I love coming back here. This is a cute and cozy coffee shop located in a shopping plaza. If you decide to bring your laptop to work, they have outlets along the wall and wifi password. They have a lot of options for treats and snacks. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Our family had a pleasant coffee experience at this coffee shop yesterday. It was our first time to visit Ground Up. The location was convenient off of S. Kipling & W. Belleview on the SW side of Denver in Littleton, there was enough free parking for this business and strip mall, the shop was nicely decorated on the inside and outside, we were welcomed upon entering, there was a surprising amount of wooden chairs and tables available inside, a few comfy chairs and sitting area near the front window, and a long-table with several bar-stools and power outlets near the front window on the other side, several small tables with chairs outside the shop, no music was playing for some reason, the employee who took our order was friendly & knowledgeable, there was the full menu nicely and clearly displayed on the wall above the front ordering counter (reasonable prices), they had several good, delicious choices for lunch (my burrito was tasty but a bit small, and my family had delicious crepe's), service was solid and friendly, the dining room and restrooms were clean and did not smell at all, lighting was good, not sure if there was free WiFi, they had a cute little table off to the right side of the front counter with half-n-half, sugar, Stevia, stirrers, water, and small cups. read more

What a great place to get fresh, made to order, crepes! A friend and I recently visited Ground Up Coffee to try their crepes and drinks. Walking up to the shop, we noticed 2 tables with some chairs underneath 2 oversized umbrellas. While deciding what types of crepes we should try, the savory ground up favorite caught my attention while my friend decided to go with the sweet strawberry & cream. We also got a drink to go with our crepes. Mine was the tradition Thai iced tea; a latte was what my friend chose. While we were waiting for our orders, I noticed the person behind the counter started to make my crepe. First, she poured the flour mixture to make the outer layer, a thinly base to start. As it started to cook, an egg was added and spreads over the mixture. Once that is cooked, she started to add a red sauce, then grounded sausage, bacon, potatoes, and then the cheese. The entire process took about 5 minutes. In the meantime, as she was waiting for the savory crepe to complete, she was preparing the strawberry & cream crepe. The outer shell of the crepe was already made, she cut and added the sweet strawberries, the whipped cream, and the strawberry sauce was drizzled on top of the delectable dessert. We decided to split our crepes so that we can savored the moment, and boy, both crepes were delicious in their own way. Having the saltiness from the ground up favorite, and then sweet strawberry & cream right afterwards was a heavenly eating experience. My Thai iced tea was very good. Not overly sweet, and it hit the spot after eating the crepes. If you are in the area and looking for a uniquely eating experience, I would stop by Ground Up Coffee Cafe for both food and drinks. read more

I am so so glad that yelp got me to check this place out. The staff is lovely and the food was incredible. I had a delicious bacon breakfast burrito and my husband had one of the savory crepes with green chile. My vanilla soy latte was perfect, tasty perfectly foamed milk. And the drip coffee was so delicious you didn't even have to add milk or cream to it. The ambience is cute and welcoming and again I just can't say enough about how great the staff was. What also drew us here was that it opens at 6am! Which was exactly what we needed as my husband had an early work meeting. This is a must try place, highly recommend. read more

My daughter and I stopped in on a Saturday on the way to gymnastics. The service is incredibly friendly and the community engagement is warm like a small mountain town vibe. I enjoyed the sausage breakfast burrito and iced vanilla latte. The IVL reminded me of the consistency of a boba tea drink at first which was a new take on an IVL and I quite enjoyed it. Saturday mid morning stop for a crepe and it didn't disappoint. Busy but not bad, this place sits right next to a Safeway and has 4 small tables out front but a good amount inside. The peach cobbler crepe was fantastic, sweet but not over done. The latte was mild and perfect. Although coffee is the focus, indoor & outdoor seating, baked goods and simple meals like breakfast burritos and elk or bison chili (warmed in the microwave) make it easy to just stay here for a bite and take time for another coffee. The menu is well, not really a menu. They don't offer much for fancy drinks. Or at least we didn't see a listing for them. We wanted tea so I got the London fog and my guy got the chia tea. I believe he enjoyed his chai. My London fog just tasted like English breakfast with some milk. I'm used to the sweet vanilla flavor and a foamed milk on top. This was not it. They did offer oatmilk which was nice since we don't steal from baby cows. Not impressed but didn't hate it either. Neutral score for this visit. read more

Very cheerful and welcoming cafe with vintage and unique tables and decor. If you need your Kaladi fix, there's a nice cooler with plenty of bags to go. Then there are the small bites of pastries and goodies. Everything looked delicious and fresh. The owner was very friendly and her love for her business and coffee were evident. She was so patient while I walked all around the shop. Every bit of that place intrigued me from the mismatched chairs/ tables, to the intercontinental coffees offered, pastries, and menus. Upon further inquiry, we ordered the winter wonderland chai latte. It was so fresh, spicy, made with extra extra whip. Maybe she was trying to sweeten us up, maybe she just knows how to make darn good Chai. There is so much more to this shop that I am failing to mention, but over time I'm sure I'll get it right. This is a cute coffee shop in the Safeway shopping center. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is laid back.

Customer service can make or break a place for me. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to try the food at Ground Up Coffee Cafe, and here's why. My 75 year old mother-in-law used to work at the Safeway next door. She would grab coffee and sit in their outdoor seating area in the mornings, until one morning when she was scolded by the owner for sitting on her chairs, even though she was a paying customer. The owner came to her own conclusions and lost the business of 3 coffeholics. Atlas Coffee off of Ken Caryl and Simms to the south, or the Bardo Coffee House off of Wadsworth and Girton are two wonderful options. read more
