Horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE. There are great resorts around Grove this is not one of th Booked for a family reunion a year and a half ago and reserved the cedar lodge for Sat the 5th. We went out a few days before everyone was going to start arriving and they told us someone else had it for the 5th but we could have the 4th. So we figured we would make the best of it. The morning of the fourth we brought all our food and were ready to start moving into it and they had rented it to someone else. We were not refunded!!! Multiple family members were double charged for their cabins. the bathrooms were overflowing into the floors. Garbage cans were overflowing. The swimming pool was closed most of the time. and the lady at the desk lied to us continuously. Multiple family members got sick from the filth and flies. 1 ended in the hospital. Liars. Thieves. Absolutely awful. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE We had family come all the way from California, booking a year in advance for our family reunion, and the treatment my family received was atrocious. With the amount of hidden fees, people were paying nearly double what the cabins were originally said to cost. The large event room we were supposed to have on July fifth was double booked, so they moved us to the fourth, we were ready to make the best of it arriving with all our food and family and they had rented it out to someone else! We were NOT refunded. The bathrooms were a biohazard, with toilets backed up and overflowing. The pool was shut down 99% of the time. We were not given the services we paid for. Several family members ended up sick, and one was so sick he had to be hospitalized. My family was spoken to and treated in a way that was disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. People need fired, and SERIOUS reform NEEDS to happen. We will never come back here. And no one should ever stay here. read more

My family was having a big reunion and we had family members come from all over the country. We rented out the big hall for a family dinner and they overbooked and rented it out to someone else. They then refused to refund us. They also changed multiple members of the family with extra fees or just outright charged people twice for a cabin, again refusing to give a refund. The bathrooms were overflowing with feces and literally floating around the bathroom floor. A few of my family members got extremely sick most likely from the overflowing bathrooms and dirty pool that we later found out was supposed to be closed by order of the health inspector. Over all a terrible experience and the owner had no intention of trying to make it right. Highly recommend going anywhere else. read more

Be warned DO NOT STAY HERE.. It was so disappointing. I traveled from California for a 4th of July Family Reunion. We had been planning for 2 years. Several family members and I rented several cabins at the resort. We had a large meeting room reserved for the 5th then were told they double booked it.. We could have it on the 4th BUT then it was already booked, then they tried to give us a room that was 1/2 mile away from center of camp and wouldn't even hold half of us.. WHAT were we supposed to eat in shifts?? We ended up eating outside in the volleyball area in the heat and swarmed by flies.. They have a horrible fly issue.. It could be from the overflowing trash cans and atrocious bathrooms conditions. The office help takes forever to complete anything.. Incompetent.. 15 minutes to buy a coke.. Pool was broken/ shutdown by the health department. They refused to make anything right or refund any of the rental cost for a building we couldn't even use.. read more

This was a trip from a nightmare!! Cabin was extremely dirty, our feet were black after taking out shoes off to bring our suitcases inside. The cabin door didn't lock from the inside, I have toddlers and our cabin was lakefront with a big drop off into water! There were boards on the ceiling hanging off with nails exposed. The hot tub was an inflatable tub and was scorching hot and stinky. The pool fence is about 4 feet tall with no latch on the gate! Little kids and toddlers could easily access the pool while playing on the swing set near the pool! The pool was also "closed" most the time there but no latch on the gate. Trash cans were overflowing. Many kids in our group got extremely sick from the filth there. One in the hospital. The kitchen and staff were very hostile and upset when I pointed out I was charged an extra 200$ at checkout... they did refund me after quite some explaining and showing them the math on a calculator. This trip was one of the worst ever. This is not resort...more of a dirty trailer park vibe. I highly recommend not booking here. Hopefully they can fix the place up and make it how it once was (in the advertised photos it looks nice...it was nothing like the photos!) personally I think the place need to be shut down... read more

We stayed here a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time staying 2 nites in a cabin on the edge of the lake with a deck and hot tub on it. The room was spotless and hospitality was great . Tawny was such a breath of fresh air for us to work with. She took pictures of our room before we got there and helped us to locate a for sale property on the lake in the resort on the edge of the lake. We found it to be in our budget and bought a lakeside modular home. We love everyone there and the friendliness is just unmatched anywhere. read more

My 4 star rating is taking into account that this is a no frills, 1 bedroom, with a loft bed cabin rental. We stayed in cabin 9. Sept 20-23. The cabin had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. It appeared clean but the floors are in desperate need of a deep scrub. What wasn't visible to the naked eye was a thick layer of black goo on the bottom my feet. So we wore shoes at all times. There is a soft sided hot tub on the porch that felt great on one of the cooler evenings we were there. The property is a lot tighter than it appears in pictures meaning the lots are very close to each other. There are a lot of longterm rentals or private cabins and trailer homes that are decorated in varying fashions. I found it charming while walking my dog around the resort. We rental the 90 hp pontoon boat and it ran great. We had no problems. The guy who works the dock area was great and told us all about the boat and areas to go and avoid on the lake. All the resort staff were really great. All seemed laid back and respectful. I'd definitely recommend for the family. Some things to keep in mind.... the resort is on a cliff directly above the water. The stairs to get to the dock for boating or fishing are very steep. There is no beach for swimming near the resort but there is a pool. read more

