Good service, baristas are friendly and welcoming, and the energy drinks taste amazing holy shit!

My wallet won't let me come here often, but when I do, it's a fun treat that most other places don't offer. They have a regular menu but also a seasonally changing menu of themed drink options that are so fun to try! And getting the works (added cost) gets you the fun toppings of whipped creams, cookies, cakes, candy, whatever else they can fit on the top of your drink. A couple things to note: the drinks take a minute to make, so don't expect to walk or drive up and be on your way in a jiffy. They're also expensive - I got an iced 16oz drink with the works and it was over $10 before tip; not getting the fun toppings might drop your total by $1.50-2 but it's still a pricey visit. That being said, I'm giving 4 stars because once you're prepared for the wait and accept the prices, it's a fun treat and the staff are always friendly. The drinks are hit or miss for me - I'm not the biggest fan of coffee, so I don't care for the drinks that are coffee forward, but I like trying the fun seasonal flavors so I try to go at least once per season. read more

I get why this place is popular, unique drink flavors, an extensive menu, and pretty drinks. But either I've just gone on the wrong days, or this place is just really inconsistent with the way they make their drinks. This time when I visited, I ordered a 12oz with the works, and it was expensive, but I was willing to give it a try. The drink was super pretty and came with a ton of whipped cream and peanut butter drizzle, which I was happy about. However, the coffee was insanely bitter, and I usually like strong coffee, but I couldn't handle this one for some reason. And it kinda felt like they just tossed on the most random toppings. Like for example, really stale cookie dough pieces (don't get me wrong, I love cookie dough, but these were inedible; like they had been sitting out uncovered for days), a plain ladyfinger, etc. Not sure if I'd go again, might consider it if there's a seasonal offering I like and I'm in the area. read more

After I moved from WA, whenever I come back home this is always on my itinerary. At this point it's a tradition to do a stop here at least once. Every time I go, we get the kindest and sweetest baristas and they go all out on our drinks. Sometimes there are lines but they move quick. The drinks are always yummy. A little messy but it's worth it and if you don't want the mess just don't add the extra toppings. Last time I came back a couple of weeks ago, I ordered the blue raspberry and green apple (a classic ‍) I would recommend this place again and again. Grounds by far, has to be my favorite coffee shop. I've seen them go viral for the extravagant drinks and I've always been so curious to try them (and thank goodness I did). They have a variety of things on their menu to choose from where it was hard to even make a decision. You can also order from their past menus and they'll gladly make it for you. They have lotus, coffee (iced or hot), and even non-caffeinated drinks. The baristas are so sweet, they greet you warmly and make sure that each drink is delivered perfectly. I've had the Malibu Mocha and it was delicious. I love going here and will be going here from now on to get my daily dose of caffeine. read more

Customer service alone is the reason I would never recommend this business. I understand being a small company, but the way you handle patrons says a lot. Im in Texas but I have a sister that lives in Mukilteo whose birthday is today 12/13 & have tried to get her a gift card because this is her favorite place to get coffee from. I've been trying to contact someone for the better part of a month now but no one has gotten back to me. Sadly there is no business website, so I've tried calling the shop nonstop but no one ever picks up. I also found the IG page and not only commented under a post but also sent a personal message & NO ONE has responded. The interaction with and engagement on their posts are rather low so it isn't like they haven't seen it. How I heard of this place: A friend of ours was making coffee shop recommendations a few months ago and this came up among her suggestions for "fun drinks". We weren't far, so had to check it out. Type of cuisine: Sugar-infused cups of all the sweetness your heart desires! They also have traditional espresso beverages, non-espresso options with teas and energy drinks, shakes, donuts and savory sandwiches. Ambiance: A drive-through, stand-alone tiny home like setting with most drivers opting to order and go. They have one small outdoor seating spot with a table and two rickety chairs. The walk-up window shows the inside, and all of the brightly colored candies used to top your "fun" beverages. What I ordered: I was interested in something off the Signature Espresso options as it was my first visit. Drawn to the Mocha Mudslide and Toffee Delight, but the server helping suggested Rocky Road, so that (12-ounce) was my order. For the youngest in our party, a strawberry shake (12-ounce) with "all the toppings", and a 16-ounce hot oat milk Lavender Fields (minus espresso). Each beverage comes in one of five sizes from 8-ounces to 32-ounces. What I loved: The look, the novelty and the "fun" that makes up each cup. Each dessert creation looks carefully, thoughtfully crafted. Presentation is everything at Grounds Coffee Co. Why I loved it: The sunshine and cold beverage were a delightful combination! So admittedly we discovered them thanks to a Tiktok video and I couldn't resist the creepy cute Halloween drinks. First you should know, the line is long and sometimes goes into the road because of where the shop is positioned in the parking lot. Next, they have more than the trendy drinks and serve pastries-it was an afternoon lunch snack, so we didn't order any. Last, the cars waiting at the mailboxes is waiting for drinks, it's not someone trying to be polite and not block the road! Now the drinks! You may think something so cheesy would just be a bunch of sugar but it's not! Hands down some of the best fun coffee I've had since the old unicorn Frappuccino. I had mine ghosted and man were they super cute amongst the "blood!" I was very intrigued by all the fun drinks I kept seeing people post. I decided to go and give them a try myself. I was not sure what to order, I got my classic Vanilla iced latte and wow I was so amazed I could actually taste the coffee in my drink. I cant say that about many coffee shops.Even though my drink was "basic" they still managed to make it look fun and pretty. Another item that hits is the jalapeño bagel with cream cheese omg so delish! The spicy with the creaminess makes it such a perfect combo. Their chorizo burrito is quite good too with salsa packets they give makes a great breakfast when you are on the go. They use monin syrups and personally I don't like the coconut but I know many people prefer monin. It was my first time going and didn't know what to get so i was hoping they would still decorate my cup. I loved the result and the amount of candy they put, service was pretty fast. I was really pleased with my trip to Grounds Coffee Co. the line was long but it moved quickly. Everyone was friendly. And the drinks are worth the hype! We ordered Butter Beer 2.0 which really tasted like how I imagined butterbeer to taste; Dracula's Bride with no coffee which was like a vanilla milkshake with raspberry syrup; and Graveyard, which was a super thick chocolate cookies and cream drink with Oreos and gummy worms! They have a very extensive plus a seasonal menu. I don't think you can go wrong with this place. Definitely making it my go to spot! read more

