I ordered the Jerk Pork with Rice & Peas and Veggies (cabbage). The food itself was decent, but lacked a little bit of the real jerk flavour, and some of the pork was a little bit dry... almost as though new tender meat was mixed with older meat... this removed a half star for sure. The rice & peas and cabbage were good though. Also they did get the order right and the portions were pretty generous. They got the request for extra condiments and cutlery correct as well, something I find that is often missed with online ordering. PROS: - Easy to find (inside the mall food court) - Order accuracy - Generous portions - Pricing... value is pretty fair CONS: - Moisture of the meat (inconsistent) - Longer than stated wait time for pickup - Taste was "okay", could have used more "jerk" in the pork While I'm not waiting on bated breath for the next visit, I think I will try them again one day to see if (an)other food item(s) would be better. With slight improvements this could be a real go-to spot. And yes, as always, I'll keep you posted when that happens!

I think the best part of his meal was getting garlic sauce (Mojo de Ajo) that I'm assuming is made inhouse. I ordered a chicken soup and a plan Mofungo that was huge. My husband helped me eat both and we still had half the Mofungo leftover for a late night snack. Restaurant is small but nicely decorated. There was fun Latin music videos running. Our server was amazing and her English was enough to help us order.

We opted for the basic with and absolutely delicious churrasco steak on the side the mofongo was perfect. Fresh. Perfectly seasoned with crunchy bits of chicharone throughout. Our second meal was also delicious. A massive amount of roast pork with arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon pea) and a simple salad. Very good. The down sides are the food is pretty salty. A little more than I like but still edible and delicious. And the chairs are metal and very uncomfortable. I am willing to deal with that for this food though. I will go back gladly to sample some more of the menu.

Dishes include okra and meat stew, Militoj (chayote) and meat stew, bouillon soup which has pumpkin and other vegetables and meat, Lalo which is a green vegetable almost like a spinach (called Jews mallow in Egypt and common there and in the Middle East), Haitian style spaghetti which has cut up hot dogs in a tomato sauce, maya moulin which is a corn salad stew, oxtail, fried fish which is usually a whole fried snapper, griot which is fried pork, fried chicken, fried turkey, beef, goat and chicken wings. For sides they have salad, fried green banana, macaroni salad, black beans, rice and beans, white rice, black bean sauce (which is delicious Haitian style, usually contains some cloves or allspice and puréed into a thick black bean sauce), noir sos or white bean sauce, and pento sos or pinto beans. I received a huge plate of white rice, to stones, salad and pickliz and a cup of pinto bean soup. The pinto beans were delicious and hot, rice steaming hot and very good, pickliz super hot and delicious ! Better than most pickliz I've had, fresh and super spicy with habanero or scotch bonnet, I can tell it was freshly made. One of the best Haitian restaurants I've been to in south Florida and I'll return to try out more things.

My husband ordered a small brown stewed chicken dish. They also have mini and large sizes. I got the small oxtail. We both got rice n peas and vegetables as our sides. The oxtail was so very tender. The gravy was rich, meaty, and lick the plate delicious. My husband liked his brown stew chicken equally as much. Even though I had thought I'd have leftovers for dinner, neither of us left anything on our plates to take home. To drink, he had ginger beer and I had a Jamaican creme soda. We also bought a couple beef patties -- one mild and one spicy -- to try later on. (They were very good, btw.) We look forward to returning to try some of their other authentic Carribean dishes. Maybe the curried goat or the chicken?