I am very unhappy. We stayed at Lee's Resort a few weeks ago and booked a 2 night stay. We had to put down a $250 deposit and the $95/night turned into $270/night with all the fees not including the deposit. When we checked out I asked about when we would get the deposit and I was told it would take a couple days to get it returned. There were no issues with the room and so I expected it back. Now it has been 3 weeks and still no deposit back. I sent an email and did not get a response. I called and I was told it was sent but there would be a delay due the the bank holiday. A few days later I still don't have it back. I have asked them to call me to get this resolved and I only got one email with no response only a receipt that shows the $200 deposit was taken off our bill but the credit card shows we paid $750 with no credit. I think all these fees are a scam and the deposit is definately a scam. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! read more

Horrible customer service. Cabins weren't clean. Hot tubs was green and cold. Didn't have adequate bedding or beds(couch didn't pull out. Was broken) for my family. Was over charged because supposedly there records didn't show the correct number of people on my reservation. I have several confirmation emails proving otherwise. Found pills on the floor. Mold covering the ceiling because the indoor hot tub in the penthouse. Contacted health department(public record of several write-ups) after we tried speaking with management and they were EXTREMELY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. We stayed in Cabin 11 with a wonderful spa, working kitchen, beautiful view. Platoon boat rental with concierge service: they brought the boat to the dock, and waited until a bit extra late to rope us in. Made sure we had one life jacket per person, excellent and clean boat, reasonable pricing. Personable staff, neighborly feeling, all fishing basics available on site, with laundry, pool, activities for kids. Highly recommended! read more

Wonderful staff. If you are trying to get a cabin/nature experience, this is the place to go! Just know that you are paying for the view and NOT the quality of the cabin. This is an older establishment and the stove, oven, microwave, and coffee pot show that. Bring your own cleaning supplies and pots/pans. What they have in the cabin has been used too many times. Bring your own sheets/pillows as well. The ones provided are stained and not washed well. Although they have military memorabilia everywhere, they do not offer military discounts. They also prejudice towards dog breeds. Don't put your feet near the bathrooms bottom cabinets as there are tacks/nails poking out of the floor. The beds are just springs at this point and my guess is the furniture has never been cleaned. Good luck going down the stairs to the dock. I wouldn't trust those stairs with my life. read more

The cabin has a stunning view of the lake. The bedrooms in the cabin are very small and have minimal storage space. No shampoo or conditioner is provided only a deodorant soap is provided. Breakfast contains 6 items. Watch out for the spiders and spider webs everywhere on the docks. Overall, the cabin is ok and adequate for sleeping after a long day on the lake. read more

I had a hard time deciding between two or three stars. Booking was a pain, because their website isnt very clear or user friendly, and we had a big group plus a dog. They are VERY difficult to get ahold of, and if they call back, they're slow to get around to it. The prices weren't clear either, and after we initially booked and paid the deposit, I saw that they were running a Facebook special that they didn't apply to our reservation. I called back, and they agreed to apply it, but it took a few times to get the correct pricing, AND they added additional charges. In the end, we definitely didn't save money with the deal. The cabin we rented had 7 double beds, and we had 8 people(6 adults, 2 children under 10), but we were charged for two extra people...because they state that a cabin with 7 double beds only sleeps 6... We also had a hard time securing the hot tub, despite making it clear we wanted a cabin that offered that, so we honestly were surprised to see it when we arrived! When we checked in a little before 5, the office was already closed. They forgot about us, per the staff answering the "after hours" line, but sent someone over to unlock the door. No one gave us keys, though, and we didn't get our "welcome" bag until the next day. The place itself is quite a gem, and we loved its location. They do have several trailer homes connected to the area with residents that live there. The free breakfast wasn't too bad, plus it's free! The cabin offered plenty of room and bathrooms for our group, and we didn't encounter any issues with having our dog with us. There's a great playground area for kids and it's really close to the town. If my family as a whole hadn't had such a great weekend, im not sure I'd book there again. read more

We rented a bass boat and we had an absolute blast! They were so nice and easy to rent from. They aren't like many many boat rentals that want an arm and a leg for a 8 hour rental. The boat was brought to the dock for us and topped off with fuel. We loaded up and took off. They were back at the dock when we came back and made it easy for a novice boat driver to land back on the dock. Tied the boat up and helped us off. Everyone there were super friendly and helpful. No surprise fees or and goofy stuff. We appreciate their kindness and help. My only scuff was the website picture of the bass boat doesn't accurately reflect what the boat really looks like but it ran like a champ anyway. Family owned. read more

