We ended up having to call the cops because the owner refused to show us our dog was okay, even after we told her we suspected abuse/neglect, and she even tried to refuse to release the dogs to the cops. I now have to take my dog to the vet for a physical examination to make sure she wasn't abused. Less importantly, she got a bath before we brought her in, and now smells like rotten sewage.

There are way too many alternative places to shop to be harassed while shopping. She acted like she was putting things away, everywhere I went. It's an age old trick. If I wanted to steal something I would send in a white person who would get away with stealing everything but the animals--per a white woman I know who had walked out of stores with racks of items because the store employees are too busy watching Black people to watch her. They probably have to do this duty at some point before close but they took a long time and were in my way, spent the whole time talking loud about random things. Touching the cans seems like a one person job Especially in already overcrowded aisles. The customer service was nonexistent.
