The store has a good selection and decent prices, but anytime I am rung up by any of the younger girls, I leave in a sad mood. They are sooooo mean for absolutely no reason at all. They should definitely not be in the front of the store. I always go outta my way to be nice to them and it never makes a difference. Just major attitude every single time. Grocery Outlet advertised a wine sale. Twenty percent off of bottles of wine. We visited the Ukiah GO and intended to purchase a couple of cases of wine. Unfortunately the Ukiah store had no empty cardboard wine boxes available. When we asked an employee where the boxes were she said that there were none but we could buy shopping bags that held six bottles. Don't break down all the empty wine boxes, especially when you're having a sale!! It appears that the current manager is discouraging wine purchases. We were also disappointed that the employee who checked us out was snapping her chewing gum and texting while we were checking out. Very rude. read more

I have been shopping at the Ukiah Grocery Outlet for many years. They have what they have, not everything you can imagine. Prices are dramatically less than mainline grocery stores. Some perishables are very close to "use by" dates, but a lot of their products are like anywhere else. I've had no issues with unpleasant employees...like most places, greet people with a smile and usually you get a reciprocal response. They could improve their pricing accuracy. Having worked in the industry, I figure it's inattentive stocking (wrong item in slot) not an intentional effort to mislead. My family saves thousands of dollars a year shopping here. Any issue I've had (few) has been quickly resolved. Heading down there at 7:00 am when they open...saving $$ on frozen lasagnas. read more

I really like this Grocery Outlet, they are a little small but they are able to fit a lot of goods in the store without it feeling too cluttered. There is one cashier that isn't too friendly but I just avoid her line if possible. I did have one experience where I bought some Parmesan cheese and when the cashier went to ring me up it scanned as $3.99 when the tag said $1.99. I immediately let the cashier know and the bagger said that it was not possible since she just stocked that area. The cashier then asked the bagger if she has switched the tags and she admitted that she had not. Instead of honoring the price that the tag clearly was showing they made me pay the higher price even though they admitted it was their fault. That is fake advertisement and is actually against the law, however I was on my lunch break and didn't care to get the manager involved. read more

Of all the Grocery Outlets, this one is my least favorite. It's very small and doesn't carry a lot of products. And their prices are higher then the one in Cloverdale, Santa Rosa, Sacramento and Willits just to name a few. They should have moved to bigger place many years ago. read more

There customer service needs alot of help asked to use the restroom I waited for almost 10 mins nobody ever came to open the door even after being called 4 times so I gave up.after going threw the store I just felt the store was dirty and not very well stocked the aisles where just a mess.As I walked down the aisle where the restroom was I saw an employee and if she could let me in and I wished I would of just held it because the bathroom is nasty not cleaned for who knows how long.I will not be shopping there again. read more

every surrounding area grocery outlet is significantly better in cleanliness, prices, selection, and pleasantness. i've talked to numerous people that have been treated rudely, awkwardly accused of stealing, and other inappropriate behavior etc. after hearing friends experiences, i refuse to support a business that treats it's regular customers that way. i've had my own unpleasant experiences, but was appalled to hear how my friends were treated. some of the employees are always grumpy and rude. the prices are always more than other grocery outlets for the exact same things. their employee entrance will reek of cigarette smoke. the only reason to come here is convenience to pick up one thing you need. you're much better off planning to make your grocery outlet trips in willits, cloverdale, windsor, santa rosa, etc. they all have better selections anyways. i encourage the owners to get this place together and actually treat their customers with respect, because having a more affordable grocery store is an invaluable resource for everyone nowadays, and sadly this one is frankly trash in multiple regards. for the sake of people who can't travel, maybe have a shred of pride in your store read more

I'm always a big fan of grocery outlet. This location has really grown since i was a little girl. This place is clean and well stocked I just wish they could expand, its a little cramped in there. Not really a biggie though. I like stopping by for snacks when im in town visiting. Fyi check expiration dates, and if you see something you like you better grab it cuz it probably won't be there on your next visit. read more

This Grocery Outlet store has been in town for many years serving the community, it is located right on State Street, north of town center a couple blocks on the east side of the street. You will find a little bit if everything here, food items from standard food goods to specialty foods like olive oils and spices. This a literally a one-stop shopping place with a good bunch of people working there, always friendly and helpful - at least in my experiences and dealings. It can get busy in the store on the first and middle of the month. Shop early for easiest shopping. You will usually find a great beer and wine selection here, there are deals to be had on cases and single lot close outs. As well as an ever changing selection that is updated regularly. This G.O. store has one of the best selections around. There are all kinds of bargains to be has at this location - they carry a little bit of everything; personal items, household supplies, pet foods, holiday decorations, toys, frozen foods, canned goods, pastas, the list goes on. Usually shop there once a week and have enjoyed the changes the new owners brought to the store. However, today was first time shopping with the county requirement to wear face covering in any building or enclosed space. Most folks had face coverings on and store employees. There was a couple shopping with no masks on. I asked the clerk about the enforcement of face coverings, her face mask was not covering her nose and she said "it's their risk". That's not what masks are primarily for, it's to protect others from you. It seems education for employees is needed. It's a REQUIREMENT to wear mask/ face covering. Until your store is enforcing this we will not be shopping there. Please keep us updated on this issue. Thank you. read more

