If i could give this store a zero I absolutely would. Our experience here has been down right disrespectful. A simple trip for a fish turned into a ridiculous experience. The staff was grossly neglectful to their aquatic section and when inquiring about fish i was told by one of the female employees that "your fish will die but im still going to sell him to you", No questions were asked regarding aquatic care, instead the female employee assisting us decided to spend her time helping us making negative comments toward us, such as the one provided above. Including comments regarding care while I was staring at all the dirty tanks filled with dead fish. Rather than educating your customers, your employees are being disrespectful as well as demeaning and confrontational. They were unable to help with simple questions regarding aquatic care, instead they responded with disgusting comments. I have never seen a staff so untrained in customer service.. When I requested to just get the fish I was inquiring about, the female employee (blonde with tattoos covering both arms, if i had her name I would be putting it), she grabbed into the tank with her bare hands and tried to shake him out of the log he was in. Not only is the staff unable to provide the most basic customer service, they are being neglectful to the pets in their care. All around a incredibly negative experience. I am not making this post to turn around and degrade these people the way they are doing to your customers but to educate the management staff on these horrible experiences, obvious customer service and animal care training is incredibly needed for this staff, it is a shame to have such a place run by such grossly incompetent staff. 0/10 experience. read more

On April 3, 2022 at approximately 2:30pm EST I visited Pet Supply Plus (address and number listed below). I observed a decaying Crested Gecko, for sale, in one of their reptile enclosures. I told a nearby and unknown employee that I wanted to speak to management. The employee called for Alison. I asked Alison about the Crested Gecko and she said her store has had him for 2-3 weeks. I directed her attention to the Crested Gecko at which time she noticed it had been dead for an unknown amount of time. Based on the pictures of the decay it is obvious that the Crested Gecko had been deceased for longer than 1 day. One picture also shows the temperature and humidity gauge of the enclosure. -The humidity level is 20% BELOW the MINIMUM required level which is 50%. -The temperature level is 6-7 degrees HIGHER than the MAXIMUM level which is 80 degrees. I have just experienced my worst experience! Generally a great welcoming place has taken a turn for the worst. I am very disappointed and will be happy to take my business to petco next business trip for my pets! The cashier asked me not to pet the ferret! This I understand. I apologized and mentioned to Katelyn the cashier I have a lot of ferrets to home and do not mind the nibbles. I explained in the past I always had pet them with no problem. Her response is where the service turned sour ! She stated she did not believe I had done that in the past . She bluntly gave me a look as if I was lying to her. I tried to talk about my pets at home and she just said it didn't matter if I had ferrets I couldn't pet them . Mid conversation of my response she walks away. Worst part as she walked away we were actually ready to cash out . My girlfriend took the liberty to speak to her from there . I was ready to walk out leaving all items at the desk. I am livid to be called a liar and then be ignored. Friendly service turned bad do not shop at this location! Extremely disappointed. I took my 35 lb. mixed breed (Lab/Italian Greyhound in for a shampoo. A Lab shampoo is $31 as opposed to $19 for her other half. Naturally they keyholed her as a Lab. No splitting the difference, $31 final answer. Too bad their management/ policy only deals with purebreds and happy to charge for the most expensive half.
