This area is covered in these rocks which are very heavy and big... and the vines seem to thrive in this environment. A Frenchman long ago saw this area and just knew that he could produce wines from grapes grown in this region.

The wine itself is high quality. There aren't a ton of varietals, but what they do they do right. I enjoyed being able to compare different years of the same wine side by side-- it really helps you see the small differences. The tasting room has excellent ambiance, and for those interested there is a large bear statue that makes for a nice photo op. We had a 5 p.m. reservation and were seated right away, which set the tone. The tasting room is well designed with both indoor and outdoor seating, a little chilly for the patio this time, but a great setup for couples or groups of friends. The staff were excellent, breaking down the differences between Bledsoe Family, Doubleback, and Bledsoe McDaniels in a way that actually made sense. As Cab fans in Cabernet country, we expected to go straight red, but the 2025 Elizabeth Chardonnay surprised us, light, crisp, and a great opener. The 2023 Bob Healy Reserve stood out with rich dark fruit, a smooth, structured finish, and just the right touch of oak. Our host added a few extra pours along the way, and with the buy-two-bottles waiver...eight bottles later, tasting was covered. The real win was $20 flat-rate shipping, even to Hawaii, which made it easy to bring Walla Walla home with us.

The view are stunning and so are the tables and the design. We were greeted with some delicious Sav blanc while we waited for Andrea to begin our tour. Andrea was so lovely and told us all about the unique aspects of pepper bridge that set them apart, including a really cool machine that their owner developed! It was unlike any of the previous tours we'd been on. We then went to the library for a private wine and food tasting which was absolutely remarkable. The library is STUNNING! I am gluten free and pescatarian so for my pairings, I had celery salad, fried rice, and deviled eggs. They were all amazing and the portions were generous. We got to pair them with their amazing wines and it was truly delightful. I would come back here in a heartbeat!
