The lady on the phone talked to me while I was meandering around the area in my truck on a dark road. Thank goodness!! She was so accommodating! For example: the number of nights I wanted to stay. Minimum is two nights. I was allowed to stay one. After I was assigned to one cabin, she allowed me to stay in a different cabin. Pulling up to park at my assigned cabin my headlights showed 3 deer!! Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.

We went right at dusk, but I think if it had been truly dark, we could have seen the resort from miles away. ALL. THE. LIGHTS. (And, other decorations.) I'm a small business owner and I NEED WIFI AND/OR PHONE SERVICE wherever I go, this is how I make a living. This place had neither. Advertisement said rooms had hot tubs but neither room had USABLE hot tubs. One hot tub was empty and came with a frog. The second hot tub had water dripping from the top deck and lukewarm water. The room carpet was old and smelled horrible. Upon check out, I was asked to strip the beds, gather up all trash and towels, and wash the dishes. Is this a hotel or an Airbnb? Amazing world class golf course and with no coffee or breakfast before a 10:30 round...actually no breakfast anywhere on the property on a Thursday peak season. By the time they finally open the golf club for lunch they close between 2-4.. peak season!! The facilities are amazing and hats off to the owner who wanted to be part of something amazing but he was bamboozled into poor management. Even the staff, who should be proud to live and work in such an amazing place are tired of telling guests repeatedly that amenities are closed beyond Friday through Sunday. Everyone was friendly and greeted us with big smiles, hello's and friendly service. I mean everyone from ground staff to wait staff everyone was ready to serve or just being helpful. The pool area is top notch and would compete with any resort. There is a kids water play ground too. Bar service evil it's ISR was prompt and properly frequent. Our room was great despite the aforementioned, bed was comfortable and all the little details in order. Our room had a walk out balcony which we really appreciated and used throughout our stay. There are several restaurants on the property but make a reservation at the Summit, spend a little too much cause it's worth it. Immaculate service, wonderful top flight foods, ridiculously good deserts! Pull your boat up to the courtesy slips and enjoy a meal or pick up supplies at the ship store. There are 27 holes of championship golfing with more to come, a full service gym, spa, sauna, and the typical ball rooms and meeting rooms. Really this would be five stars if not for all the noise and I can't fault the staff or service, perhaps the building contractor? Sadly then, they really deserve five stars, we are already planning a return visit and plans to rent a boat. PS we would have rented a boat but the weather was not great on this trip and really you come to a place like this for four things; boating, fishing, golf, and pampering afterwards.

Our cabin was super comfortable, clean and right on the lake. Our big and cozy porch let us sit and watch the lake with all the boats gliding by. There are so many families with kids, they made fast friends and had games of tetherball, swinging on the swings and jumping on the water platform. We were able to rent a boat, wave runners and enjoyed how easy it was all right in front of us. When we were done playing in the lake we were able to jump in the saltwater pool and jacuzzi.
