Update as of 9/11/26 :…read more We have been so pleased with our experience this year and last. We now have a half day kindergartener and a prek4 student in MWF half day. Both of our children's teachers have been wonderful to deal with. Our children have various neurodivergences, we have felt heard and supported through this entire journey. I was able to meet 1:1 with both teachers to explain more about our children and their unique needs. Our kindergartener comes home every day with a new nugget of knowledge and plenty of fun stories from his day. Every school will have its flaws and its hiccups, but I truly encourage anyone who is interested in this school to just take a tour and see for yourself. It's a very positive environment that truly celebrates God. Many "Christian" schools seem to be really just Christian in name only. Not here. I have been very happy with the balance of their education. The class sizes have been perfect for us. Each year will bring different numbers of kids of course, but so far we have been happy with the balance. I have heard that they sometimes combine grade levels if there aren't enough kids in a certain grade. I haven't experienced that yet so I can't speak much on it, but what I will say is that is no different than the co-ops we have also evaluated. It's not an uncommon thing to do in these smaller environments. We do plan to continue with our children in the program next year as well.

We were told we would have small class sizes but his class had 18 kids. 4th and 5th grades were combined. The poor teachers are so overworked. When we brought out concerns to Mrs Bandy she was dismissive and rude. Unfortunately there has been in increase in violent crime and homelessness in the area so we had concerns about safety, Mrs Bandy was particularly nasty about it, saying we should trust more in God's plan. In September, they let go very valued staff including Jennifer Gray, Paule Jones, Scott Himel, Khadi Miller, and a preschool teacher. In the letter to parents Beverly sited low enrollment as the reason. Jennifer was instrumental in running things smoothly and helped us so much. She was the stability. Nurse Paule was so helpful! In summary, Beverly Bandy is ruining this school. She is changing it from an academic and Christ centered environment to only being concerned about money. Beware!!!

I could not be more grateful to have found this gem. My sweet girl has grown tremendously. I have no doubt that between home and her time spent here she will be more than prepared to begin elementary school. Curriculum was important to me when I found Kiddie Academy, and I can say that Kiddie Academy has a great one. My baby girl is always learning something new. I'm a teacher and I come home and my daughter is discussing condensation and the water cycle with me, among other things. They are both so happy to go to school each day, my daughter literally does not want to miss a beat. I know that my children are loved and I'm so grateful for that. We recently moved out of the area to Aubrey, but my children will continue their preschool educations at Kiddie Academy Castle Hills because it honestly is that great. I send them each day and feel like I don't have to worry.

The curriculum is solid, and it's clear they focus on learning and development. That said, there were a few things that could have been better -- communication wasn't always consistent, and at times it felt like there was a lack of attention to individual needs. My son was enrolled in Guidepost Flower Mound's Spanish Immersion program for 18 months, and we rarely went more than a month without a major change or staff turnover. We stayed as long as we did because the Guides caring for our son were excellent, but they have all since left the school. Over time, it became apparent that there were significant issues behind the scenes. The atmosphere among staff often felt tense, and the administration was not transparent with families about changes affecting the school. Important decisions were typically communicated only after they had already been made. We ultimately decided to withdraw when the school announced the closure of the Spanish Immersion program. The announcement was sent to parents on a Friday evening and gave just two weeks' notice that children would be separated into existing classes. It offered only vague suggestions about future Spanish language instruction. There was no attempt to consult with parents beforehand, despite administrators stating the program had been under review for months. Attempts to seek clarification afterward were met with vague responses rather than clear answers. The final disappointment has been the handling of our deposit. In March, both the Head of School and administrators at TNC Schools confirmed in writing that our deposit would be returned. Several months later, we are still waiting. There has been no communication since March and no explanation for the delay. It is difficult to understand why a commitment made clearly and explicitly in writing has not been honored. Having toured many Montessori schools in the area, my impression is that Guidepost is priced as a premium option for local families. While every family must decide for themselves whether that cost is justified, our experience of constant staff turnover, program instability, poor communication, lack of transparency, and the school's failure to follow through on its written commitment to return our deposit did not reflect the level of professionalism and stability we expected. For those reasons, I cannot recommend the school to other families.

As parents, we did not feel the concerns were handled with the seriousness or urgency they deserved. Following our withdrawal, Guidepost Montessori confirmed in writing that we were owed a refund totaling $2,156, including deposits and an overpayment. We were told a refund check had been requested. Unfortunately, nearly four months passed without receiving any refund, despite repeated follow-ups. We contacted school administration, regional management, and were later informed that refunds were being handled by a new entity after a change in ownership. Even after being redirected and providing all documentation again, we received no payment and no response for an extended period of time. The lack of accountability, communication, and professionalism--especially after concerns related to our child's well-being--has been extremely disappointing and stressful for our family. A school that promotes trust, care, and Montessori values should demonstrate the same responsibility in how it treats families, both emotionally and financially. I strongly encourage prospective families to ask very detailed questions about administration stability, classroom oversight, and refund policies before enrolling.
