She then looks at my wife and says where's the ID I need an ID my wife gives her my ID then I ask her do you need to scan this "the customers membership number or something in my phone" to what she replied rudely I'll do that when I'm done give me a minute. So I waited till she was done scanning my items to show her the bar codes she then says why did you tell me you had the bar codes I could have scan them in the beginning. Mind you she just had said to wait till she was done. I then had another order with me she then rudely says well how many orders is it to I respond just two. She started grabbing the items mind you I had 3 items that where bigger quantities so I did not put them In the belt due to them being heavy. So when she grab the water I told her I have 8 of them to she rudely said can you wait till I ask you how many you have before you tell me how many you have. With a voice that sounded like she was annoyed of doing her job. I was just trying to help her before she just input one. This kind of service made me not want to shop here for any of my ordered which messed up with my money. As she started to grab the other items that had a big quantity I stayed quiet and waited to tell her the amount she never asked if I had more of that same item so I waited till she was done to tell her to she yelled and said why didn't I tell her sooner about the multiple quantity in that item. It was like dam if I do dam if I don't. Sorry smart and final but people like this should not be working at your company. Us as customers we come to shop at your store righter for self or for others but still we come to shop here. I was not expecting ti get yelled at or belittled by this cashier with a bad attitude. Now for the moment of truth is this place Dendinger approved!!!! Unfortunately NO!!! This place is not Dendinger approved. It was so hard to walk around without trying to dodge other shopping carts or other customers standing in the aisle and not moving aside to make space (zero awareness of surroundings). This visit comes after a road trip to the midwest where I visited many Walmarts and found those stores much more calm and enjoyable, than the visit to this store in Milpitas. I found a couple of items I needed. The tube of E6000 was easy to find in the crafting section, which saved me a trip to Michaels. I needed some frozen pineapples and walked toward the freezer aisles looking for frozen fruit signage. No signage for "frozen fruit", but saw a sign for "frozen vegetables" and guessed it might be down the same aisle. I walked halfway down the aisle before the kiddo called out to me to come back because I had walked right past the narrow section of frozen fruit. No signage near it, which made it difficult to notice. Signage at this store could be improved. On the upside, I found a HUGE bag of frozen pineapple chunks that will last me quite some time (I hope), so that I won't have to return here for quite some time. I wandered into the sporting goods section to see what kind of ice chests they had that also had wheels. They had every size except the size I was looking for. I was also looking for Cream of Coconut, but could not find it anywhere. Any guesses on what I was trying to make with pineapple and cream of coconut? :) I went to check out in a regular staffed register. Ok, I admit, I did not want to walk to the other end of the store to hunt down the self checkout, mostly because the store was so crowded. And then I was surprised to see a sign at the register that said "Visual & audio recording, Body-worn cameras in use". I did not see this at any of the other Walmarts I visited in the midwest. One big annoyance at this Milpitas store (which is also present at the other Walmart locations) is the lack of NFC tap-to-pay. You will not be using Apple Pay or Google Pay here. This is inconvenient, as I pretty much use tap to pay everywhere. Lack of this tap to pay feature makes transactions at Walmart feel less secure. And also appears to encourage credit card fraud. Or is the store's refusal to use NFC tap to pay -- which the majority of other retail stores already have -- a reflection of their perception that their clientele is less up to date with "newer" technology that has been around for quite some time. One good thing about the store is their restroom locations are consistent with all the other Walmart locations I've visited. There's a restroom at the front middle area, and another one in the back middle area. Even Target stores are not as consistent with their restroom locations. Oh and this store does receipt checks when you walk out the door, they must be identifying with Costco today. LOL The receipt checker was friendly.

Being openly advertised as super affordable, I was excited to grab me a heart shaped cake to celebrate my little one's baptism. We are keeping things super lowkey and Walmart's offering was exactly what I needed. I drove out to this location and attempted to place an order in person only to be turned away and directed to order cakes online. I wasted time and gas but I was pleasantly impressed with the employee letting me know that one day notice is enough time for Walmart to get these custom cakes out to their patrons. Perfect because I was giving them 2 days notice for my purchase. I immediately hop online and place my order @ approximately 3:06pm. I wait for the confirmation text before going on with my busy day. I'm happy, I'm excited, and I have high hopes because social media is blowing this spot up for its amazing cakes. Everything takes a turn for the worst when I receive a text message the next morning stating my order being cancelled due to "technical reasons". I am now 1 day away from the cake pick up date and have no cake to be received. I am 100% disappointed in this entire experience and am not forced to scramble around for another bakery. 1 star. I'm gonna take this as a sign from the universe that Milpitas's Walmart Bakery is trash. There is probably a valid reason as to why there is a lack of foot traffic passing through the bakery.

I overall like shopping here especially because there's lots of food and drinks in the same plaza and it's nice to have a lot of businesses gathered in the same place. I feel like the large majority of the older people working here whether as cashiers at the main checkout or at the food or bakery are pretty nice and friendly, maybe some of them are more brusque but I don't mind it. The only people I feel like are rude are the majority of the young people who work here?? I don't really get why but there's frequently a young person working at the main checkout who seems like they're in an awful mood and takes it out on the customers in petty ways. So weird! Otherwise, this is a great, inexpensive place to shop at, and I love the Chinese snacks, fruits, and everything else that I wouldn't otherwise get so easily at other stores. Parking in the afternoons can be somewhat difficult but I always find a spot.

They had fresh thawed ahi steaks for 5.99 lb which is a good price. Many people understand that freezing fish can kill parasites. They only had one pack so I asked at the meat counter if they had more. They said they would have them at 5 pm. The frozen ahi sashimi grade tuna was priced at something like $49.99 a pound. I've never seen a price like this which is was mind blowing. But I digress. A sign of the times? Not sure. I'm not a Karen. lol. I highly respect stores and how hard people are working especially on a busy holiday. I asked the butcher if it could possibly be given a bit earlier than 5 pm because I lived far away. Because it was later in the evening, there weren't as many options as earlier in the day, however, I was able to get what I needed. What really threw me off was the store layout. Everything that is normally on the right side of the store is now on the left like the deli, meat and poultry, bread, and seafood section. Everything that is normally on the left side is now on the right side like dairy, snacks, seasonings, and more! It is a smaller store but pretty easy to navigate through.