Beware! Not a resort to begin with. No boats for rent or marina. Stairs to water are very steep. No winter rates. They offer a cabin with lofts but not enough space to even sit up in. Hot tub and deck are tiny, can't sit and see water. No nothing in the kitchen. No pots or pans, dishes, utensils, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels but they do have single ply tp! They DO have a toaster and coffee machine with no filters or cups. Then I see they sell it in their office. Claims covid rules. 2nd bigger cabin had wharped floors due to shower. Do you think they replaced a too short curtain even after extensive floor damange? No. Can't sit on front porch chairs because dirty and nothing to clean them off with. Grills out front not usable. Dirty with spider webs and broken. They don't return calls. Office closes and they are gone. They are not busy, they are full of crap. One word CHEESY and I feel ripped off! read more

My whole family (7 adults, 2 children) stayed in cabin 12 at Lees Grand Lake Resort from August 20 - 27, 2016. My sister in law was the first to notice bites which I, a registered nurse, thought were bedbug bites. We checked the beds and didn't see anything and we all hoped I was wrong. Then my father started getting bites. Still, there were a lot of bugs in Oklahoma so we continued our vacation. It wasn't until we were packing up to check out that my sister in law (who is now covered in these linear bites colloquially known as breakfast, lunch, and dinner) pulled the mattress off the bed and found a whole mess of bedbugs on the box springs. We have photos. I will be happy to post them if anyone has any questions. Let me back up for a second. Before we left home I read a review on facebook that stated that there were bedbugs at the resort. I was nervous and my brother in law called them to ask about the review. They told him that it was just an angry customer and that there were no bedbugs and no other complaints of bedbugs. They straight up lied to our faces. After we found the bedbugs they called us down to the office and refunded one night of our vacation. In my opinion this is not compensation for the fear of bringing these awful blood sucking parasites into my own home. I have now purchased mattress and box spring encasements and I'm out 145 dollars. And my mother now also has bites all over. We will be reporting this to the Delaware County Health Department. But I'm so angry and disappointed with everything that occured here. I hope that some other traveler sees this and is able to avoid this nightmare. Stay away from Lees! read more

Our entire group (8) really enjoyed this place. None of us had ever been here before and were honestly a little apprehensive but booked it site unseen off of an internet search. What we found when we got there was everything we hoped it would be. Nice clean well supplied cabin (#16) with a great area for the kids and a pool as well as fishing/boating. Lee's Resort SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. While the resort itself is a tidy place in a stunningly beautiful location, the only thing that surpasses the beauty of the place is the carelessness, laziness, incompetence and general rudeness of the people who work there. On Saturday, September 7, my brother and I stopped by your resort. We were very impressed with the location and look of the place. We examined several boats offered for rental and reserved a specific rental boat for the following Monday, September 9th, at 1PM, for a 4 hour rental. The very friendly, helpful and TOTALLY INCOMPETENT lady there recorded our reservation in her calendar. We arrived today, Monday, September 9th, promptly at 1PM. I was informed that the boat was rented and it "had just gone out." When I asked about the reservation we had, we were told, "She put you on a totally different week." Plus a shrug. We were offered much lesser boats, one of which I had personally examined. Rode hard and put up wet would be a kind description of that decrepit Bayliner. Or a pontoon boat, or presumably a canoe, paddle boat, or bicycle. All of these ridiculous alternatives were offered at FULL PRICE and were accompanied by more shrugging. No compensation of any kind was offered, beyond many shrugs. We were then referred to a competing marina, half an hour south, which was CLOSED when we arrived. We had been working for several days on remodeling a house, moving heavy furniture, and taking loads to the dump. We had timed this rental to take advantage of the perfect weather on the last day of our stay in Grove. Thanks to Lee's Resort, our much anticipated recreational break from this labor was completely and totally wasted. Not an apology, not a referral, not a discount, NOTHING was offered except lame excuses and shrugs from a person who clearly does not give a damn about customers. Thanks for nothing except frustration. AVOID LEE'S RESORT AT ALL COSTS, unless you want your vacation ruined as well. read more

A little late as I just got this app but I paid a deposit for a cabin for my daughters birthday in the summer of 2012. We found out that there was some kind of algae in the lake that was making people sick and even some died. This was In many lakes because of the heat,Grand Lake included. Because we have children of course we weren't risking it! We were told by The manager that "it wasn't in their area of the lake". Ridiculous. I asked for a refund. I was told its non refundable although when I paid on the phone I wasn't told that. Long story short they offered to let me reschedule.... But the only dates they had were in November and December. That defeats the purpose of renting jet skis and swimming off the dock now doesn't it. They refused any refund and wouldn't allow me to reschedule for a year in advance. Nothing after that calendar year. So 100+ deposit thrown away. Very bad customer service and it took a week to reach the so called manager only after I reported them to the BBB did I get a call back. read more
