I am editing this post after two years because I had another baby and I appreciate a referral they gave me. No one ever caught my tongue tie and I had to track down treatment for myself as an adult. I am so grateful that Michael actually believes in tongue ties and gave me a solid recommendation. It saved our breastfeeding relationship. I often find myself in Doctor's office feeling judged and scrutinized with my choices I make for my kids- but after finding GHT I have never felt more at ease going to the Drs office. Nancy, Michael and staff are amazing. They truly take the time to listen and genuinely make us feel like they care about us. Having my little one is a challenge and I've had a million questions, fears and a lot of wtf moments. Nancy always addresses my concerns and has helped me navigate this crazy, wonderful journey of motherhood. They've been available at midnight when lo's temp spiked to 104°, answered nutrition & my why/what's this questions during checkups, and always clearly explained everything. I took my 2 year old son here today for the first time. I was looking for a more wholistic pediatric practice and I have finally found one! I was beyond impressed with this facility and the staff. I felt listened to and they did a great job with my son (who does not like being at the doctors). We saw the nurse practitioner, Heather, who was very knowledgeable. My son got really upset about the examination so she offered to step out for a couple minutes and let him calm before coming back in. I love that she did that because once she left, he was able to calm and we could finish the appointment. I will be switching all my son's care over to this office even though it is a far drive for us. It is a gift to have a place that combines both a natural and traditional approach. Amazing!!! I am so happy and relieved I found GHT. I could tell from my first phone call with Anna that I had finally found a great place to take my children. The scheduling process was so easy. This office is EXTREMELY flexible and I love that they have appointments outside of the typical 9-5 time frame. I received confirmation emails along with paperwork I was able to fill out before our visit. I arrived for our appointment and loved the building and parking area. We walked in and noticed how extremely clean the office was. We were greeted by Jeannie and Anna's bright and smiling faces. There was maybe a 1 minute wait time before going to our room. Anna took my children's vitals in such a patient and loving way. Nancy the NP was in our room in no time and she thoroughly answered any questions and concerns I had. I really felt such comfort in her words. Not only from a medical stand point but also from a fellow mother. I am so blessed and thankful to have been referred to Mike's practice. I myself avoid medications at all costs, eat organic and grass feed products and had a natural home birth - it was important for me to find a pediatrician who supported my same beliefs. I could not find a holistic provider that accepted my insurance so I went with a general pediatrician to my dismay. After extensively researching the pros and cons of vaccines, I chose for my child to go with natural immunity vs. vaccinations. My pediatrician, who although was very nice, refused to accept patients who were not vaccinated. Remembering a friend had told me about Mike I decided it was time to give him a call. It was a holiday and the office was closed so I left a message. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike called me back directly within the hour. We talked about my situation and Mike was ok with my decision not to vaccinate and scheduled a new patient appointment; my son was 2 months at the time. Mike meet me at the front of the office (without a wait) and took me back to a very comfortable and cozy room. He examined my child as if he was one of his own and you could sense his passion and love for what he does. I immediately knew he was the right pediatrician for my son and me. About 2 weeks later my son woke up with a cough and was crying almost uncontrollably (my son had virtually never cried for more than 30 seconds only when he was hungry, seriously), I knew something was wrong. I called Mikes office and was connected with him directly. I explained the situation and he went over symptoms and stated there was nothing alarming at this point and scheduled an office visit the following day (a Saturday) just to be on the safe side. Mike provided me with a children's urgent care in my area of his choice in case of an emergency in the meantime. Mike gave me suggestions of natural home remedies to help with the cough and congestion and provided me with his cell phone number to contact him with any questions or if his condition became worse. I met Mike the following day and he determined my son did not need medications at this point and to monitor his health over the next few days. Mike followed up with me daily on my sons progress until he was better. Being a first time mom and having a sick two month old, it was an incomparable feeling to have my pediatrician a phone call/text away. I cannot put a price on my sons health and Mike is 100% worth the little out of pocket extra costs that insurance doesn't cover. I feel my child is in the best of hands with Mike and would refer him over and over to anyone I know. Thanks Mike for being the best! read more

