What does one say about a chain grocery store? It has everything you would expect and it's a good…read moresize for being located in a fairly dense neighbourhood. The floral department has been going all out lately - lots of plants exploding out of the department - though I can't say about the quality as I've never bought plants from here. They have increased their Halal food section lately, and have a pretty good selection of dairy-free and/or gluten-free things for the size of the store. You won't find everything you need here (the Superstore on Barrington is a bit better for that reason) but it's pretty decent. The prices definitely feel steeper than at Superstore though.

And even the most vulnerable people need groceries, so it seems reasonable to think that a grocery store might be more cautious about a public health emergency than some other businesses. Masks are not required in this store, and haven't been in months. Most people in the store don't wear masks, including some of the employees. Nothing is done anymore to enable people to keep some distance between themselves and others. What finally pushed me to write this review is that, when I went a few days ago, there were people fundraising for something at the exit. None of those people were wearing masks, and their positioning at the exit made it impossible to avoid them. Just terrible handling of an ongoing crisis.

The fruit and vegetable section is fairly large and selection is usually pretty good. Bakery and bread goods host far too many delicious temptations. Checkouts usually move quite quickly. The store is, for the most part, laid out in the order I expect. Some important tips: * It's always busy at this Superstore. Al. Ways. I don't know why but it is. * It's a grocery store. If you're looking for a wide variety of Joe Clothing or other stuff, head over to the gi-normous Portland Street location. * It's parking lot is always full. You should expect that you're not going to get a spot right next to the door. * It's got a wine shop but that's it in terms of liquor. * If you're taking transit, there's only one bus: the #62 which has an unusual schedule. Make sure you know it before you head over.

These things are annoying but what happened today was quite upsetting. The product I was purchasing was on sale, but the deal was you had to buy 2 to get the sale price. As it happened there was only 1 left. I would gladly have bought the 2 items to get the sale price but they didn't have 2. Is that really my fault? Should I have to pay the price for their inability to keep the shelves stocked. It may seem like a small thing to some but in these times of rampant inflation every penny of savings counts.

This business is very out dated and dirty. They are mice that roam they are rabid (i've got bitten…read moreshopping. You're lucky i don't press charges.) They even got into my bread and laid droppings. Ive gotten so much rotten fruit from this store (i also seen bugs or worms crawling in the produce section. It really grossed me out.) this business also has horrible customer service.(the employees are rude and they don't help out with anything they sit on there (pardon my language) asses all day and don't do shit ( i had went to get cookies from the bakery and there was hair in them and when i went to ask someone about it they said " fuck off deal with it yourself you old saggy bitch." I felt very offended. I then asked to talk to the manager and they said "i am the manager bitch you big fat saggy old lady monkey." I ran out the store hysterically. I cried in my car on the way home thinking about the things they said, it really made me never wanna go back.) also I think the store needs maintenance to make the environment a better and cleaner place for your citizens (for instance the roof was leaking brown most likely rust. I only had noticed this because i felt something grasp the top of my head and i felt it and it was wet and then i looked up and it was rusted with water dripping everywhere and it seemed like nobody cared.) overall i think we need a new building, employees ... etc.
