Coffee fixin's table.
Craig K.

Our family had a pleasant coffee experience at this coffee shop yesterday. It was our first time to visit Ground Up. The location was convenient off of S. Kipling & W. Belleview on the SW side of Denver in Littleton, there was enough free parking for this business and strip mall, the shop was nicely decorated on the inside and outside, we were welcomed upon entering, there was a surprising amount of wooden chairs and tables available inside, a few comfy chairs and sitting area near the front window, and a long-table with several bar-stools and power outlets near the front window on the other side, several small tables with chairs outside the shop, no music was playing for some reason, the employee who took our order was friendly & knowledgeable, there was the full menu nicely and clearly displayed on the wall above the front ordering counter (reasonable prices), they had several good, delicious choices for lunch (my burrito was tasty but a bit small, and my family had delicious crepe's), service was solid and friendly, the dining room and restrooms were clean and did not smell at all, lighting was good, not sure if there was free WiFi, they had a cute little table off to the right side of the front counter with half-n-half, sugar, Stevia, stirrers, water, and small cups.

What a great place to get fresh, made to order, crepes! A friend and I recently visited Ground Up Coffee to try their crepes and drinks. Walking up to the shop, we noticed 2 tables with some chairs underneath 2 oversized umbrellas. While deciding what types of crepes we should try, the savory ground up favorite caught my attention while my friend decided to go with the sweet strawberry & cream. We also got a drink to go with our crepes. Mine was the tradition Thai iced tea; a latte was what my friend chose. While we were waiting for our orders, I noticed the person behind the counter started to make my crepe. First, she poured the flour mixture to make the outer layer, a thinly base to start. As it started to cook, an egg was added and spreads over the mixture. Once that is cooked, she started to add a red sauce, then grounded sausage, bacon, potatoes, and then the cheese. The entire process took about 5 minutes. In the meantime, as she was waiting for the savory crepe to complete, she was preparing the strawberry & cream crepe. The outer shell of the crepe was already made, she cut and added the sweet strawberries, the whipped cream, and the strawberry sauce was drizzled on top of the delectable dessert. We decided to split our crepes so that we can savored the moment, and boy, both crepes were delicious in their own way. Having the saltiness from the ground up favorite, and then sweet strawberry & cream right afterwards was a heavenly eating experience. My Thai iced tea was very good. Not overly sweet, and it hit the spot after eating the crepes. If you are in the area and looking for a uniquely eating experience, I would stop by Ground Up Coffee Cafe for both food and drinks.

Sausage breakfast burrito (with hot sauce)

My daughter and I stopped in on a Saturday on the way to gymnastics. The service is incredibly friendly and the community engagement is warm like a small mountain town vibe. I enjoyed the sausage breakfast burrito and iced vanilla latte. The IVL reminded me of the consistency of a boba tea drink at first which was a new take on an IVL and I quite enjoyed it. My daughter loved the cake pops and especially the sprinkles atop her iced vanilla steamer. A sweet surprise!

Pistachio White Mocha & Tiramisu Latte

My friend just moved to Littleton, so trying some of the new local spots! Today we got two specialty coffees - pistachio white mocha and tiramisu latte. They were both good and something we'd order again. We also felt the price ($14) for 2 medium specialty drinks was reasonable! They have a bunch of drinks, treats, and other food items we'll have to return to try.

Saturday mid morning stop for a crepe and it didn't disappoint. Busy but not bad, this place sits right next to a Safeway and has 4 small tables out front but a good amount inside. The peach cobbler crepe was fantastic, sweet but not over done. The latte was mild and perfect. Next time a savory crepe is for sure calling my name and you can make your own or choose from their recommended offerings. They have chai, matcha and lemonades as well.

I love finding new coffee spots. Especially ones that offer such a variety, and from my understanding most, if not everything is made in house. Whether you like iced or hot, or whether you have a sweet or savory tooth, they really have something for everyone. Friendly staff! And to my surprise they have a bunch of tables for people to work, study or just savor their purchase! I have my eye on a few drinks, so I'll definitely be coming again!

This is a cozy coffee shop that offers a variety of food and drinks. They have a few unique cakes that I will have to come back to try. The latte was very good and the Lox Crepes were delicious!! It wasn't as crowded when I was there so the food and drink came out fast. Highly recommend!

It's a convenient location! I can get groceries from Safeway, and then I get a cup of coffee at Ground Up. Nice, clean coffee shop.

As I walked in around 4 pm with family, we were the only ones in and then as the day progressed, more people came in for an early dinner! Clean, little rustic looking, Walls filled with fun graphics, kind staff, fun looking bathroom signs (women's) is how I will describe this restaurant. We ordered tacos - al pastor, carne asada, chicken, shredded beef, Adobada (pork without pineapple) and smothered marinated pork Burrito. Loved all the dishes and the clear winner for us was the Adobada meat (marinated pork). Every single bite was flavorful, juicy and tender. The seasoning was just right without it being overpowering. Both the Tacos and the gooey Burrito were filled with lots of meat - honestly, it was simple and satisfying without it being too greasy. Pricing was very affordable for the food portions and the food quality you get here. This is definitely an authentic spot you want to visit whenever you are in the mood to eat Mexican food - simple high quality food. Highly recommended and a spot I will always return to whenever I visit Denver next time.

The pickled onions, radishes, and even carrots are a great addition to any dish on top of their lineup of home made hot sauces. The pico is my favorite, but the Selene sauce is also worthy of mentioning

I'm used to this store being open early (8 am) so this morning, when I walked in at 8:30 and I was kind of in my own head thinking about what kind of nice steaks I would like to buy for my son's birthday, I was abruptly yelled at and told to go away because the store was not open. It was so shocking and so rude. I thought the person was joking. I said you're joking right and she goes, "No, I'm not joking! We're closed! " Even though the doors were wide open, I guess they were open for employees coming in. I was ready to spend several hundred dollars, but instead I walked to my car and placed an online order from Snake River Farms. I got $25 off and two day delivery so I'm thrilled. It might be a while until I go back to Tonys. It's OK that the store was closed. I just wish the employee had used better tact.

As such, you get great cuts of meat, house-made sausages, bacon, pre-made meals, and roasts, etc. This fish selection is strong, and they have an excellent deli. That said, given they are a small independent shop, you will pay more for some staples, and you will pay more for higher quality items; you won't have the same selection of produce as a 60,000 sqft grocery chain. All of this, though, is fairly obvious when you walk in. Tony's is focused on quality over quantity.
