I originally sought to hire a roofing contractor via Yelp and sent a quote request to several companies at once. Edy responded within an hour of my posting and via messaging I shared pics of my roof, my budgetary situation and timeline. Edy acknowledged my concerns and met me at my property to better understand and communicate the reality of my roofing situation. Edy proceeded to share his findings (a roof layered with two layers of heavy asphalt shingles) and his professional advice and hesitation to lay a metal roof over the existing shingles, although doable, at this stage considering the amount of weight already bearing down onto the property's structure. His honesty and hesitancy to complete this job to merely satisfy the customer and collect a financial sum spoke volumes. He offered and I accepted, free of charge, a detailed breakdown of all material needed to complete a metal roofing project and after much negotiation with Edy, addressing the labor costs and trash removal, allowed me to better understand the magnitude of a roofing job. After some thought and citing the fact that he set an honest tone from the onset, I hired him understanding that other unforeseen structural issues could arise and upon their first day on the job site with his crew totaling 4, he in fact discovered a foam barrier placed upon the frame acting as an insulator (I have an a-frame home). Edy and I worked through the issue which resulted in additional materials and labor costs, but after detailed removal of the shingles and meticulously installing the metal sheets over insulation via wood slats, the project was completed beautifully and professionally. Edy and his crew were very detail oriented, respectful, courteous and friendly. Since they had all the tools with them, I said that I'm fine with the repair. They were quick, efficient with extremely competitive prices. When I bought my house a few years ago, I knew it came with a huge yard, but did not know it came…read morewith an annual mosquito problem that would cause not only lots of itching, but prevent me from using my yard for most of the summer. I got quotes from a few places, and ended up signing up for regular service with TruGreen. They come weekly during the mosquito season, virtually eliminating the problem. They also spray (outside) for spiders which is a great bonus as my house has PLENTY. Their service is reliable, and I always get a text letting me know when the driver is on the way and when they are finished with the job. Their prices are a little high, although they do give discounts if you subscribe for multiple treatments and/or different service levels, or if you pay all in advance rather than monthly. At some point I'd love to sign up for extra services to make my lawn beautiful, but for now I'm very happy with the mosquito spraying so I can enjoy my yard again!
