This cafe is PERFECT. I mean, NO NOTES. The OG Grove location is on the opposite end of Gulf Blvd - a surf shop / coffee shop, whereas this is way more food + coffee focused with a small merchandise area. Grove does coastal cafe right. It's beautiful inside and out, with a lot more patio seating than expected. I came for lunch and ordered the toasted coconut latte iced and the chicken caesar wrap. The wrap came with a pickle spear and some kettle chips. First, the latte. I love coconut coffees - this was a great one! Definitely sweet but not too sweet. Next time, I'd do it without the coconut bits since I didn't like getting those up the straw. I'd also love to try their other drink offerings, like the banana phone (more of a refresher, like banana/club soda) and their piña collatte. So many fun tropical options that scrreeeammm "I live where you vacation" hahaha. Now, the real showstopper of my visit. THE WRAP. Never have I ever met a chicken caesar wrap that made my eyes pop out of my head, but this thing was perfect. New Coastal Cafe in Indian Rocks Beach. Their sister location is Grove Surf & Coffee in St. Pete Beach. This one is their cafe, while the other one has the coffee and the surf shop inside. Service is great and everyone is very nice. I feel the beach vibes here and it's perfect spot to go before heading across the street to the beach. They have diff cookies, crossaints, muffins,, as well as sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. They have a variety of drinks - coffee, tea, cold and hot and diff alcoholic drinks too. The breakfast burrito here was to die for, probably the best one I've ever had! (and I've had a lot...) The gingerbread latte was a seasonal drink and it was tasty, though I felt that the gingerbread flavor was pretty subtle. I loved that it came with a little gingerbread cookie on the side, which was a very nice touch! The ambiance is adorable with a decent amount of seats both inside and outside, and it's right across from the beach so it's in a very cute area. The service was quick even with a long line of people. It's a bit pricey but worth it for what you get and understandable for a small business on the beach! Very clean inviting atmosphere, decent line which moved quickly at 9am. Ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and a bacon egg and cheese. Burrito was absolutely gigantic, chipotle sized. Delicious fresh guacamole, chorizo was excellent, definitely top tier 5 star burrito. The sandwich was excellent, the soft scramble with chives is a delightfully fresh take on a classic sandwich. Always love visiting Grove when I'm in town! This was the first time I tried their breakfast and it is SO good. I recommend the breakfast burrito. It comes vegetarian, but you can add protein! It's always super busy though and hard to find seats inside, so keep that in mind when you go! read more

Very long line, but worth it! We enjoyed our food and drink. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, scrambled eggs, and beet sandwich. Which all tasted great. The one issue being all the eggs were so watery. We also ordered the cinnamon honey latte and chai latte. Good but a little overpriced. I'm a black coffee type of guy, so take that for what it's worth. The key lime pie muffin was really good, but I wished I'd have done blueberry instead. read more

Service was very nice overall but particularly so when ordering at the register...lovely individual who truly understands customer service. 5 stars here. To be fair, the coffee is 5 star also. I would return for a coffee and possibly a sweet from the cookie / pastry case. I wish I had taken a pic of the case as the items within were beautifully decorated....large passion fruit sugar cookies, large sea salt chocolate chip cookies, generous slabs of banana and zucchini breads. Too much to mention - presentation is 5 star. BACON, EGG and CHEESE on BRIOCHE - good quality Brioche but sadly, this sandwich fell short as it's pretty much one note. Basically a buttery grilled but super soft sweet bun with super soft eggs and cheese plus a small amount of bacon. What I'm describing is a mushy sandwich with no contrasting texture. And because your only option is premixed eggs (which may be powdered) it's far less exciting than when you can choose your own style of egg. The bacon is just ok and again since there's such a small amount of it, the flavor doesn't come through. 3 stars. BLT - the best part of this sandwich was the sourdough bread (good sourdough is hard to find but this bread is legit) Otherwise 2 slices of tomato, two pieces of lettuce, mushy avocado which I believe was premade store bought guacamole....you know what I mean (was slimy and a bit too mushy) maybe two or three slices of very thin bacon plus mayo spread of some sort. The essence of a BLT is the bacon.....which I could barely see let alone taste. 3 stars. HASH BROWNS - frozen, out of a bag with too much onion salt added...sprinkle of chives.....no flavor. 1 star. ZUCCHINI BREAD- nice presentation before I cut into it. It was decent but I won't crave it. It would be great if they cracked fresh eggs to order etc but my strong feeling is that everything is outsourced and very little chef like cooking goes on. read more

Great funky, fun atmosphere. All in all quick service and adequate seating, especially considering the line in the morning. Coffee was delicious. I will say I was a bigger fan of their lunch items than I was the breakfast. That said, the zucchini bread was delicious. The hash browns were overly salty and I didn't particularly love the eggs but I prefer over hard scrambled eggs and these were definitely soft set. Parking was basically non existent in the morning, so walk or make plans to park a couple of blocks away. All in all I would definitely go back, and if you're in IRB you should definitely go! read more

Saw this place pop-up on Facebook so we made the trip out and went to the beach after. First thing I will say is there is minimal parking, like most places around Indian Rocks Beach area. So we had to circle a few times to find a spot. As for the restraunt itself, the inside was very nice modern beach asthetic, even had little sea schells in the quartz countertops. Service was very good and prompt. One major plus is they have gluten free options for my wife AND they don't upcharge you to swap out for gluten free bread like most places which is a plus. They also had a couple pastries that wete gluten free but the oat bar we were wanting to try had sold out already. We both got the bacon, egg and cheese sandwhich and it was outstanding. The eggs on it were cooked to perfection, very fluffy and flavorful. It also had a nice amount of bacon and some sort of chive aioli on top. Highly recommend. Also both got a side of hashbrowns which were super crispy as well. Coffee was good as well but nothing outstanding from the ones we had. Next time I would try one of their more adventerous coffee offerings probably. We will be coming back anytime were in the area for sure and highly recommend you do the same. read more

Food was so good! Had the ricotta toast and it was delicious! I wanted to get something that's unique and not typically offered for breakfast and that was it! I'm not typically a latte fan but wanted to try their signature drink and again, it did not disappoint! Would love to come back here but the parking situation the Friday morning before Memorial Day was pretty terrible, so be prepared to find some parking at the beach parking lots since most of the spots around the cafe are reserved for the other restaurants/shops. Adorable cafe in the heart of Indian Rocks Beach, loved the feel of it! I tried the monthly special, which was a banana matcha and wow, I was impressed. I would not normally choose banana flavored anything but also rarely pass up a matcha special. The banana was subtle but paired perfectly. It seems matcha is not often done well in Florida so the fact that a place finally nailed the matcha PLUS a unique flavor was a win. I went back a second day to get another. The shop was very busy and it took a few minutes to place an order and a few more to receive my drink and food but I was on vacation and in absolutely noooo hurry at all and the staff did give a heads up that it would take a minute. The little gift shop has very cute items to browse while waiting. Snagged a cute orange shortbread cookie for my daughter and it was yummy too. On the second day we ordered breakfast sandwiches and a side of eggs and bacon for my two year old (always love a restaurant who has this on their menu-there were several slices of bacon too!). The egg and bacon sandwich is good, the eggs are very soft (so just know that if that's not your thing) and there is a delicious aioli on there. Highly recommend stopping here when in town, it has less of a touristy feel than other restaurants in the area. read more
