I work out regularly but don't count Adam's GROOV3 class as a workout because it's just so much FUN....

Our daughter absolutely thrives here and has discovered a passion for dance and theater. She started out just doing hip hop, but now she takes ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theater and aerial arts. She has made close, life-long friendships and has an incredible mentor in the owner, Cassandra Daurden whom I admire greatly. The performances are professional and spectacular to watch. I can't even believe the aerial skills and singing voices that come from these kiddos! They are not your everyday kids dance recitals, they are stunning top-notch performances. This is an incredible gem and we are filled with gratitude for this amazing DPAC community.

It is a great space that is clean and well kept. The instructors there are amazing and their love of the arts and kids is shown through all the students and performances. I plan on keeping my daughter here for as long as possible. I enrolled my daughter into two summer camps. I definitely recommend a class here. You will not regret it.

We dance across multiple groups--I used to train in the same class with one of my daughters, my oldest daughter is currently in another group, and my younger one attends every Sunday. We buy a lot of classes here. We were actually planning to buy even more, despite the fact that their system is completely inflexible: there are no memberships, no discounts, and the classes are quite expensive. We stayed because we truly love the instructors and the overall dance level. However, the way they treat parents is absolutely unacceptable. I am beyond frustrated by the fact that I am not allowed to use the restroom while waiting for my child. They have a restroom accessible from the courtyard. I can understand that they don't provide parking spaces for waiting parents, but not letting a parent use the restroom during a 1.5 to 2-hour wait is beyond comprehension. This is the second time I have been practically kicked out of the restroom, treated with such a look as if I were a homeless person off the street. As a paying customer, I find this incredibly rude, humiliating, and disrespectful. This is an absolute failure in customer service.I work as a professional film actress and model, so I have extensive experience visiting high-end studios and various locations worldwide. In most reputable places, parents are welcomed inside; they are provided with a waiting area, Wi-Fi, water, or at least a place to sit. At Playground LA, you aren't even allowed basic human dignity like using the bathroom. For a studio of this caliber, this level of service is wild and completely unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed.

The studios are HUGE and have everything you need - curtains, mirrors, bathrooms/changing areas, chairs, big fans to keep the place cool, audio equipment and anything else you could think of. Bill was very helpful and welcoming, and it's all crazy affordable. Can't wait to come back! Thank you, Studio A Dance, and Happy Fourth of July!

There are two rooms, which is nice, and one has beautiful wooden flooring, which seems well-maintained and makes for a lovely space. I took a beginner ballet class that was amazing. It's probably the first adult ballet class I've taken where the teacher was not just encouraging, but also seemed to take adult dancers seriously. I felt safe with her corrections and she seemed incredibly knowledgeable about the craft. The students in this class were kinder and more laid back than some of the other studios I've tried out so far, so totally loved the beginner ballet class here because it seems to be community-oriented. I'm only knocking off stars because the studio is HOT, and not in a sexy way. I thought I would collapse from the heat inside that room. It wasn't just hot; it was sticky and humid in there, which is not something I have ever experienced before. There are fans in the studio, but they don't do much to help with cooling down the space. Other dancers were just taking off clothes and walking outside to try to catch their breath. It's pretty remarkable how much hotter it gets inside the studio than even the weather outside, so that made me a little nervous about potentially returning during weeks when the weather is above 80-degrees. It's horrendous. I love Ballet and really enjoyed the class I took, but wish there was a way to cool the place down. Not sure how safe it is to do ballet or any form of physical activity there if you are heat-sensitive, so just be warned about that. It's very much an issue, especially during these months when the weather is 90+. That's a liability waiting to happen.
