Beautiful structure built in 1922. A few stores remain, but you don't come here to shop, necessarily. You come to eat at one of the many restaurants with a patio or to see what the hype is about.

Grove Arcade has BEAUTIFUL architecture that is worth stopping by to look at. On the exterior of Grove Arcade, there are many food options for dining and on the inside, there are plenty of shops to explore.

So many places claim to be one of America's first indoor malls, but is that something to boast about? The Grove Arcade was completed in 1929 and it's a unique style between English Palladian and Italian Renaissance. It's got a nice mix of shops, and restaurants, and when we visited it was decorated for the holidays. We did a lot of shopping here before eating at the Battery Park Book Exchange. When we visited on a weekday there was plenty of available street parking. We returned over the weekend and parking was definitely scarce, with many of the garages at capacity.

Grove Arcade is more than a shopping center. It's a historic piece of architecture worth seeing. There are paid parking spots out front and plenty of shops and restaurants inside. After eating breakfast at Bebettes inside, we walked through all the local stores. Our eight-year-old daughter loved Bohemian Baby and Razberry Threads. There are restrooms inside, but they open at 10am on Saturdays.

After a tasty lunch at Huli Sue's we decided to stop into the Grove Arcade and poke into some of the shops to see what they had to offer. This beautiful, and historic building offers a nice shopping experience with some unique stores both inside and out, lots of local crafters and vendors selling their goods, and a great spot to find something for anyone. We poked in and out a few of the shops, picking up some small gifts for the coming holiday season. The vendors we dealt with were all very friendly, and offered fair pricing for their hand made items. Others vendors had much higher pricing, but the value is all in the eye of the consumer. Still a spot to check out if you're in downtown Asheville

I loved this historical space and wished I had more time to enjoy the shops. Indoors houses various vendors that sell hats, jewelry, spices and ice cream; just to name a few. Outdoors houses additional stores and restaurants. All of the business owners were very pleasant and welcoming. Very beautiful space in Downtown Asheville that's worth a visit!

If you love architecture and historic buildings, Arcade Grove is a must-see. It is one of the most beautiful structures, complete with spiral staircases, sculptures, and intricate embellishments throughout. Walking through felt like being taken back in time, surrounded by the charm of a true masterpiece. Beyond its beauty, the building also hosts many local small businesses and restaurants, making it both breathtaking and full of life.

Originally opened in 1929, the arcade fell into disrepair. It was eventually renovated and reopened to the public in 2002. The architecture is beautiful with a lot of Art Deco touches. The arcade now includes offices and hi-end retail. It is beautiful and well worth a visit.

Indoor mall. Must try Benettes so good! The architecture is amazing and beautiful. Definitely walk through just to see and look around. I DLdid visit the gem store and there are so many beautiful stones. The history here is rich. And there are some really need stops where you. Can read some of this history . As an important part of the Civil War history, I highly recommend you walk through not just to shop but to educate yourself on some of our past history.

Gives old train station but in a good way. I had a lot of fun walking around and shopping in a few stores. Proud owner of a new refrigerator magnet and worry stone. The prices for both were great plus the hat store is having a 50% wall sale. Scored a new hat for the birthday man lol.

Very beautifully made. Small businesses here that I love to support. Every one is very friendly. Nice restaurants. Asheville and neighboring places seem to open later in the day so just beware of opening and closing times. Cute trinkets and stuff for all types of people.

While visiting Asheville we went to Grove Arcade thinking it was either a mall or a huge place with video games. It was much smaller and not what I thought. It's a smaller version of a mall with cute boutiques from locals. If you want something different than a mall with local shops and cute vibes, this is your place. We went during Christmastime so it was a great place to spend some time admiring the decorations. The second floor is not dedicated to shopping. In fact, they are apartments! This is very unique. How fun would it be to go downstairs and do your shopping?

What a stunning, historic building. Definitely worth a visit as a local or especially as a visitor. There are an abundance of shops, some accessible from within and some only from the outside. Jewelry, gifts, hats, chocolate, books, etc., most of which are goods from local vendors. If you enjoy architecture, make sure to look up, as the skylights and details of the archways and carved stonework are amazing! There is a row of restaurants on the outside with quaint patios and a row of built-in metal stands outside for local merchants to sell their handmade goods. Loved these stands for a farmer's market feel in the midst of this hip, bohemian downtown area. The Battery Park Bookstore was closed the day we went (bummer), so make sure to look at the hours for this hot spot ahead of time to enjoy a glass of champagne and get your read-on!

This place is decorated very nice for Christmas. It is not as big as it seems from its website or advertising online. It is worth a visit .

The Grove Arcade is neat. These types of arcades are somewhat of an anachronism in today's world. I really like exploring them.

Why does your website say that you are open until 8 on weekdays if literally every store (even the bathrooms) close at 6?

My hotel room overlooked the building, I was impressed by the architecture and read a bit about the history.

Not completely awful but I'd go to the barberitos down the street before here.

Do not shop here, racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, etc, store manager is a horrible human and the assistant says racial slurs.
