Ruben, the owner, is *incredibly* kind, respectful, and fair. I have a very hard time believing that he or anyone who works for him would have behaved in the way described in that review. Hopefully it's just a case of reviewing the wrong company, but it's unfortunate that it's the ONLY review (before mine) and it's so negative. Because our experience with them was wonderful. We recently had some deck work done, including some under-deck waterproofing on a 2nd level deck and an roof over half of the upper deck. We needed to come up with a solution to handle the downspout from the roof up top, install a gutter for the underdecking, and we were hopeful that we could find a way to merge the two lines while avoid flooding our back yard. Ruben came for a quote/consultation and helped us come up with a great solution for both water sources to join together in a funnel and then drain down into a PVC pipe that ran underground and out of our yard (not into anyone else's yard, don't worry!). We chose the colors for both sections of the gutter, he ordered the material, and told us that we are not expected to pay anything until the work is complete and we confirm that we are satisfied. He was extremely generous in this respect and was very clear that if there was anything we weren't sure about or didn't like, they would fix it on the spot before any money changed hands. When it came time to do the work, Ruben and one other gentleman showed up at 8am sharp and got to work right away. They completed the job quickly, and even managed to fit in a cleaning of that upper deck roof mentioned before (for an extra charge, but of course, because it's additional work and it required them to spend a lot of time on very high ladders - we were happy to pay). To top it off, while they were here, a *different* company was here to clean the gutters on our home. They didn't have sufficient equipment, so they had to leave the job about half-done. Fortunately they didn't charge us, but they talked to Ruben and it turns out Ruben *does* have the right equipment, so he's going to come back to finish the job that other company couldn't, and the charge for coming back is extremely fair. And, honestly, he's just SO friendly. If you need gutter work done, I absolutely recommend giving MS Timber a chance. At LEAST have Ruben come out to give you a quote so you can see what I mean. What a great guy. He'll be the first person we call in the future for any gutter needs.

Both these rooms were taken down to the studs. Your men rebuilt the walls crooked, even the corners. How can you say you would have fixed that if we didn't fire you?? You said they looked good to you! Fix the drywall with what, a little spackle again or mud here and there, like the spackle smears your man did to hide the the damaged doors?? Then apply a little paint over the tape again? The drywall seams are pulling and curling, even worse now than when I took these pictures months ago. It needs to be redone. Stop pretending you know how to do the work. Our drywall is NOT level 4, which is what we paid for. You pretended the drywall was done. Pay me now you demanded. You pretended your workers applied 2 coats of paint. Pay me now you demanded. But everyone that sees our house is shocked that you claim it has level 4 drywall or adequate paint. The truth is you ran out of money and couldn't do the work properly. Every area your workers entered was damaged. I have the photos and video to prove it. Demanding payment immediately, so we paid but there are NOT 2 coats of paint. You damaged our wood floors by demoing without protecting them, then blamed us for the damage. Shall I post the proof of this?? You accused us of mopping and damaging a floor. You damaged one of a kind solid wood doors with tools, smearing SPACKLE to hide the dings your "unequipped" worker made (your adjective not mine). You let the "unequipped" one paint the ceiling without any hallway wall protection letting paint go down the walls. You damaged the downstairs hallway, millwork, and then blamed us for it. Your workers smeared paint down the walls and over doors. Next time show up and supervise your workers. Do not come to a homeowners house at 7am demanding an unannounced walk thru and yelling at them in front of their small children like you did to us because we have to go to work. And stop writing threatening emails, texts demands for payments at 4am. I suggest you take responsibility for the harm you have caused our family by damaging our property. If you do not remove the lies in your response to my review, I will consider further appropriate legal action.

Have always found his work to be excellent, thorough and completed in a timely manner. If the proposed project is not something he does personally, like plumbing, he has competent and licensed people he hires. He gets the required permits for projects and is upfront about where there may be issues that are not readily apparent. He is friendly and willing to discuss projects to find the best way, and sometimes cost saving ways, to do the work.

Refresh Renovations did a GREAT job bringing our guest bedroom back from the dead. We had a pipe…read moreburst in mid-January, which flooded the downstairs guest bedroom AND the landing connecting the stairs leading up to the main floor. We didn't rush the repairs, because EVERYTHING had to dry out, thoroughly. By summer, we were able to start the recovery, researching and interviewing several companies including Refresh Renovations whose bid was on the lower end. It took about a month, from the initial wreckage removal to the last trim on the walls along the newly-restored and carpeted flooring. The insulation, drywalling, painting, and detailing were meticulously done. The different crews of workers were prompt, courteous, and thorough, and never left a mess behind. I kept thinking about that TV commercial for an interior refurbishing company, showing a badly flooded home that wound up looking "like it never even happened" when the recovery was complete. Refresh Renovations also has a follow-up program to check back in, over the next year, to see how their work has held up. What was not reasonable was that he failed to notify me at any time that he would not be there. When I told him how frustrated I was because the work site is not my home and I made a special trip there to meet him, he was unapologetic for not called. He said that due to his injury he had failed to check his calendar and implied that I should understand because he was injured. A phone call or a text would have been the appropriate action in spite of the injury.