I went to Grocery Outlet in Ukiah last night and a homeless woman was sitting outside and asked for a few bucks. Let's just say I gave her more than a few. I went in and proceeded to buy groceries. We took a while. I purchased nine bags of ice because up the power outage. At the cash register I went outside to grab another cart to transfer the ice over at the register. It was there I seen that lady trying to get out the exit door with the cart but it seemed stuck. I didn't know what was going on I thought the wheel was stuck but it wouldn't push out the door. Then a man came up I'm assuming was the manager and started getting aggressive with her and raising his voice at her started telling her she was banned for life she was looking down at the floor and he was demanding that she look at him and had his phone in his hand shoving it in her face trying to take a picture of her, she shamefully said I just have my bags and picked them up and started to walk away and I looked at him and said I just gave that woman money before I walked into the store he continue to rant on. He stormed over to the cashier started complaining about her front of the other customers telling me she's supposed to take her cart through the checkout. she took the bags from the counter, carried them over and put them in a cart and tried to walk out the door he said if the cart isn't pushed through the checkout they won't go out the door. I told him how was she supposed to know that I didn't know that and obviously she isn't in her right mind. The bottom line is that was a human being who's obviously suffered so much abuse or pain or loss that she just finally given up. And to be shamed and treated like a piece of trash. I was so so upset I couldn't think straight or I would have took his picture and placed it here! read more

I am very appreciative of the changes that the new owners have made in the store. They got rid of single can alcoholic beverages and moved the healthy organic foods up front. So grabbed a bag of sweet Mandarins, a whole bunch of bananas AND-- * Hook & Ladder Back Draft beer [dark & rich] $3.99 * down with fake fur pullon bootie slippers 2.99 * Pears translucent bar soap .99 * 3 kinds of cheeses 1.99-3.99 * a 28oz bag of Mission Tortilla chips 1.99 * a soap sponge squeegee with handle for soap .99 * a woven basket in duo shades, with striped liner 7.99 !! * 2 packages of Hydrox cookies for dad 1.49@ Etc, etc... you get the idea. As hubbie says, they see me coming !! Not many places in the world where you feel like you can consistently get a bargain, on things needed and not. I must say the place is busier every time I go, so word is out that this is wise shopping. read more

We love this place. We moved from Santa Rosa, so no Trader Joe's, no small asian stores, decent priced Latin stores, just not much here in the woods. We found Grocery Outlet here and we are Thrilled. My wife loves to go shopping there. We get great deals there. You can buy a decent bottle of wine for less than 5 bucks. Giant selection and great pricing. I want the management to know that they are great and when I finish this, I am going to call him and tell him how much we love his store. Crazy inventory, but really nice people and deals that are crazy. My wife purchased 2 lbs of shredded cheddar cheese for 2 dollars. How do you beat that. Sometimes the bulk size of the deal is enormous. We have a great freezer and it is full of great food from Grocery Outlet! If you don't shop there, you are wasting your money. One of my favorite "G.O.'s"! They have a massive section dedicated to natural and organic living. I always find the best deals here and they're always bringing in something new. From supplements, grain free dog food, organic beauty products, even gluten free pizzas. Super friendly employees too. Grocery outlet iz a discount grocery store. That gets stuff about to go out of date and freezes it so it doeznt go bad. Then sells it. I like it cause of the cheap beer snd sausages. It also has produce and band aides. When im in northern Calif above Ukiah these stores help me save money. If i shopped at Safeway all the time i would go broke. read more

stopped by here during a brief stay in ukiah over labor day weekend. like most grocery outlets, check expiration dates before purchasing. that said, this is the most organized and clean grocery outlet i've been to. the organics section is easily marked and i was so happy to score bags of annie's bunny grahams for $1 per bag. lots of "whole foods" brands in this section for a fraction of the price. so glad we stopped in. read more

It's fun to stop in every now and again. You can find some healthy, organic, vegan items. I've found great deals on Soy Milk and Earth Balance Butter. Sometimes I've gotten some organic salad. It's a hit and miss. It's never crowded, really. It's well stocked. Kinda old school. read more
