Russell walked us through each step and checked in to make sure all of our questions were answered immediately. During this past winter we had lots of water concerns in our back yard and Russell made sure each time it rained he was here to ensure our property was properly being drained during the work. Each home required a pump, a complication; and each home had other issues to add to the degree of difficulty. I dealt primarily with Eric; he was patient with my questions and offered location options for the pump and electrical box. He was thinking of me as a homeowner and my future in this home; not just as a job to get done. He also assisted with references for tree work that was unrelated to his project but important to me. Today completes house #1; permits, inspections & back-filling. Finish grading and seeding will start tomorrow. House #2 is next; the easier of the two project. I'm certain it will be a breeze. There was also no resistance when I asked for a copy of their insurance certificate, I received it via email; I needed to put my eyes on it! I would HIGHLY recommend putting D. I…read morecalled many contractors for quotes, and they where not only the best priced, but responded quickly and professionally. In addition, they included all permitting, pumping, and inspection fees, so there where no surprise costs. I had difficult access to my back yard and several arborvitae trees needed to be removed. Not only did they carefully scoop out the trees with the excavator, but they helped keep them alive by pouring water on the root balls and put them back in place when the job was done! They worked very quickly and the finished job is much better than I expected (which is why I felt compelled to write this review). The topsoil is nice and flat with very few stones, and all evidence of the huge dirt piles are all cleaned up. I don't normally write reviews, but understand that shopping around for contractors can be stressful with no way to compare other than price quotes. If your in my situation with a bad septic or any other need, hopefully this helps you make an informed decision. I will not hesitate to call GT Excavating for any other site work I need in the future.

I had a representative from this company contact me in October of 2021. It took quite some time…read morejust to arrange to have a representative look at the approved plans for an extension and modifications to an existing stone revetment on my property located on the ocean in Buzzards Bay. After many emails and unanswered phone calls I received a proposal for the project. I requested one small language change that they agreed to and I agreed to them doing the project for roughly $116,000. Months went by while I was awaiting the final draft of the contract. All calls to their office go unanswered with a message that their mailbox was full and calls to the cell of the representative who bid the project always went unanswered and his mailbox was always full. Finally, the week of April 10th I received the final contract dated the same as the one five months prior without the already approved language addition and an increase in total price of $24,000. They would never give a start date and ultimately I was told that they just have too much work to be answering phone calls. This company is about as unprofessional as it gets, They appear to be in way over their heads and I would be very, very skeptical of considering them for any project.

I reviewed some of the issues we had had. She didn't want to address any of that, kept haranguing me about the time delay in reviewing. I finally hung up. No follow-up by Beth on the CONTENT of my review at all, other than to get the review deleted somehow. The office staff were nice to deal with. The water remediation was good. Hired re: water leaks. Upgraded: a redo of the very small bathroom, out of pocket. Did not get any of the shower/fixtures as preordered, no support bar as ordered, Sheetrock lines/bubbles in paint, etc. Early on, painters completely painted in the door mechanism and painted without smoothing surfaces (said we didn't specifically order smoothing of walls), bubbles & lines, etc. Repainting still left bubbles/sheetrock lines.
