They will not refund / credit you if you flight gets cancelled same day. And the credit card company cannot dispute it due to their cancellation policy. Basically, I was told unless I have another flight booked, they will not issue me a credit. Most illogical thing ever. And lady on the phone was rude, ghetto, and unhelpful. Basically, steal money from customer who can't help the fact their flight gets cancelled, $110 lost to no service provided. Take an alternative service - they're unreliable. Here is the cancellation policy - How do I cancel my reservation? You must cancel or change your reservation by 11:59pm the day before your travel date. No refunds will be issued. If you need to cancel, you will be issued a credit for use on future travel within the next year. The travel credit is valid for one year from its issue date (the date of the original cancellation). Travel must be rebooked by the expiration date (one year from its issue date). The travel does not need to occur by the expiration date. Credit will not be issued if cancelling after 11:59pm the day before your travel date. Same-day reservations are not eligible for credit if cancelled. read more

VERY BAD AND UNRELIABLE SERVICE!!! Here is the background: I booked two tickets for a trip from Atlanta to Chattanooga on 05/24/2023. On the day, the bus was scheduled to depart at 7:15 AM. My group arrived at the designated spot at 6:50 AM, well ahead of the departure time. However, to our surprise, the bus did not show up until 7:40 AM. During this extended waiting period, I had to urgently use the airport restroom. Unfortunately, while I was inside, the bus arrived and, according to my friend who was still waiting at the spot, the driver refused to wait for us and departed, even though I was merely 3 feet away from the bus, and shouting loudly behind that "I am here!". Later, I called the office to express my frustration and seek a resolution. However, the customer service representative refused to offer any form of refund for the inconvenience caused, saying that the management decided that the bus driver arrived on time and is of no obligation to my loss. I have outlined all the problems in this chaotic process below. These can all be checked by the airport surveillance videos, recorded customer service conversations, and the payment records: 1. The bus did not arrive on time, which clearly violates the rules set forth by the company. It is unjustifiable for anyone to retain customers' payment for a service that was not provided as agreed upon. 2. When I contacted the customer service, I was shocked to hear that the bus supposedly arrived on time and thus bore no responsibility for my loss. Again, how could you outright lie when the surveillance footage can clearly prove the bus was late? Additionally, there are airport staff who were witnesses to the entire incident. 3. There payment system is highly questionable. They request tips during the reservation process. Although I had reservations about making an upfront payment without experiencing the quality of their service, I still decided to tip 20% of the bus fare due to my understanding of the demanding nature of the profession from my previous work experiences with many long-haul drivers internationally. However, the quality of service I received fell far below the minimum expectations. At the very least, they should refund me for the tipping portion of my payment. I have to post my experiences here! Honestly this place is just hit or miss for me. The first couple of times I used it was a good experience but the last few times have been awful. Today we had a scheduled drop off to ATL airport for 2:30 but was called at 1:00 that the driver called out sick. Which the company can not help but they asked if we could get there at 1:30 which we did but the driver couldn't leave because they needed some items they have to take while they drive. We ended up leaving 35 minutes after the scheduled 1:30 take off time. read more

Wish I could have given no STARS. Poor service! Left me at the ATL airport at 12:31am and I had to wait until 5:30am for next shuttle. WTF!!! Suttle left at 12:31 (confirmed by Groome employe) just as I was walking out the door at 12:32. No text, or call?!? Why ask for my phone number or flight info if you really don't give a shit. Called office and I was told it was my fault for not alerting them. Even though employee insisted it was written in agreement, it's not. Then he said, call me back at 12:55, I'll try to work something out for you. The POS left and didn't tell the next person anything. I'll be calling my cc company for a refund of the tip they ask for up front. The shitty service they gave, I should get a refund for the return trip as they did not provide the service they agreed to. I waited at the pickup location 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time back to Warner Robins. Shuttle after shuttle came and went, not a SINGLE shuttle had the words "Warner Robins" or even "Byron" on them ANYWHERE. Assuming they were simply late due to traffic (as another Groome driver told me he was late by 30 minutes for his own route), i waited until 30 minutes past my scheduled departure time to call and simply and respectfully ask for an update on when the WR shuttle would arrive. I was dismissively told that the shuttle had already came and went, making me as absent. I asked for clarity, and was told that the shuttle marked "Macon/ Warner Robins" had already come and went... I again asked for clarity and explained that no shuttle of that description had arrived, as the only shuttle heading south was Macon (again, NO markings, signs, or announcements stating they were on the way to Warner Robins). The associate argued with me for 10 minutes as I explained to her that there had not been a shuttle to Warner Robins. The associate was INCREDIBLY rude, refused to help, and I was forced to wait for another shuttle 2 hours after my original schedule. The kicker is, as I write this review on my new shuttle, 4 OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS SHUTTLE WERE ORIGINALLY SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE EARLIER ONE. Not a single shuttle said Warner Robins on it, and the driver just decided to leave without 5 of their passengers. No announcement, no contact, no indications of which shuttle to take. I take Groome often, as my work sends me to the airport quite a bit throughout the year, but that stops now. After the treatment i received, after the lack of professionalism, after the lack of care, I will never use this service again. And I strongly recommend that others find a different way to travel. Horrendous experience, horrible customer service, and pitiful organization. read more

