Their excellent Foreman, Jovanny, and his team as well as their talented landscape designer, Elaine, did an incredible job. And Sandy kept on top of our scheduling. Everyone was nice to work with and they are professionals at their jobs. Our landscape project involved completely deconstructing our existing yard, resurfacing it to reduce a sloped hill and adding large boulders, lovely plantings, sod and a flagstone entry path. They also added a gravel path and patio area to be covered in flagstone in the future. The transformation of our yard feels like a completely different space. Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. Nick's guys were on time and professional, and basically spent months with them as they did their work! Would highly recommend Mill Creek Landscapes for your backyard project, big or small.

Boom. Correct. We already had a design from a landscape architect but Nick was able to adjust our rough plans to be even more precise and suitable for the space. His crew was equally conscientious. Further, there will likely be multiple real issues after the job is over like construction damage, slipshod methods, worker trash on the site and other unprofessional contractor results. This put them near the bottom of numerous companies I've worked with. If you want some fairly irresponsible help with landscaping and don't mind paying about twice what other similar companies charge, give them a shot. I would strongly suggest you keep looking for better bids.

Their real talent is pruning and also designing. They (Jason) pruned two of our Japanese Maples and they are both still beautiful. They are show stoppers! I will have them back to do pruning but have to find a cheaper alternative for weeding. They are all really nice, fun guys and I think very creative.

Heads up....do not use Jason Kibbey of Kibbey Landscape Design…read more During the Spring of 2020 we reached out to a number of landscapers to revamp our backyard. The project scope included a small hardscape patio, a small retaining wall so that the lawn area would be level, some fresh soil and plants to supplement what already existing. As we were getting ready to rent out the house, we needed this work to be completed quickly and with the minimal expense possible. We ended up selecting Jason Kibbey of Kibbey Design to prepare a sketch and submit a bid offer. Initially, at our on-site meeting Jason was very forthcoming and offered several great suggestions. A sketch was prepared and we asked that he prepare a bid. Our experience went downhill from there. There were long periods where we did not hear back from Jason and email messages where not returned. Eventually we received his bid of over $50,000 to complete this work and a multi-page contract document that was full of errors which we had to point out to him. One such error in Jason's contact document included his expired L&I insurance information. As Jason's bid broke our budget, we found someone else to do the hardscape work for a fraction of what Jason had offered. We set up an on-site meeting with both contractors where we explained the scope of work for each party and encouraged that they work together to coordinate the project schedule. Jason was amenable to this arraignment but soon was again not responsive to our phone and emails as well as the attempts by the other contractor to coordinate the project schedule. At one point, he and his crew showed up install the plant material (without speaking to us or the other contractor) and within an hour left stating that he could not install the landscaping with the hardscape still being installed. Again, his lack of communication. Once the hardscape was completed, we informed Jason and he brought his crew over to complete the installation of the landscape. Soils were not properly amended, landscape material that was to remain was relocated, and existing plant material that was not to be used was placed into the landscape. This I believe was done because Jason underestimated the quantity of landscape needed for this project. Finally, there was no final walk-through with Jason, no phone call, no email....he just left the job site and sent the invoice. In summary, I cannot recommend Jason Kibbey for any landscape residential projects. We found him to be very expensive, non-responsive to our phone and email attempts to contact him, he did not work well with the other contractor, and he did not follow planting instructions.
