Our faith in this facility has been rewarded tenfold. Whether in day care or boarding we can leave our dog and have full confidence that he will receive top quality care. His excitement on the route to day care is palpable--he can't wait to arrive and play with his friends. More importantly, the staff is nearly as excited to see him. She did the exam in front of us; she offered to take him to the back room but thought he might do better where he could see us. She administered 2 shots/vaccines and gave him a thorough exam plus the lab work and check for worms. We had asked about how to handle his matted hair on his ears since he won't let us near them to clip them out. She took out clippers and very patiently shaved them out, took a look at his toenails and had her assistant clip the ones that I hadn't kept short enough. The hair/nails were at no extra charge, yet she spent an extra 20 minutes to do this. If Rudy were ever seriously ill, this is the vet I would want. The clinic itself was quick to see us yet spent their time with us once we got back to have the exam. We knew the price up front which was reasonable and there were no extra charges even though we had them do quite a few extras. We could not be happier with our experience. Seriously, Kristin Brooks was the best we have ever had, and her assistant was great also. Unfortunately, we did not get her name.

The facility was built with dogs in mind...before it was A Walk In The Park, the building was the home of the Toledo Area Humane Society. The building is more than large enough, and the yard is even bigger. The staff is awesome...just plain awesome. You can tell that every single person working here really loves dogs, and the dogs, at least my dog, seems to love all of them. We recently left our puppy here when we weren't able to take him with us on vacation. My wife, who still does Facebook (LOL), logged in daily to see videos and pix of the pack including our boy, so she and the kids (and me too, I guess) felt connected. When we got home and went to pick him up, he was happy to see all four of us, but he didn't want to leave...I guess dogs really are pack animals. We also utilize doggie daycare a couple time per week. As far as pet safety goes, and I might not have this exactly right, but I think the dogs are grouped by age and size. That is, the large breed puppies are kept together, and the small breed puppies are keep together. The large breed adults are kept together...etc. In other words, you don't have to worry about your chihuahua pup getting eaten by a Doberman. Great business, and great location. Five stars.

I find this process a two way information gathering session. It was very important to me to delve into the services provided and meeting staff members. The facility is very clean, bright and set up with maximum dog friendly play areas. Fast forward to today, Toby is eager to attend daycare once a week, boarding for our vacation activities (VIP suite), bathing session, nails clipped and one on one staff cuddles. Because of Pups, he has become the most social and friendly dog to all dogs and people. The staff is incredible! I look forward to picking Bodie up and talking to them! I know Bodie is in great care with them. He has stayed over the weekends when I am out of town, and goes during the day when I work! He comes home exhausted in the best way! Additionally, Hannah, the newest addition to the team, is an amazing groomer. She takes such care with all she does, and even sent me pictures of Bodie's first day getting pampered! I could not love this business and staff more! They're amazing!