If anyone in the WR/Macon area ever use the Groome Transportation- don't. They just stranded my 81 year old mom at the Atlanta airport at night, alone. I booked and prepaid her ride from Atlanta to WR yesterday, gave them her flight information and received a confirmation number. Her flight landed and they could not get to the arrival gate due to another flight occupying her gate. She then waited for Groome when she deplaned, no Groome. She called them and they told her, sorry, not enough drivers. They did not notify me and my mom is now in Atlanta alone. read more

You suck. Waited HOURS in the middle of the night with a confirmed reservation but "the bus is full"

I have used Groome Transportation quite a few times while making the trip from Macon to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. While the cars are in an open parking lot, the worst storms in the area involve heavy rain, so it's not something that should really be of any concern. Since there are no reservations, you simply need to show up a little early to make sure you get a spot. I have arrived a couple of times only ten minutes early and had no trouble getting a seat. Of all the times I have used the service, I have never been unable to find a seat. They also have many vans to use, should one van be full. Generally when I have used the service, I was dropped off or picked up at the Macon location, so I can't vouch for leaving my car there. That said, I don't really have any complaints about the service. Just remember that there are often traffic delays going into and out of Atlanta, so make sure you pick a shuttle time that leaves room for unintended delays that are out of their control. read more

If you're looking for safe & easy transportation from the Middle GA area to the Atlanta Airport, then Groome is for you! The office on Watson is the main pickup in Warner Robins; just park your car, pay for your ticket and hop on the van. Although the van does stop at the Macon office where you change to another van, it's not too much of an inconvenience. Sometimes I wish Groome went direct from Warner Robins to Atlanta, but I understand they don't have the business to support that model just yet. In any event, Groome rarely let's me down! I've been a loyal Groome customer for awhile but that ended tonight. I booked a trip from the Atlanta airport that left the airport at 8:30 pm (for a flight that arrived at 7:45) with my destination being Warner Robins. I was not informed that the Warner Robins office closes as early as it does. Moreover, the driver dropped me off, unloaded my luggage and LEFT with me standing outside a closed, locked building waiting on my Uber. As a single female i find this unacceptable. I should not have been allowed to book a fare to Warner Robins only to be dumped out alone. read more

Terrible service. I made a reservation on 30 May for the 31 May shuttle. At 0555, on 31 May, they called to tell me my ride was cancelled. They asked if I could be at their office in 5 minutes to catch the 0600 shuttle...really!?!?! They gave me 5 minutes to drive across town after they cancelled my reservation. I was told to drive to Macon to catch the 0700. We did and made the ride after a huge inconvenience. No one from the company offered an apology for their poor planning, noir a rebate or even a discount. I do not recommend Groome due to the unpredictability of their schedules. read more

Definitely the most efficient way to get to Hartsfield. If you're traveling from Macon or Warner Robins, it's $40.

The place has it's benefits, A round trip to Hartsfield for around 40 or 50 bucks. Did I say benefits? I meant that's it's single attribute. The place where you leave you car is uncovered and subject to whatever storm that might roll through Macon. There aren't any reservations that can be made, so there's no telling how early you might have to show up to fit into their 9 passenger vans, especially on holidays where people will be lining up to use their services. My suggestion is to use one of the car park services near Atlanta if you won't be away for too long as you'll probably end up saving money and have the ability to drive home at your own pace. read more

I can't count the number of times that I've taken Groome Transportation between ATL and middle Georgia. Even though there are few other choices to get to/from the airport, I am satisfied with what we've got. There are no appointments necessary and you can purchase your ticket right before you get on the van. It's nice not to have to make plans in case you or your plane are running late. You can leave your car in the WR or Macon parking lot free of charge for as long as you need (the WR lot is shared with a shopping plaza so I choose not to; the Macon lot is specifically for Groome customers so that feels ok to me). I feel the tickets themselves are a little pricey ($63 roundtrip Macon; $66 roundtrip WR) though I have no means of comparison. The buses run frequently, start early, and end late. I usually arrive to ATL well before the scheduled time but I never feel the drivers are racing like the New York Chinatown buses. They are very friendly (don't forget to tip!). In my experiences, the vans are usually empty. On some occasions, they do fill up, especially leaving from ATL. In these cases, there is always a backup van. I've never had to be on the backup van, but a driver told me that it usually arrives in 10 minutes or less. If you're traveling from ATL on a high-traffic holiday, maybe you can avoid this by waiting next to their stop rather than wandering around the outdoor plaza. We had a fabulous experience with Groome. Very friendly, punctual, safe and sooooo easy! Much better than maneuvering through traffic myself after a long flight. You do need to make reservations; however, they allow others to use the service if room permits. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family and will be using them again in the near future. read more

If I could give them no stars, I would!! The drivers were great. However when we arrived at Groom at 5:45 am on April 25,2016, the lady at the front desk was EXTREMLY RUDE!!!! To the point I may never use Groom again since it is cheaper to park at the airport. The lady told us that we had to book reservations online to "save our seat", I mentioned to her that NO WHERE on the website does it mention this. She cut me off, rolled her eyes (again) and said as of November 2015 it was policy. She acted like she did us a huge favor by doing her job and checking us out to get on the bus. They will get you to and from the airport, but don't expect to be wowed by their customer experience skills. I've encountered more rude drivers than not. Likewise, if you allow them to get away with it, they will over stuff the van and cram the seats beyond what they are designed to hold. Many times I've witnessed them doing this and having people nearly sitting on one another, when there were plenty of other vans and drivers. No sheltered parking for your vehicle either. I use them only when I absolutely HAVE to. I'd rather pay a little extra and take the flight out of Macon to Atlanta. read more