My kids have been going to GHT for about a year and a half now. They love the staff and NPs. Going to visit Dr Mike is never a bad experience. He is always calm and attentive and the kids love to talk to him. If we ever have an issue that needs to be attended to over the weekend the on call NP gets back to you right away and addresses your concerns. I've never been to any pediatric facility that was so well run and have the most friendly and happy staff! We love GHT. read more

My husband and I just went to see Mike for the first time today, and thought found it to be a great experience. We didn't feel rushed or like we had to get everything done at once. Mike was very willing to just listen to us and carry a conversation. We also want to delay vaccines, and he's very open to doing that. So writing this review is bitter sweet, bitter because unfortunately we where forced to stop our care here for my two girls and sweet because I'm so happy and thankful for the care we received. Both Mike and Nancy where primary caregivers for my family for almost two years. As a mom I believe in the value of having a good personal relationship with your kids doctors where you don't feel like just another number and like truly care about your concerns and the GHT staff provided that for me. Any time I had last minute issues with my girls I was attended too and listened too as well, they made availability immediately and never turned me away. The communication between the staff is great so you don't have long waiting times or any issues with prescriptions. I'm saddened that we moved and had to switch care but I'm so thankful that for GHT, they have set the standard high for our next Pediatrician. read more

First visit was today. I must say it's everything one may look for in a Doctor for your child. Small, personal and friendly practice that is an easy to get to location.I left our child's pediatrics center after 5 years for various reasons, mainly my own fault in not finding someone like Mike. This practice reminds me of how it was one I was a kid and went to see a doctor. One doctor, some nurses and small friendly staff vs. 12 doctors with a large and rude staff that take on more patients than they can handle. In this day of profit maximization vs. quality it appears Mike and his staff have chosen the latter of the two. So far this is my kind of place. I'm usually on Yelp only to give bad reviews but not this time. I wish we had found this doctor years ago. read more

Growing Healthy Together does not take my insurance but I came here to get a second opinion about my sons. I was about to give up trying to find a good practitioner until I found Mike. He is not only knowledgeable and caring but he also takes a holistic approach to medicine that works well with our family. My son was getting worse and worse as the days go by and Mike even came in on a Sunday to see him. I really hope they start taking my insurance soon because I love bringing my sons here! read more

Growing Healthy Together is every parent's dream! I am so fortunate that both my daughters are always given the utmost medical care and attention around the clock (literally)! Mike and his team are ALWAYS there when I need them. Being able to message them through PingMD is truly what sets them apart from other pediatric clinics. I always get a response within minutes even on holidays or nights. Being a mommy of two babies under two, I tend to panic at the sight of anything (sometimes nothing). Being able to get a PingMD response that everything is okay at 3 AM has saved me time at pointless emergency room visits. I also enjoy reading their newsletters- always keeping their patients informed of new changes, staff accomplishments, etc. Growing Healthy Together truly feels like a community. The staff remember my children by name and their personality. Sick visits are always available same day if you call first thing in the morning. What I love most about GHT is that they do not pressure me to vaccinate like other pediatric clinics do. Instead, they answer all my questions regarding different vaccines and let me decide. I have LOVED having Mike and his team as my pediatricians. It's been a very personal experience. I love that I can email them a picture and description of what I think might be chicken pox or an infection or whatever, and receive advice and even be given a basic Rx via email. I don't have to go in for an appointment for every little thing. Unlike other doctors we've tried, Mike recommended a very SIMPLE and natural way to prevent an ear infection. Garlic oil! I didn't know about this. When I suspected my baby's nasty cold was turning into an ear infection last winter, I didn't need to come in. I just called and Mike said to try garlic oil in her ears first. I went with his advice and guess what? No infection occurred. No antibiotics were necessary. That's awesome. James at the front desk, and all the staff are lovely. They are so accommodating with appointments and corresponding with my daughters' school about vaccine records and schedules. This is the best pediatric experience I've had in my 9 years of parenting, so I stick with them even though we've moved from LB. read more

They are open during evening hours, are located right off the freeway, and they answered every single one of our questions. They made us feel at ease with certain concerns that were not adequately addressed by our child's first pediatrician. We also found Nancy to be very knowledgeable, and extremely accessible. 5 stars do not do this place justice, would gladly give more if I could. read more

Mike has been such a big help to us over the last two months ever since our son arrived unexpectedly a month early.
