I really enjoyed the vibes and even though I have mobility issues with ground work I felt challenged without feeling embarrassed. This is truly a safe space for movement and I will be back. People's Yoga in Monterey Park (near ELAC) exceeds my wildest dreams. This single studio with wooden-floors and plants is homey and yet located on the second floor of a plaza and across from the metro station (Atlantic stop). It's truly a delight - not to mention the one and only Latina-owned yoga studio is the area (if not LA?). My favorite class is "Body Soft" on Thursday nights at 7pm with Diane. This class is for those that want to ease into yoga (a.k.a. Beginners) or those who need to chill from a long work week. But...please don't meditate into sleep. Yes, rarely does snorting ensue. On-site parking is available and the studio provides all the equipment and even water, just bring your own water bottle. Pre-registration is recommended as the studio only accommodates so many people. If the single class price is steep for your budget, check out their packages as they offer a built-in discount. Also, first timers can try out a monthly on a discount. For the yogis or yogis in training, you may be interested in their training program. Personally, I'm not a fan of virtual movement classes because I prefer to be in-person, but for those on a shoe string budget that may an option. Either way, I LOVE People's Yoga! Shout out to Leah and Lauren, co-founders, Latina mama business owners, and yoga instructors. Their dream to open this brick and mortar became a reality years ago and has been going strong for years.

The space is so inviting, there is just something about it that is so welcoming. Dora the owner is an amazing teacher, and person. During the trial I tried out... Kali Sculpts w/ Melanie: - Melanie was very welcoming and consistent with her transitions and overall flow of the class. The poses certainly challenged the whole body at a steady pace that still afforded flexible upgrades / challenges Kali Flow with Brynn: - Brynn was a fundamentally sound instructor, with stellar energy and great verbal / tactile body cues. I really appreciated her running us through a warm-up for all the major joints in preparation for more dynamic poses. As intended, it was not long before I found myself in flow. Bonus points for the squeaky clean transition into the cool down. Spin-Strength-Stretch class with Emily: - this was my first ever life cycle class (Peloton) and I loved every second of it. Emily's firecracker energy and physical capacity to walk the talk was incredibly impressive. Additionally, it was pretty badass going from 25 minutes of cycling that slowly progressed to adding choreographed movements straight into a 25 HIIT total body EMOM circuit (every minute on the minute) A Restorative Kali flow with Brittini to conclude the week: - A late night Yin to end the day was great. Moreover, drawing down the blackout blinds to completely engross the lot of us into our own sensory space really allowed my mind to trail off into the grounding music cast in the background. Overall, this studio has so much to offer. Firstly, it's impressive that they have such a streamlined and user friendly app. Also, the floor space is super well laid out with easy to use daily lockers and check-in. The star of the show though has to be the instructors themselves - all of which are so unique in terms of skill set and foster a welcoming yet electric atmosphere as soon as the needle drops.

Leaving my comment just to support the business owner in regards to the issue with transitions. Witnessing and learning details about this whole situation, I feel sorry for the owners of Vibes bc I feel like they took the blame for the previous owner of the Rowland location. The owner of vibes tried their best to accommodate members from the previous business (who actually charged these members annual pass fee and committed to provide services) while they did not receive any payment. If anything what's fair would be for these member to reach out to the previous owner who charged them for the annual pass rather than giving the owner of vibes la a hard time by causing a mess and being rude intentionally on the group chat.

I've been a long time member of Corepower so I've had my fair share of hot yoga, and it makes me appreciate the way that hot 8 operates - they have multiple types of classes - I tried Strength, Yin, Sculpt, and they're all fantastic. The membership feels so worth it because of the variety of classes and the multiple rooms/times available. I will definitely be returning. Shout out to the front desk staff - they helped me solve issues with my booking process (my fault) and were so kind/patient when exposing the different classes to me. Oh and shoutout to Allison Chiang - the Strength instructor. She brought the energy and spent time on form correction. So key! Finally - there's free parking with validation in the building! Nothing beats the intelligence of the Iyengar system, imho! I will say that Paul has a unique way of balancing his precise knowledge with a very spacious accommodation, which is TRULY the art of an engaged teacher. However, there are other instructors here (I won't name names) that unfortunately trigger my sympathetic nervous system with their tone, and overuse of the word "should." As much as I try to get past this, my breath and body just become tight, and I don't move as freely with overly managed instruction. Yoga House could be one of the last studios on the Eastside that uphold the integrity of a yogic learning environment. As a yogi of 25 years, and an instructor myself, I recommend the Iyengar classes to anyone working to heal injuries and those who want to deepen their practice. It's not a miracle, but a more serious approach to yoga can be transformative, on many levels.

I recently attended the class for people with mobility challenges, led by the incredible Peggy, and it was truly a transformative experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed--not just by the staff, but by the beautiful community that gathers here. There's a genuine warmth in the room that you can feel, and Peggy's presence and guidance made all the difference. She was patient, attentive, and so compassionate, offering helpful adjustments and making sure each student felt comfortable and included. The studio is clean, calm, and absolutely beautiful. They offer plenty of props to support your practice, and the meditation beginning and at the end of class was the perfect way to wind down and reconnect with myself. It's rare to find a space that honors both your limitations and your potential--but Pasadena Yoga House does just that. If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive, and healing space to move, breathe, and just be--you've found it. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone, especially those with mobility challenges or chronic conditions. I left feeling lighter, supported, and truly at home.
