Love this place! We have gone twice now since we moved here for strawberries. We love picking strawberries in this place has huge and very tasty strawberries. We have been coming here for years, however this will be our last visit. The smell was awful. My throat, eyes, and nose burnt and ran the entire day. By the end of the day, I had a terrible headache. As we were leaving I asked about the strange odor and told them about the issues it was causing. They said it was from hemp they were curing in the back. They said they just started farming hemp this year which is why I didn't have issues with the smell other years. It was awful. read more

I wanted to get in the fall spirit, so Husband and I came out to the farm for the night. We loved the corn maze, it was my first time doing one and it was a lot of fun. We walked around the pumpkin patch for a little while, and picked one small white pumpkin to take home. We sipped hot apple cider on the tractor ride around the farm. This really makes you forget you're not that far from the city. I will add this to my list for every year when fall sets in! read more

We took our three year old here along with some friends and their little ones. They have several activities to keep the small ones entertained. The hay ride is included with admission which takes you on a tour of the farm and while you're on the ride you get to experience a pumpkin cannon in action. I found it odd that the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch weren't grown there, they were shipped in on a pallet. Maybe this is because they sold out of their homegrown ones? The prices at this establishment are fairly on the high side. They do make some amazing kettle corn! read more

My in laws and I had an AMAZING time here. And we are all over the age of 15. This is a great for all ages place with amenities like homemade ice cream, a little market from the farm, corn maze, tractor bike races, corn hole and the pumpkin patch. We got their apple cider and ate their fresh corn. We had a really good time and will be going back. read more

The sweet sounds of some dude belting out Kool & The Gang's "Get Down on it" burrowed their way into my brain as we got out of the car at Gross Farms. There was a wall-less moon bounce, homemade ice cream, and a corn maze complete with a friggin' whodunnit!!! We were stoked to help Farm Scene Investigation figure out what happened to Farmer Joe but weren't quite prepared for the heat. Though we gave the maze a fair crack, we did leave a little early. Did we figure out what happened to Farmer Joe? If I told you, that would ruin the fun. Highly recommended once the weather cools down. read more

Went over the weekend for the fall festivities. Pumpkin picking, hayride, playground area, jumping pumpkin, corn maze, & slide. Picking pumpkins was fun, as well as the slide, however the hayride isn't worth the money they charge for it... I would opt out of it all together honestly. .50 cent/pound pumpkins And usually very crowded since it's one of few things around to do like this for kids. read more

We saw the 2 day, Customer Appreciation Sale on Facebook and decided to get some of the buy one get one free strawberries to make jam. By the time we got all the supplies from Walmart and made it to the farm, about 2 pm, they said the sale was over but all the other flats of strawberries were still for sale. They would not honor the supposed buy one get one promotion even they still had plenty of flats that they were still filling as people bought them. Seems to have been a bait and switch. They never announced how many were available on FB nor that they were out of these supposed sale ones. They have blocked those half dozen or so who commented on their displeasure with this on FB and deleted negative, truthful comments. read more

We come every year to pick strawberries and eat their homemade ice cream. The butter pecan ice cream is the best! There's not a lot of parking but we make it work. I wish they had a playground to entertain the kids after picking strawberries is done and you want to sit and relax while they play. They have a couple fun cutouts to take pictures in. 2 yr old friendly, 7 yr old boy friendly and 9 yr old girl friendly plus me and the wife loved it. Something for all of us. Tons of kids stuff for all ages. Good safe fenced open areas. Lots of seating with umbrellas to see all your kids at once. They were busy, we went on a Sunday afternoon but you couldn't tell. They have so much to do the lines were short to non existant for rides or concessions. The staff was over the top kind and caring, teens running the rides and older ones doing checkout and tickets/security. The baby loved the sand area, our son loved the slide and tractors, my daughter loved the corn maze, the wife loved the shopping and me the dad loved the history and farm background they teach. This was our first time and we are going to come back yearly this is a new tradition! It was safe affordable and all the kids had blast. I had to change the toddler and I asked to re enter through the exit only area, the older man working the exit said yes ofcorse come on in. So nice, this will be the highlight of our fall for years to come!!! read more

Myself and some friends wanted to do something outside today and strawberry licking was a great idea! The strawberries i picked were of good size and juicy to taste! Had a great time and definitely can't wait until October to see their corn maze. Prices were good we picked our own buckets for just $10.00! read more

I had to pleasure of going to Gross Farms. Adults and children alike will have fun. They have a bouncy sheet that the kids love. The hay ride was fun. At the end the children get to pick something in season. If you fancy, they even show you how tobacco is harvested. read more

Have been a few times, this time I got to do some strawberry picking with my husband. They were the sweetest most juicy strawberries I've ever had. We also got a few onions, and potatoes when we paid. All nice things, and a great way to spend an hour or more, depending on how many berries you want. Can't wait to keep coming back for more berries, and do pumpkin picking in the later season. read more

Paid $48.15 for the orange combo wrist bands for THREE people and did not even get pumpkins included in the "All" included wrist band. 60 cents a pound for pumpkins. Not counting the $16 dollar wristband you already paid for. Will not be back. read more

October is such an amazing time of year to bring your kids/family out to Gross Farms, especially during their pumpkin patch event. For this being our first visit, we were anticipating maybe a hayride and the ability to bring home a pumpkin or two. We were floored to see all the amazing activities they offered for the kids. Tractor races, hamster wheel races, log swings, jumping grounds, slides, hayrides, corn mazes, live music, pumpkin catapults and all sorts of lunch/snack options with plenty of seating. At the end, get yourself a wheel barrel and pick out your monster pumpkin! :-) Definitely recommend getting there early and do the corn maze first as there are several track options with optional games involved. Very creative "mysteries" and the kids were completely engaged all day. Pure fun! The staff was so friendly and treated everyone very kindly. Cant wait to come back! read more

Gross Farms has a great selection of fruits and vegetables and offers the ability to pick your own strawberries. They are very friendly and knowledgeable people and always have a wide selection of locally grown produce and some imported when not quite in season locally. Their prices are very reasonable and they are always happy to offer cooking advice and preparation ideas. read more

My family and I took my nephew to Gross Farms today. While we were on the playground he kept saying he wanted to go on the tractor. As we were leaving the play area I asked an employee if we needed specific tickets to go onto the hayride. He responded with "no, if you have a purple or orange wristband you're good." We then waited in line for the hayride for about 20 minutes so we could be the first ones on the next ride. As we went to get onto the hayride an employee told us we needed tickets. I told the employee how another employee told us that we didn't need tickets, since we had purple wristbands. Me and my father went to go purchase tickets for the hayride and on the way he stopped and asked to speak to someone in charge. The man was rude to us and told us that the employee who told us we didn't need tickets was new and that he would address the issue at a staff meeting tomorrow and to have a good day. While he was talking to this manager(?) I went and stood in line to get the hayride tickets. Once I reached the window I asked for 3 hayride tickets (when we had already purchased 3 of the purple $8 bands). The woman at the window began to ask me for my receipt even though I was still wearing my band. She then called another man over and I told him all I needed was 3 of the hayride tickets. We ended up just leaving and not purchasing the tickets due to all of the problems that we had today. We will never be coming back and will be sure to not recommend this farm to anyone. The customer service was not how it should be and the employees should be informed on the way things are ran even if it is their "first day." Another thing is that as we were leaving we re-checked the pricing list which also said that they offer a military discount, which no one asked us about either. Hopefully this review will spark a change in the way things are ran at this farm, because that is not good business. read more
