The workers there are so nice with helping to design a perfect bouquet for you and the prices for such quality flowers are worth it. I've had so many great experiences with growers direct in the past before today. I was BAFFLED by how i was treated in the store today. I picked out a bunch of peonies and some dahlias to be arranged. I asked the man working there if he could arrange them for me as they always do, and he said sure. Before he began arranging he quoted me $75. I was astonished as this is far far above normal pricing. He told me that if i wanted to buy the flowers alone it would be $40 but he was charging me $25 to arrange the flowers! $25 two arrange 2 bunches of flowers and add filler. that should be apart of the service, and experience of buying not a $25 charge. In the past the sweet woman that works there has always helped me pick flowers and arranged them beautifully for no additional charge. What we ended up getting is beautiful but are like rush jobs - made hastily with 30 minutes before closing (because the next day, Sunday is closed). They are truthfully small, nothing like the style we had asked for, and nowhere near close to the $500 value we were charged. I put a tissue box in 1 of the photos for perspective. This is the first place I went to buy flowers at and it was disappointing. The service is friendly, but when I went to pick my flowers up, they "gave them away" to another person. It was pretty inconvenient but they tried to make up for it by putting some flowers together last minute and saying they will deliver it to me. I ordered flowers for my baby shower and they were an 1 hr and 40 min late, finally delivering the flowers in the middle of the shower. Such a Horrible and embarrassing experience. I would highly not trust them for any special event. I asked for the manager or owner to call to make things right. Loved this flower shop! I came in right before closing last week and was treated with the same kindness and care as someone who would have arrived earlier in the day. The florist (whose name I unfortunately can't remember!) greeted me and helped me choose a bouquet for my friend. At first she recommended a pre-arranged bouquet and then saw that I was looking for something different. She allowed me to choose my own flowers and created a custom bouquet for me at the same price ($40 - not cheap, but an amazing value!). She spent a few minutes cutting and arranging the flowers, adding a few of her own touches (I had chosen white roses, peonies, and hydrangeas; she added eucalyptus and blue thistle), and packaging them in beautiful brown paper tied with a string. I have been a loyal customer to growers direct flower shop in coast Mesa for a good 2 years now, unfortunately the more I buy there the more I get bad quality roses I'm very disappointed in my recent purchase with grows I bought 3 bushes of red roses I couldn't clean them because the petals of the roses would just fall out I had to go buy more roses from a different flower shop so my customers didn't get low quality roses! I reached out asking kindly for a refund and it's been 3 days now and still haven't received any type of payment this is the second time I have had this problem with them, I recommend 2 of my florist friends to buy from them for the holidays and there flowers were moldy falling apart and they told them they didn't have enough evidence for a refund this is very sad! I guess it's kind of hit or miss. Depends on who is working the day you come in. I went here last year looking for a bouquet for my daughter for her event. This guy offered to make me one and asked how much my budget was and what colors I wanted. It was beautiful and looks like it's worth more than the price I gave compared to the ones from the ready made ones from other stores. So I came back again today wanting something similar for my daughter's graduation. and this time there was a different guy and he said sure I'll throw in some leftover flowers in the back. And when I came to pick it up I was a little disappointed with what he made. There weren't even any baby's breath or leaves to fluff it up. I didn't have time to have a discussion so I let it be. But then he wrapped it in this large brown paper that covered the whole bouquet. So I imagine when I give it to my daughter it looks like I'm giving her a large brown paper bag with a ribbon. And when I take pictures, she will look like she's holding a folded recycled grocery bag? I was in a hurry so I just took it and wrapped it with a different colored paper I had at home.
