Thro' a dance friend, we came to Lynn's at 4819 S Tryon last night as there is a Tango Lesson…read morestarting from 7:30 pm followed by social evening. It is a private club for Shaggers requires membership except Monday night. There are plenty of seats and a large bar. Nice large area of wood dancing floor with good atmosphere. The Tango lesson is free on Monday night, however, donation is encouraged due to the overhead has to by paid by the instructor. Daniel is such a nice instructor and we are more than willing to put money into his HAT. We took a flyer showing there are activities every night. Fri & Sat has a cover charge of only $4.00 (My son said that only applies to men, that I do not know where he saw that) A beer is $2,75, a cocktail is about $5.- or $6.- (not sure as I did not pay as my son saw my bf gave $20.- for 2 cocktail and a beer, guess tips was in it) We had a good time. We will definitely go back for more lessons.

In pops Speakeasy Tavern. I'd been by many times but never stopped. It was a bit of a crowd but not too packed and the area is spacious so it didn't feel overwhelming. They had a good music playlist along with several tvs so if you wanted to watch the game you'd have plenty opportunity to do so. Drinks were okay, I had a margarita. I would definitely come back again.

We popped in before a late dinner reservation and I'm so glad we did, because they're only open Friday-Sunday from 5-9 PM--blink and you'll miss it. The vibes are immaculate. Think live music, low lighting, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned... and almost miss your dinner reservations lol.... The staff was beyond friendly, truly made us feel right at home from the second we walked in. We didn't order food since we were heading to dinner, but the chef was so proud of his menu that he brought out a sample of the soup of the night (some kind of green gourmet magic), and wow... it was delicious. We tried three different entrees and each were unique and carefully prepared. I thought the complimentary soup was a great idea and we actually ordered a few bowls because it was so good. They freshly ground after dinner coffee and the deserts hit the spot. Very, very nice.! I personally enjoyed that there was only one family with a child. It was nice to have a quiet dinner, with jazz in the background and nice drinks in a place you can have good conversation over excellent food. Well done.!
