I really enjoyed the vibes and even though I have mobility issues with ground work I felt challenged without feeling embarrassed. This is truly a safe space for movement and I will be back. Plenty of parking for a morning-weekend class. I may be biased when I say Ally is the best person to start your Saturday morning with.

People's Yoga in Monterey Park (near ELAC) exceeds my wildest dreams. This single studio with wooden-floors and plants is homey and yet located on the second floor of a plaza and across from the metro station (Atlantic stop). It's truly a delight - not to mention the one and only Latina-owned yoga studio is the area (if not LA?). My favorite class is "Body Soft" on Thursday nights at 7pm with Diane. This class is for those that want to ease into yoga (a.k.a. Beginners) or those who need to chill from a long work week. But...please don't meditate into sleep. Yes, rarely does snorting ensue. On-site parking is available and the studio provides all the equipment and even water, just bring your own water bottle. Pre-registration is recommended as the studio only accommodates so many people. If the single class price is steep for your budget, check out their packages as they offer a built-in discount. Also, first timers can try out a monthly on a discount. For the yogis or yogis in training, you may be interested in their training program. Personally, I'm not a fan of virtual movement classes because I prefer to be in-person, but for those on a shoe string budget that may an option. Either way, I LOVE People's Yoga! Shout out to Leah and Lauren, co-founders, Latina mama business owners, and yoga instructors. Their dream to open this brick and mortar became a reality years ago and has been going strong for years.

I am SO UPSET that I do not live in the area and can continue to come to this gym. They have ruined me. I cannot accept basic yoga classes anymore. Took advantage of their 7days for $7 trial. Loved it so much I went twice a day. Then I purchased a 10 class pack so I could exercise during the rest of my visit. It didn't matter the class type or the instructor, if I had time I was there. And didn't even care that I couldn't do half the moves, the staff and patrons are so welcoming, ya just wanna be there. Loved everything about this establishment; staff, amazing. Classes, fire. Parking, plentiful and free! The space is not large, but they maximize it in a way that doesn't feel over crowded. Downside is that there is no shower, but there are 6am classes, so plenty of time to get yourself home and off to work by 8am :) I look forward to returning when I am In the area.

But alas, they were able to redeem it and set up my account which is great. Cute little gym with a small yoga studio on the side. No frills, nothing fancy but the yoga here is not bad. Instructors are friendly and professional and start class on time. I wish they were a bit more hands on. It'd be cool if they included sound bath at the end of class or towels or something. I always park on the street but they have a free parking lot as well.

I absolutely love this studio, mainly because in most classes, I LEARN something about my body…read more Paul's classes, especially, offer such depth and understanding of biomechanics. Nothing beats the intelligence of the Iyengar system, imho! I will say that Paul has a unique way of balancing his precise knowledge with a very spacious accommodation, which is TRULY the art of an engaged teacher. However, there are other instructors here (I won't name names) that unfortunately trigger my sympathetic nervous system with their tone, and overuse of the word "should." As much as I try to get past this, my breath and body just become tight, and I don't move as freely with overly managed instruction. Yoga House could be one of the last studios on the Eastside that uphold the integrity of a yogic learning environment. As a yogi of 25 years, and an instructor myself, I recommend the Iyengar classes to anyone working to heal injuries and those who want to deepen their practice. It's not a miracle, but a more serious approach to yoga can be transformative, on many levels.

A True Sanctuary for Mind, Body, and Spirit…read more I can't say enough wonderful things about Pasadena Yoga House! I recently attended the class for people with mobility challenges, led by the incredible Peggy, and it was truly a transformative experience. As someone living with Lupus and Muscular Dystrophy, finding a movement space where I feel safe, seen, and supported has been a long journey. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed--not just by the staff, but by the beautiful community that gathers here. There's a genuine warmth in the room that you can feel, and Peggy's presence and guidance made all the difference. She was patient, attentive, and so compassionate, offering helpful adjustments and making sure each student felt comfortable and included. The studio is clean, calm, and absolutely beautiful. They offer plenty of props to support your practice, and the meditation beginning and at the end of class was the perfect way to wind down and reconnect with myself. It's rare to find a space that honors both your limitations and your potential--but Pasadena Yoga House does just that. If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive, and healing space to move, breathe, and just be--you've found it. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone, especially those with mobility challenges or chronic conditions. I left feeling lighter, supported, and truly at home.