Our favorite place for drinks. They use fresh frozen fruits not just syrup. Try their limited time offers, won't let you down. This place is hit or miss. This past Christmas I asked for the Haunnika drink and the girl had me questioning my drink. The drink is supposed to be blue and then whip with candy and a deadly on top. She handed me a purple drink with whip cream and then handed me the candy instead of putting it on top. I should have just asked for a refund. Also I feel like my drinks are mostly ice, and have asked for a reduction in ice and it doesn't happend. I have been a barista before and it's really important to not ignore little things like this. People come back when baristas pay attention to small details like ice, half pumps, and modifications. I was willing to pay an up charge for more product. There have been plenty of times my drink has come out pretty and how it should. Wish prices were listed on the menu. I come here once in a while for fun, but due to the inconsistency I don't come here as often. read more

What a bummer. After seeing this place blow up on TikTok we decided to stop by their mukilteo location. Such a disappointing experience. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and a specifically told her we wanted our drinks "ghostified" which they charge a 1.25 up charge for. I showed her the ghost marshmallow and the toasted marshmallow and said I really wanted that on top. She told me that because I was paying the extra that I would definitely get that. Well all we got was a stupid candy on top and some whip cream. So disappointing especially since we paid $12.50 a drink. I knew I was going to have to wait in line (which I waited 30 minutes) because of how busy they were but to wait in line and get a disappointing drink is so annoying. We came to the Mukilteo location after seeing Grounds Coffee go viral on TikTok. We expected a line and there certainly was. We didn't mind waiting as it gave us time to look through the whole menu and decide on our drink. What was a miss for me was being handed my drink and the skittles on top immediately falling everywhere around my car. If you're prepared for the mess, it can be a good experience. My sister and I live in the neighborhood and walk around very often. We always see this place when we go on our walks and have been wanting to try it ever since we moved to the area. We got the sour hurricane and dragon breeze with lotus. The girls there are great; the drinks do take awhile to make, but it make sense as they are pretty detailed. Our drinks were so cute and really flavorful. We loved the drinks so much we went back a couple days later to try their valentines drinks. I don't recommend them haha. They have coconut cream in them and something tasted really artificial and both of them that I didn't finish my drink. I really like this place and already have what I'm going to try next in mind. Terrible service. The manager blonde lady is very rude and unprofessional at mukilteo stand. They will promote drinks on thier instagram page but when I go to the coffee stand they still have Halloween menu up in Dec but promoting Christmas drinks on thier instagram page. False advertising . I love Grounds! It's where all us Kamiak kids go before, after, and during school. They have the most creative drinks and so many options, all for a very reasonable price. They sell food, but the drinks FAR outshine the food. Not only are the drinks very Instagrammable, they taste wonderful! The PB Jamberry is crazy- it tastes like you're literally drinking a sandwich. I swear I can taste the bread. The girls there are also so sweet, I love talking to them! They try their best to make any drink, even those from months ago. And they love to offer us "the works" aka all the fancy stuff on top haha! In terms of general ambiance, it's a coffee stand, so it depends on how much you like your car's interior. Every time I go to the stand the girls are awesome! They always make great conversation when they are extremely busy. The drinks are out of this world if you haven't tried any of their fancy blended or Red Bull mixers you are missing out. They also have awesome food! Okay yall. Both the bad and good reviews are fair. Let me tell you, Abby (taller blonde girl) is 10/10. She knows my mom, she knows my dad, she knows me now too (just as customers). That girl is so dang kind and fun to talk to but most importantly she makes a damn good coffee. As a family we discussed this because whenever we go, if she doesn't make the drinks, we feel let down and the drinks do not taste good at all. But when she makes it, it always... ALWAYS, comes out perfect. So we as a family made an agreement to only get drinks from abby. Our dental office treated us to coffee today and I had already gotten a drink in the morning at Grounds before heading to work. So instead I asked for a bagel since I still have my drink. I don't understand why someone would be okay with giving a customer a full burnt bagel. I'm only writing a review because there was another instance where they actually never made my drink when we had an order for the office. They said all drinks were made exactly as the paper note was written.
