I've had three geothermal systems installed by Ground Source since 2010, and they have all been working wonderfully. There has been occasional maintenance items needed, and one of my systems is installed at a telecommunication site, which when it has issues, it becomes critical. I like how I can call the office and tell them it's an emergency and they will juggle scheduling around to get a technician out right away to take care of the critical site and if I have a normal or less urgent issue, it can be scheduled normally. Their rates are very reasonable and in line with other HVAC maintenance staff I have at other locations across the Midwest. When they did the very first install, they came out and explained everything to me and also included things in my new construction build like the "fart fan" which still cracks me up that, that's what they call it, which is an exhaust fan for the bathrooms and even thought about and recommended where I needed to put bracing and other things during my build in preparation for the ductwork that I hadn't even thought about. I can recommend many other ways to spend your money. Perhaps a new pickup truck. If this company sold pickups, be ready to find out it didnt come with keys. It may be a few months before you can drive it and if it breaks its your fault for putting gas into it. I wanted to support a small business but they took my check, installed ducts in terrible spots then said it'd be good if i insulated where they cut into the attic.... What? They got me to install things they should have, to run all the water and electric even if the panel was 10 feet away. Couple hundred more. Then a fuse breaks while fixing their screw-up and i get lied to about warranty and a cheap fuse costs another 163. My distaste for the bait and switch is monumental. I also had a worker break back into my place because he left his drill. He therefore locked me out, but the company didnt think it was at all out of line. read more
